After last night’s double dose of Premier League action, Wednesday brings us no fewer than seven games to enjoy. The Dugout Discussion is open for business and is the perfect place to follow all the action as it unfolds…

The race for Christmas number one will be decided tonight, with league leaders Manchester City just needing a point at home to Stoke City to maintain their position at the top over the festive period. Any slip-up and city rivals Manchester United will be looking to pounce, as they visit the capital to face Fulham.

Setting their sights slightly lower are Champions League spot contenders Arsenal and Liverpool, who are both on the road tonight. The Gunners visit Villa Park and The Reds travel to the DW Stadium.

Elsewhere, the other team in Merseyside host Swansea at Goodison Park, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Roy Hodgson’s West Brom, and Sunderland make the long trip down to Loftus Road to play QPR.

      Why take Brown out now mate? Sunderland are gradually defending better with MON and will be better at home too.

      A probably, although I'd actually suggest a hit to take out Wilko for someone who plays, or Ramsey for Larsson/Walters if you can afford it. Got to have as full a squad as possible now.

    (repost) Does drenthe really have a shot of bps? There is osman, then the whole back four who could steal bps for CS. Im convincing myself that he will but Studge picked up two assists and got nothing vs city.

      Yeah sounds like assists are lowly rated in themselves, it's more the passing and dribbles that go into making them that get PPI points, not the assists themselves.

      Quite likely Drenthe gets 0Bp.

    Nani would be the easier transfer and would allow me to get Jevans and Verminator in my team.

    Five City players completed over 100 passes tonight: Yaya Toure (200), Nasri (165), Barry (118), Kompany (109) and Silva (100).

    Yaya Toure passing: overall 200/219 (91%), own half 51/54 (94%), att half 107/115 (93%), final third 42/50 (98%).

    Find these stats very hard to believe, amazing if true

    I really need some quick advice
    jones+sinclair->bale + 3.9 in cash
    For 3.9, is there any defender except caulker you can think of? Is this move a good idea if it is caulker?

      You could wait, but let's be frank Jones is incredibly likely to come back for next GW. It would be Lazarus-like. I'd take your transfer with Caulker.

      see guys, i am short of funds. (there is no 3.8 defender i can think of). I personally prefer vdv to bale anyways but this move is a great oppurtunity.
      And i do not think jones is likely to be rushed back. At the very min, he misses the next 2-3 gw.
