Wolves will need to make do without Jamie O’Hara once again this evening, as Norwich make their way to Molineux. Chelsea expect John Terry to be fit for Thursday’s clash with Spurs after suffering an Achilles tweak, while reports suggest Gareth Bale is winning his fitness battle ahead of the all-London showdown.

Steve Kean’s worries mount up, with Scott Dann and Gael Givet both out for Blackburn in tonight’s Lancashire derby with Bolton. Arsene Wenger and Alan Pardew both have dilemmas in the midfield area, with Alex Song and Yohan Cabaye missing out against Aston Villa and West Brom respectively due to one-match bans.

As ever, keep checking Team News for all the latest reports, outs and doubts and predicted lineups. There’s also our handy Twitter feed which brings you news links direct from the source.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

is it worth taking a 4 point hit to bring in Aguero and allen for adebayor and bale? The doubt on bale to play and a feeling that chelsea will take the game against tottenham is pushing me towards a rather rash decision...
... but this would enable me to put in vermaelen and rooney next week...
    thoughts?

When you buy players do you do so the day after the GW is finished so you get the maximum gains and minimum losses for a players value? Only I've just seen plenty of you have teams worth 107mil + where mine is only at 102mil. Normally I have been buying last minute to avoid any last minute injuries.

depends on the game week, normally I make my transfers Saturday night before the price rise unless internationals are mid week then ill wait to see who gets injured. My team is worth 107.2 if it helps

Yes. I make mine straight away..in fact, sometimes even before the games have finished. Risky but so far so good. Team is worth 109.5.

So I took a hit last week to do

Drenthe/Jones/VDV - Bale/Nani/Samlling, didnt go well, but we shall see!

    Team now:

    Vorm
    Baines.Simspon,Smalling
    Nani,Silva,Bale,Moses
    RVP,Sturridge,Ade

    Ruddy,Brown,Dyer,Gabbidon

Thinking do nothing and then after tonight do

    Dyer/Gabiddon - Shelvey/Caulker?

    Make sense?

Hope you're all bearing up under Christmas pressure!

personally I think Nani for VDV is a good move for the next three weeks until the spurs double game, but Jones will get more points than smalling (assist/goal threat) and Drenthe is a class act and Bale may not play

      Sorry bud, just my thoughts

I binned both Bale and Ade this weekend for Rooney and Drenthe until the double games.

All fair point mate, but i made those changes last week as I said. One reason was I thought Bale would play all the games and VDV not, also Drenthe mysteriously vanished nad I figured he out! Ah well, think Ill hold tight this week..I like Shelvey and Caulker in as an option.....any opinions?

    Worth an 8-point hit for:

    Welbeck > Rooney
    Given > Ruddy
    Walters > Shelvey

Would leave my team looking like this

    Vorm (Ruddy)

Jones Enrique Simpson (Taylor De Laet)

    Nani Bale Silva Shelvey (Dyer)

    RVP Sturridge Rooney

Any thoughts, I'm worried about Rooney going wild and others in my mini league have him

    Cheers

Risky, depends where you are in respect to others in your mini-league.

If you're trying to catch up, potential differential with the Yak may work...but RVP in his form against a bad form Villa may come back to haunt you.

I used my wildcard two weeks ago, this is my team as it stands:
    Krul
Jose Enrique - Jones - Richards
    Silva - Drenthe - Bale - Mata
    Sturridge - Rooney - Ba
Subs: Vorm, Taylor, R. Taylor, Pilkington

    Any suggestions for GW17 + 18

Considering swapping Mata for Arteta with a 4 point loss

Team looks good! Not a fan of Pilkington on your bench, though. I also think playing four back this gameweek is safer than 4 in front - a lot of good teams with easy fixtures at home.

      Personally I'd go with:

      Krul
Jones - Richards - R. Taylor (given he starts) - Enrique
Silva - Bale - Mata (Drenthe first sub)
      Sturridge Rooney Ba

Now, that looks killer to me. Would wait with Everton players this round, Swansea have proven themselves times and times again and I think you're better off with a newcastle defender.
