This Sunday brings a whole host of soccer action across the globe. Right now Santos are trying valiantly to hold off Barcelona in Japan while in the evening there’s some tasty action on the continent. The Dugout Discussion opens for the juicy Premier League filling in this football sandwich…

QPR play host to Manchester United in an earlier than normal kick-off as Gary Neville sets in for a triple header of televised “Super Sunday” fixtures – with a fourth game off screens for good measure.

Fantasy Managers will then have to settle in for not just Aston Villa hosting Liverpool but Manchester City against Arsenal on television screens. Plenty of captain’s armbands will be following Spurs vs Sunderland also going on while these two games take place.

This Dugout Discussion is also my last planned contribution for quite some time so I’ll wish you all many happy returns over the hectic festive period of football coming up while I’m here. Thanks for your continued support over what’s been a grand old 2011.

        yes, very disappointing performance so far

    why do Manchester City forget how to pass at 20 mins gone in the last two games? They scored V Chelsea and they decided to go LONNNNG and are now doing it again...they seem to boss games and then if in doubt.....lump it recently.

        RVP is often anonymous in games and then explodes into life. I don't know if it's a deliberate trick to fool the opposition he is off form or if his fitness tells late on

      Verm looks dangrous every time City have a free kick/corner.
      RVP is playing?? Mostly the head down race down corner alleys with the ball up front Gevinho getting all the mentions
      Sliva has been replaced by someone who cannot pass the ball
      Aurego couple of good chances...he did well with one to bring it under control from a cross on the wing before smashing it over.
