An early Christmas present for 32 fantasy managers is news of their opponent going into the sixth round of the Paddy Power Cup V. Before that, let’s see how the fifth round panned out…

The full set of results can be viewed right here, and for Mark they don’t make for good reading. As Premier League clubs do in real life, he lost to Mighty Manchester. It was a nail-biter however, with just a single point the difference.

Three ties were closer still and had to be decided on overall rank, which saw jinswick, Dyslexia United and Declan progress at the expense of Dr_Heckle, freeeasybets and fitzuation respectively.

Top-seed Der-Hammer95 powered through 78 – 66 against s4petah, improving his rank to 219th in the world.

Onto the round six fixtures then, which will be played out over the upcoming Gameweek 18 which starts on Boxing Day…

      You've got the most expensive defence I've seen - you could definitely afford to drop one of them in order to improve your team in other areas.

      Though there's nothing wrong with having Morison, he's a perfectly good third striker and consistent as anybody.

          Your mids are fine for this week. Leave them alone. You have one too many expensive defenders imo. Either Baines or Richards out and use the money to upgrade a mid or Morison next week. Morison is good value though and you should be trying to play your third forward as much as you can.

    Lawro's predictions on bbc always sh*t me - he never takes a punt on a team to score more than 3 and his explanation is more about the manager/ owner than the players.

          There's a chance that united score 4 and Nani end up with only an assist or so ..whereas if Arsenal score 4 ,RVP will end up with something like a brace and an assist... So its a No brainer for me..RVP all the way

            I agree with that, but I'd say MUN are in far better form and are more likely to wallop Wigan than Arsenal are to wallop Wolves. I fancy 2-0 to Arsenal and 4-0 to MUN.

              I don't think so ...wigan conceded just one goal against chelsea and L'pool combined .. They're in good defensive form than wolves I'd say.. Wolves are terrible at the back,,so no way its gonna end up 2-0 ,,even in a 2-0 win ,there's a big chance that both the goals will be scored by RVP

    Obvious move is to ship Baines to free up cash. Would you's look to spread it this gw or roll the transfer over again?

        Cheers UDIT. Can't justify changing any of the front players yet even although there is some nice options. Would like to keep Baines but he is my only cash cow. Been lucky with the rank. Captain picks have been kind to me enabling me to carry Nani etc through his bad run of form
