Thoughts on Aguero? Only 3 goals in 9 gameweeks, Only 2 BP in that time! Too expensive for these returns given that he only plays 70 mins?

I am planning on shipping him out tonight if its a quiet game for him. Think will go for Rooney for the festive period as hopefully less of a rotation risk

Theirs basically Nani Valencia & Young amongst others, for 2 spots. None of them will probably play every game. Nani has played a lot this season. I could see Nani being rested for the Wigan or Blackburn game, with Newcastle a few days after.

this is what i'm worried about, valencia playing so well on saturday wasn't the best thing that could have happened to nani. it doesn't matter if nani did well too, for the first time this season valencia has put in a valid claim for nani's most frequent position

In need of some ideas for this gw.
    Current team is:

    Vorm (ruddy)
    Walker, Enrique, Simpson, (wilkinson, naylor)
    Nani, bale, Walters, silva (ferguson)
    Rooney, rvp, Ade

0.2 in the bank and 1 ft

Or leave and roll ft to next week?

    Vorm
    Baines | Brown | Naylor
    Nani | Silva | Bale | Walters
    RVP | Adebayor | Ba

    Subs: Foster, Allen, Barnett, Wilkinson
    1 FT with 0.4m banked.

I learnt my lesson benching Vorm this week, second penalty save I have missed out on from my two keepers in the last 3 weeks. Vorm will likely play every week now as I am terrified on missing out on another of those hauls.

I need to sort out what is possibly the worst subs bench in history. I'm thinking of Wilko/Barnett to Evans but am I mad to consider downgrading Silva to free up funds and improve the defence? Every manager in my mini league has him!

Advice appreciated. Please and thank you.

Well I've just looked the fixtures. GW 18 and 19 are immense. There will be a few centuries IMO. For those weeks, we need to have as much big hitters as possible. Especially in midfield. You are on the right track there IMO. I have the cash and one of the options were bringing in Baines now. But with GW 18 and 19 I am gonna feel bad having 8m in some Everton winger/full back while the casuals are gonna have exploding scores. So my advice would be to sell Baines and spread the cash. There are a lot of 6m defenders who can do the job for u/us. I would want Terry before Baines too.

      Hope that helps.
      Cheers,

        Sell b-b-Baines b-b-before the DGW?!

Well I know that there is double upcoming. But even those potential points from Baines in GW20 will surely be already earned in GW 18-19 for using that cash in midfield with Nani, Mata, Bale, DVD IMO. Just a thought. Every fantasy manager has to do the same according to me: spread the cash wisely 😉

I don't see the big deal about Baines's double gameweek, doubt he'll get anything away to Spurs. With that said, I've had him all season and am keeping him. If I sell the money's going elsewhere in defence.

Wilko/Barnett to Evans looks sensible to me.

I don't think Silva out is madness. You could go Silva > Yaya if you wanted to keep Citeh coverage or Silva > Mata. Personally I think Mata would be a better option looking at fixtures and also he's not going to F*** off for the African Nations Cup.

Through 14 gameweeks, Silva is in lower half of the list in terms of points per price. Obviously this doesnt matter if you cant use those extra funds to make up the difference elswhere, but the truth is that even top tier defenders that arent doing so well have better points/price figures. So I would honestly Downgrade any midfielder that I wouldnt be willing to captain in order to have premium defenders and a stronger forward line. In your case, I think bale and walters are great, they are up there in Points per price, Nani will also increase his averages over this stretch and he is captain material so I like that one as well. Silva, I would agree for you to let go.
Value is in Defenders and Forwards this year.

Worried about my two Aresnal players especially Verm at the back this week. Not taking anymore 4point hits until it is absolutely necessary. Team for next week:

    Hey,

    This is my team:

    Vorm
    Jones/Shawcross/R Taylor
    Bale/Larsson/Walters/Silva
    Adebayor/RvP/Aguero

Am not sure with the upcoming January to transfer window and wildcard whether it’s wise to take an 8 point hit just yet. But thinking about either

Aguero –> Rooney (4 point hit) as would have to get a cheaper sub on

    OR

Aguero –> Ba, Walters –> Nani, then as I have too many newcastle players, to either swap Tiote (sub) for a cheaper player, or swap R Taylor for Jagielka?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Is Mata, DVD/Silva, Bale, Nani too much cash in midfield? I could have all of them or one of them should get the chop and I should take Walters instead? I need help I am having Brunt headache, something that I needed to solve a long time ago. Every possible transfers I want it to make was better then him and for a hit too, but I haven't. My bad.

I might downgrade Kompany and bring Mata for him or someone in the same price range as Mr. "6 blanks in a row" Brunt. But I am not very fond of Larsson and Walters fixtures for now. Why I didn't went for Larsson 4 weeks ago (face palm). With Rodwell injured I don't have a clue what to to.

Man just a few posts ago you seemed to have your mind made up. Going that big in midfield isn't what I'll be doing but it could definitely work out, you have the two best cheap strikers, a good enough defence to justify downgrading one of them, so I'd say just go with your instincts. But yeah, definitely get rid of Brunt.

He makes six saves, saves a penalty and keeps a clean sheet. The only way keepers have any chance of bonus seems to be in 0-0 draws or 1-0 wins where both teams can`t string 2 passes together or get a shot on target.

Yeah it's ridiculous. They are going out their way to award bonus points away from the obvious and deserved player! What else does Vorm need to do? The penalty save was massive in that game as it was heading for 1-1 towards the end. Swansea got a lift from that and increased their lead right after. The Bonus Bams need to be stopped!

ONE of 31 players who received a bonus was a defender or goalie (Bardsley). Is that right?

What a consistent, awful bonus system.

I would lose Eagles or Drenthe. Prob Eagles. Was gonna say Lennon but you have 3 Spurs.

You could take a 4 point hit and get rid of Brown & Eagles/Drenthe and get Shotton & one of these guys - Yaya/Milner/Adam Jonhnson/Ramires.....

You need some United cover. I'd ship out Arteta and Drenthe to make space for Nani and another.

    Vorms / Ruddy
    Vermaelen / Enrique / Jones / kelly / R Taylor
    Bale / Silva / Larsson / Gower
    RVP / Ba / Adebayor

    OR:
    (8 point hit)

    Vorms / Ruddy
    Enrique / Jones / Samba / Kelly / R Taylor
    Nani / Silva / Larsson / Gower / Ferguson
    RVP / BA / Rooney

where I buy back Vermaelen, Ade and Silva after Manchesters easy fixes, and Arsenals sure big loss against City.

Perhaps Bale / Mata (or Nani?) / Silva / Gower / Ferguson, but then I can't change Ade with Rooney. 4 point hit.

OH HELL NO !! Vorm ( 6 SVS + 1 PS) didn't get a single bp, but Szczesny did (0 SVS - I mean the guy was just standing there the whole game doing NOTHING) . And I don't even want 2 start with VP ( scored the winning goal) , and is awarded only 1, the same as Gary Cahill (.....and yes another WTF).....

It's total nonsense. RVP scores an absolute beauty of a goal, far better than any of the dross Chich scored in the 1-0s, and gets 1 bap because he had some shots off target.

Vorm single handedly gets Swansea 2 points with 6 saves and penno, and gets nothing.

Adebayor scores 1, has another unfairly ruled out. Gets nothing.

Wonder how many BAPS Charlie Adam would have got last season under these stupid rules.

Bonus points are completely unrealistic and such a subjective measure should be eradicated from FPL immediately. Discuss...
