This Sunday brings a whole host of soccer action across the globe. Right now Santos are trying valiantly to hold off Barcelona in Japan while in the evening there’s some tasty action on the continent. The Dugout Discussion opens for the juicy Premier League filling in this football sandwich…

QPR play host to Manchester United in an earlier than normal kick-off as Gary Neville sets in for a triple header of televised “Super Sunday” fixtures – with a fourth game off screens for good measure.

Neil Warnock drafts in Matthew Connolly for the injured Anton Ferdinand while Heidar Helguson returns from injury himself. Ferguson must have a temperature as he makes the rare decision to field an unchanged side from that which beat Wolves – his usual fables on the injury front also show Javier Hernandez fit enough to return to the bench. Teams in full are…

QPR XI: Cerny; L Young, Connolly, Gabbidon, Traore; Wright-Phillips, Barton, Faurlin, Mackie; Helguson, Bothroyd (Subs: Kenny, Orr, Hill, Derry, Taarabt, Campbell, Smith).

United XI: De Gea; Smalling, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Jones, Nani; Rooney, Welbeck (Subs: Berbatov, Giggs, Park, Hernandez, Young, Lindegaard, Fryers.).

Fantasy Managers will then have to settle in for not just Aston Villa hosting Liverpool but Manchester City against Arsenal on television screens. Plenty of captain’s armbands will be following Spurs vs Sunderland also going on while these two games take place.

This Dugout Discussion is also my last planned contribution for quite some time so I’ll wish you all many happy returns over the hectic festive period of football coming up while I’m here. Thanks for your continued support over what’s been a grand old 2011.

Have I left it too late to buy Enrique? Keep putting it off. Thought he was a Konch MKII fantasy wise, then there were dodgy fixtures, then the price rise, then the Lucas injury, then the Carragher cameo...

You have Sturridge or Ba in your team?

I'd perhaps do that, upgrade my midfield and get in some Liverpool defense (2 very easy clean sheet fixtures coming up), instead. Don't think Rooney will be more dangerous away against Aston Villa than Sturridge will be home against Stoke. Liverpool defenders are bound to get a clean sheet, and increasing your midfield options could be smart with the upcoming gameweeks.

Will Ramsey be back for next gameweek?

If not, I have to change my team (RMT):

    Vorm / Ruddy

    Enrique / Jones / Caulker / N Taylor / R Taylor

    Nasri / Arteta / Silva / Bale / Gower

Van Persie / Ba / Sturridge

Possible changes Bale - Adam + Agger behind? Liverpool has 2 easy fixtures coming up.

I've been waiting to see how Gervinho plays in a top tier league match. While RVP is flying high and getting the headlines, Gervinho is a major cog in what makes the Arsenal offense tick.
