The impossible has happened. After five long years, Michel Vorm delivered my first penalty save of my Fantasy Football management career. There could be no question – this latest episode had to be dedicated to Swansea’s Dutch stopper.

Ironically, it follows last week’s outing that found me lamenting my cursed luck. Vorm answered my prayer (or moans – Mark) – the monkey is finally off my back, and I can hardly contain my joy during this week’s session.

Elsewhere, the regulars are scattered around discussing the dubious merits of Jonny Evans, talk a hamstrung Van der Vaart, the shifting goalposts of the Fantasy Island Risk and Mark’s quest to win his own Cup competition. The selfish bugger.

Come get some here.

Alternatively, stream away on the handy player below.

when i google Drenthe to look for any inside scoop, its 99% the same article about jagielka saying they need him back this weekend.
Is there anything to take away from his comments? Does it help persuade Moyes in his selection at all?

Wilkinson should go, took another knock and is out of favour now as well. I also heard Turner is out of favour too. Caulker or Kelly(ful) look like cheap replacements, preferably the first though, or maybe Simpson if you don't have him.

Actually scrap that, get Shotton 🙂

Ages since I've done a RMT. This team seems fairly stock-standard on here.

    Vorm
    Enrique // Jones // Taylor. R
    Nani (VC) // Silva // Bale // O'Hara
    RvP // Ade // Ba (C)

    Subs: Given, Barnett, Ramsey, Wilkinson

Team value: 106.9m (1.5m in bank)

Save transfer or do Wilkinson > Jagielka even though I wont play him?

I am seriously thinking of selling RVP, (purchased with 11.9M) to have a stronger mid field. I have only few players with fav. fixtures. I need to take few risks, as my league leader is 100 pnts ahead.

    Vorm (Al-Habsi)
    Jones~Vermaelen~Walker (Wilkinson~De Laet)
    O'Hara~Sessegnon~Nani~VDV (Dyer)

RVP has had an amazing scoring record every single year he's been in Premier League. It's only injuries that have stopped him from scoring.

DON'T GET RID, HE WILL KEEP GOING! You'll fall behind, very quickly without him.

I'm obviously losing the plot here completely. What is this obsession with Drenthe? He's shown a few flashes of brilliance, played one good (16pt) match and then got injured. Nevertheless so many folk are obsessing over him. He's 5.9, by no means nailed-on, unproven, injured and playing on an unreliable team. What am I missing?

in all seriousness, its not a logical transfer atm, unless there were some magical confirmation that he'd start. I rate his potential when fit higher than anyone else in his price or cheaper. So if he does what I believe he can, the fixtures would make me want to take a shot. Alas, I will refrain, for at least the next 25 hours 26 minutes and 18 seconds.

I would go Rooney although WBA have been so inconsistent Yakubu could be a massive differential. RVP and Silva will get points just I don't think as many and Bale will have a tough game against the newly inspired SUN.

    Krul (Vorm)

    Enrique Evans Kompany (Warnock, Simpson)

    Mata Nani Bale Silva (Dyer)

    RVP Ba Adebayor

Who would you captain? Torn between Ba and Mata.

    Morning Everyone,

I’m really unsure about this week which way to go. I think its time to get rid of Rodwell but I’m unsure who for tbh!

I have 1.7 in the bank so would have 7.0 to spend on a replacement and thinking either Larsson or Walters or does anyone think there are bigger issues in my team?

    Krul (Hennessey)

Simpson Jones Jose Enrique (Shorey, Wilkinson)
    Silva Nani Bale ?? (Moses)
    Sturridge, Adebayor RVP

Captain choice is difficult, thinking RVP at City or possibly Nani or Sturridge I think the resurgent Sun will make a big haul more difficult for Tot boys.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks

So Drenthe has dropped. THat gives me the chance to do Dyer to Drenthe and VDV to Bale. Seems stupid, could be genius....will probably massively fail.

Same odds as they were for him to make more than one transfer earlier in the week, despite strongly supporting the idea of him not doing one 😀

    Given > Hennesey
    Lescott > Evans

Not worth it at all, I'm assuming you have Vorm? Just go Given > Hennesey and hold tight.

Yaya Toure failed to impress Wenger as a youngster apparently.

Love stories like that...what could have been.

Remember reading once that Fergie wasn't impressed by Thierry Henry at a younger age because he was "all pace"

To be fair to Wenger, he looked all pace when we bought him and looked awful for the first three months, but the rest is history. At that time Wenger called everything correct and I will never knock his management between 1996-2004.

    BREAKING NEWS

    Berbatov is fit.

And you thought picking a captain this week was difficult enough. Phew. Now Im truly stumped.

Because you want to buy him? or because it could impact on Rooney?

Have to say this is probably one of the most difficult weeks to choose a captain through many options and there's no restbite as next midweek looks just as difficult for all the wrong reasons.
