Today’s big news was, of course, confirmation that Nemanja Vidic is ruled out for the season with a knee injury. The injuries rack up for David Moyes, with Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman both absent for the trip to Arsenal with hamstring strains.

Steve Kean will give late fitness tests to Ruben Rochina and Martin Olsson, Nigel Reo Coker is a big doubt for Bolton and Alan Pardew is considering handing French teenager Mehdi Abeid a first-team start in central midfield as injury-ravaged Newcastle make their way to Norwich, with the Magpies boss still crossing his fingers over Fabricio Coloccini.

Micah Richards remain a doubt for Man City due to a calf problem, with Pablo Zabaleta expected to fill in at right-back in the event of his absence as the leaders travel to Chelsea.

All the gameweek’s latest reports, injuries and bans, as well as predicted lineups, are continuously updated on our Team News page. As ever, our Twitter feed provides breaking links, direct from the source.

If Bale is out and VdV starts and does something....I still should've made the transfer 5 weeks ago.

0.2 of that move, it would involve a 4pt hit downgrading one of Howard, VDV, Walters..something i'm not to keen on unless i do VDV -> Bale, but i feel like iv missed that boat..

Play Dyer (FUL) or O'Hara (man) this weekend? Dyer obviously has the best fixture but Utd are coming into the game off a defeat and with a new defensive line. Wouldn't be surprised if Wolves went 451 with O'Hara further forward. Dyer is reliable but never seems to do much...

Sorry, pretty much thinking out loud there - Views appreciated!

Agreed. I think 'Arry would have brought VDV back into the side anyway, justifying it by saying that Stoke away is a hard game, so he thought he needed an extra man in the middle - despite VDV and Defoe playing virtually the same role.

Expect Bale to start too though, so not going to go back to VDV.

Who did Man Utd beat a Romanian team twice that's all! Bit of a joke that Man City didn't qualify either considering the money they spent. Who did Man City beat ? A very poor Villarreal team twice and a reserve Bayern team that already qualified..

I am feeling very guilty about the Vidic injury. I transferred him in during the Villa v United match. On the logic that he is "safe and hardly ever gets injured". I also seem to remember when I transferred Rooney in he was out the next game.
I am starting to wonder is this a pattern? I also have P Jones...
He seems to be going OK for the time being. However, if anything happens Jones, surely its not a coincidence?

We all know Bale will sit out this game, VDV will score a goal and a penalty and everyone will be doing Bale > VDV this week, bound to happen.

Bale injured will make getting Mata in so much easier next week.

Sorry that was a bit general 🙂 I meant I'll feel much better about doing Bale > Mata. I've had Bale since GW10 and I'm loathe to sell him, but I think Mata is on the cusp of scoring some big points! The only thing stopping me is the DGW, but I have VDV.

It's a late fitness test which suggests to me if he does miss this weekend he'll be back for the Sunderland home game.

Got a little story for you lads.

My mate is horrible at FPL, and is subsequently rock bottom in his work place mini league. Recently he has been on the end of a fair bit of stick - especially from his boss, who is on top of he league - gloating heavily. Apparently his boss is a right winker. I had a look at my mate's team, and seeing the budget, decided to put his team into administration for 1 GW.

The team is now on a wild card. How does it look?

    Vorm, Ruddy
    Vermaelen, Jones, NTaylor, Wilko, McAuley
Mata, Bale, OHara, Ben Arfa, BJohnson
    RVP, Adebayor, Sturridge

    0.1 left

    Ideas?

think that team needs some united attack in it ,

Can you not get a nani by downgarading ade , maybe verm .

Yeah, with United's fixtures you could triple up:

        Verm > Smalling
        Mata > Nani

Not sure about Arfa, he doesn't seem to have nailed down a spot yet although he will be a bargain once he does. Not many other options at that price I suppose
