With no televised (English) top-flight game yesterday, Sunday’s double-header has us eagerly anticipating some live Premier League action. The Dugout Discussion opens for the second day of Gameweek 15, with a relegation scrap and a game between two sides aiming for Europe.

We start at the Stadium of Light as Martin O’Neill takes over the reigns as Sunderland manager. His first assignment is against a Blackburn side whose manager, in total contrast, is hanging onto his job for dear life. Having said that, Steve Kean has a win against Swansea last week to build on. Here are the all-important team sheets…

Sunderland XI: Westwood, O’Shea, Bardsley, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Larsson, Colback, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Wickham.

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Formica, Dunn, Lowe, Pederson, Vuckevic, Yakubu.

Sunderland striker Niklas Bendtner is kept out with a groin injury, and in his place Connor Wickham gets his first league start since October. The visitors are also without a key striker, as Junior Hoilett picked up a training ground hamstring injury that sees him miss out.

Following that it’s over to the Britannia Stadium where Stoke City host Tottenham Hotspur. Stoke’s ambition this season will be to match last season’s success of reaching the Europa League, whereas the visitor’s will have their sights set on returning to Europe’s premier competition after a year out. That’ll then just leave Monday night’s grand finale at Stamford Bridge to bring the gameweek to a close.

      I can do this exact move with nothing remaining only if i act tonight. Bale isnt due to rise anytime soon so VDV--->Nani for now then see what Moyes says about Drenthe (if anything).

      not good. sturridge has been pretty consistent and you'll have to swap again in a few weeks when Ba disappears. Plus I think Chelsea are hitting some form whereas I think Newcastle are about to go into a slump.

      Its not a bad move, one im considering myself. Although i do think its 50/50 in terms of fixture. Swansea did ship 4 at Blackburn. Chelsea been pretty good away from home, ala bolton, newcastle. Decisions

        True say. Suppose its better to stick with the better eam in these situations but ba is defying all odds. The slump will come but doubt itl be anytime soon with 2home games on the horizon.

    C'mon then..
    Walters and Ramsey > Jarvis and Nani, and not for a hit.

    Ramsey's been a waste of space, Walters' time is up, Nani is hopefully in for a hot run of form, and Jarvis, well, is cheap with a couple of good home games!

    I am facing a tremendous Dilemma about this.......

    Mata Bale Sliva Walters Ndyer

    Rvp Ade Ba

    I can prove any valid reason from the front 8 to take out for Nani.... He is a must haves now..... I need Nani badly now....can't miss his haul.

    Also is this transfers worth for a 4 point hit ?

    Walters and Ade are worth in the team due to set-pieces and penos.

    So what to do now ?

    Richards ➡ Shutton instead of ade transfer but this is not worth thou....

      Shutton playing in midfield as a defender, feeding long throws looks like a prospect for 4.0 indeed.

      Dyer seems like a bigger concern for you, doubt simpson is very much value with Newcastle leaky at the back aswell..

      you face no dilemma imo, i dunno what your trying to change, your team seems fine and obviously doing well as your ranked high, wouldnt take ade out at all, nor walters, nani is not the be all and end of all to get in your team, freat if you can but not imperative. just get rid of richards if still injured.

    VDV to Nani done. Health warning for all those thinking of doing the same:

    2 weeks ago, considered Rooney out, Adebayor in. Didn't do it, Ade scored two, Roo did nothing. Did the swap the next week, Ade does nothing.

    1 week ago, considered Ramsey & Brown out, Bale and Jones in. Didn't do it. Bale and Jones get mega points, Ramsey and Brown do nothing. Did the swap last week, Bale and jones do nothing this week.

    On this basis, Nani will do nothing next week. Sorry kneejerkers.

        Someone suggested 'Arry wants his penalty taker to always be on the field. Ade is a guaranteed starter whereas VDV is not. I would assume Ade will take from now on, assuming he doesn't miss.

    1. Baines, Nani and Sessegnon.
    2. Evans, Nani and Mata.

    Former can be done for free, latter for a 4 point hit.

        he's done nothing for the last 5 gameweeks, didn't do anything again today and mata has been doing something every week. You can hold on if you like but it seems stupid with Nani and Mata doing well to keep hoping VDV will score big, ESPECIALLY now he's not on pens.

          strange you mention it, but vdv in the first 5 gw got 225 minutes, did practically nothing, everyone sold him, had wig next and look where he went from there, last 5 gw vdv has got 238 minutes, has SUN next, I think you should sell him but I'm keeping 🙂

    With the forward and defence I have, I have finally given in to the fact that i can't have 3 mid-fielders of 8.5 or more in my team. If anyone believe there is a way, speak up.

      Tend to agree with you. You have the optimum forward line though so leave that.

      Jones, BAE, Drenthe and Walters will all need downgrading if you want to add Nani or Mata.

          Have you looked at Gower? 5 assists already this season and 4.6. That'll save you some cash and if you are brave/foolhardy enough, Moses at 4.6 rotates very well with SWN, so you could play them alternate weeks. 🙂
