With no televised (English) top-flight game yesterday, Sunday’s double-header has us eagerly anticipating some live Premier League action. The Dugout Discussion opens for the second day of Gameweek 15, with a relegation scrap and a game between two sides aiming for Europe.

We start at the Stadium of Light as Martin O’Neill takes over the reigns as Sunderland manager. His first assignment is against a Blackburn side whose manager, in total contrast, is hanging onto his job for dear life. Having said that, Steve Kean has a win against Swansea last week to build on. Here are the all-important team sheets…

Sunderland XI: Westwood, O’Shea, Bardsley, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Larsson, Colback, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Wickham.

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Formica, Dunn, Lowe, Pederson, Vuckevic, Yakubu.

Sunderland striker Niklas Bendtner is kept out with a groin injury, and in his place Connor Wickham gets his first league start since October. The visitors are also without a key striker, as Junior Hoilett picked up a training ground hamstring injury that sees him miss out.

Following that it’s over to the Britannia Stadium where Stoke City host Tottenham Hotspur. Stoke’s ambition this season will be to match last season’s success of reaching the Europa League, whereas the visitor’s will have their sights set on returning to Europe’s premier competition after a year out. That’ll then just leave Monday night’s grand finale at Stamford Bridge to bring the gameweek to a close.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for all today’s action.

very tight. Both sides too concede though, but Chelsea have improved defensively. I'd say 1-1.

I think it will rest on Mata v Silva

I'd agree. I've got the same keepers, I'll probably go with Vorm out of habit, can't see either getting a cleanie.

Tis tricky. Between Everton and Newcastle's 22 predicted players to line up, I'd only fancy Ba to score. With him as captain and Naylor playing, I fancy giving Ruddy a go.

Just some thoughts about transferring RVP out, I'll likely never have the cojones to do it, but I'll theorise.

Downgrading RVP to a 5.3m forward (options would be pretty much Helguson/Graham/Ameobi) I could have a midfield of Silva - Mata - Walcott - Nani - Bale.

Comparing Walcott and RVP from GW8, what you might consider to be the start of RVP's run of form he has scored; 12,11,19,11,13,2,15,6*. Walcott in the same period has scored; 2,2,9,6,5,7,5,3*. That's a total of 89 and 11.125 PG for RVP, and 39 and 4.875 PG for Walcott.

Working this out as I go along, there is a notable difference between the 2, however Walcott is showing an increased consistency, even if it looks as if he's been told he's getting penetrated if he scores. The upside of the transfer though is bringing Nani in, who could easily go on a run of form.

Food for thought maybe, I'll be looking at this for GW18 I think.

I was all set to take a punt and drop Silva for Mata after this weekend, just until the January wildcard, but yet again VDV has drawn a blank.

My front 8 at the moment is:
    Sinclair Drenthe VDV Nani Silva
    Sturridge RVP Welbeck

So do I go Silva to Mata? Or VDV to Mata and hope to god Spurs keep playing like they did today?

Repeat from above. Could really do with an answer cos I think Nani might go up tonight
Im thinking of doing Drenthe and Aguero OUT for Nani and Ba for a 4 pt hit. Worth it do you think? I don’t have any Utd coverage, which was serving me well until this week!

Last year Nani was incredible at home and a bit iffy away, this year he seems to have similar PPG for both (I can't be arsed to work it out). Given this would you still make a move for him this week or just hold off for the two weeks?

    Hey Everyone,

When do the prices drop? I am going to transfer Ramsey for Mata. However, i want to wait one more day to make sure that Mata comes through healthy. On totalFPL.com he is a RED 70.76% will he drop tonight or am i safe one for more day? Do prices only drop overnight?

Id lose Walcott tbh, im actually considering losing RVP for Aguero soon(rotation / 2 tuff away games/prob be rested in the easier home game v wolves over Xmas) but thats not a move you need to make yet anyway. Maybe Adam for walcott,,adam is expensive but he consistently chips in with 5's and 6's so im v.happy with him in my team (apart from the fact that he's a scouser!). Your priority should be on getting Jones in somehow,,he's an essential imo
Keep up the good work.....Rookie 😉
