As the official Fantasy Premier League version begun this week with over two million hopefuls, our very own Paddy Power Cup V was down the last 32. With no virtual coin toss nonsense to worry about here, let’s see how it panned out…

Top-score this week went to Mr Bungle, who battered Chris H 67 – 35. That was the widest margin of victory for the round by quite some distance.

In doubling his opponent’s score was, Declan came closest to that 32-point gulf, as he bossed lowest-scoring jinswick 44 – 22.

For the first time this season there wasn’t a single draw, with runty‘s 50 – 49 triumph over GreenWindmill the tightest affair.

Der-Hammer95 continued his fine form to reach the last 16 as the highest ranked fantasy manager in the tournament. His 54 – 38 drubbing of Peadarb was enough for another green arrow and 181st in the world.

The fixtures for the seventh round – taking place in Gameweek 19 – will be announced in due course, along with important Quarter-Final news.

Congratulations to this week’s winners, and commiserations to those leaving the competition at this stage.

Just say I have a Betfair account..

I've backed RVP top goal scorer at 10/1 pre-season, can i SELL that bet for about £7 give or take now?

What are you trying to say? You got 10/1 for the bet. You only bet 10 pounds? You can lay it for 2.70.

You can guarantee a win. It's likely betting on 0-0 at 10-1 & having the option to bet on a goal in the 2nd half at 2.70.

Sorry, but this makes no sense....

Say you bet 1 pound @ 10/1 (11.0 on betfair) pre season, you can now hedge off some/all of your bet at 2.7.

For e.g. you could lay 6.47 pounds at 2.7, then if RVP is top scorer your payout would be:

11 pounds back on the pre season bet, but lose 11 pounds on the 2nd bet.

If RVP isn't top scorer you would

lose 1 pound on the pre season bet, but win 6.47 pounds on the 2nd bet.

Gotcha cheers. Was just wondering whether there was an option to trade bets between punters, so one punter could sell the bet for a lesser profit but still a profit, while another punter could buy the bet and get better odds than what the bookies were currently offering.

Given how much he's probably insured for, I'd imagine there's little if any risk. A good publicity spiel imo "Yeah, like we tell them we're like just doin this little fall onto like a pillow, but hey yeah but we're really like fallin from a skyscraper on nothin but a hope, a prayer & $400million". Jeez I hate this time of year. So much to worry about regarding rotation.

Been on here on and off for quite a few hours today and have heard people casting doubts over the following players that I own playing this GW:

    RVP
    Silva
    Shotton
    Jones
    Ba
    Sturridge
    Walters
    Drenthe
    Nani
    Naylor

Could end up with a team of

    Vorm
    Enrique Simpson
    Bale

I reckon Henry is an anti-climax waiting to happen.

Not seen him play for a while but people are remembering the glory days of when he played for Arsenal and while I'm sure he's still good he's not going to be anywhere near that good.

I can't see him getting minutes either, surely he's just cover for when RVP needs a rest so they don't have to play their donkey.

I wouldn't go near Henry unless RVP got injured, even if he was only £7.5m

He'll barely ever play 60+ and it uses up a valuable striker slot.

Because i think that BAE / Bale / Ade / Sturridge will score highly over the next 2 weeks, then once everyone recieves a free wildcard those players will be transfered in heavily. This will give me both big points and hopefully a boost in value.

    a) JEvans -> Shotton
    b) Save the transfer and hope at least one of JEvans or Wilko starts
    c) JEvans & Silva -> BAE & Bale (4 point hit)

      Hi Jinswick

Commented on your previous post on page 8, I agreed with The Gaffer82 at the time, wouldn't get rid of Silva (season keeper for me), but Bale and BAE are good replacements, I'll go c).

Ramsey also needs to go as you have RVP and Vermaelen.

Yeah, more of a threat going forward, bigger potential, oop

So, who thinks RVP will start on the bench? Really doing my head out this captaincy choice, with Nani also being overloaded with gametime as of late...

I think he will start. Wenger knows that they need him in order to get results and the added pressure of the record in front of their home fans should see him start. However, there is enough doubt to suggest he wouldn't be the safest/best captaincy option this week

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too. Of all we know Nani may get rested aswell given the fact that Young started last game on the bench, or?

I think he'll start after Aresenal dropped points at the weekend. Wenger nows they need to keep up with the top 4 and they really struggle to score without RVP.

Question: How is Bale any more rotation proof than Silver?

One has been rested twice and one hasn't been rested at all.

So does that mean Bale will never be rested or does it make him more likely to get a rest?

Means Bale will never be rested. Silva will be rested the odd time when games are packed closely together eg. this week when they play Sunderland 2 days before Liverpool.

    Vorm (Hennessey)
    BAE, Jones, Huth
    Mata, Nani(vc), Bale, Etherington
    RVP (c), Ade, Studge

    Enrique, Surman, Jags

Dont know who to captain or vc. I keep switching it between Nani and RVP altho Mata could be a viable option also i feel.
Cant decide my subs order either. Should i play Surman before Enrique as im pretty sure Pool wont get the sheet?

    Any help/advice/opinions appreciated.

I wouldn't captain Mata, Chelsea dont look threatening atm compared to the other top teams. I'm also torn between RVP and Nani...

Yeh that was why Mata was in my initial thinking but then i checked his points at home and he usually does do quite well at the Bridge. Not sure if that is enough to sway me tho.

    Vorm/Ruddy

    Enrique Jones Evans Vermalen Walker

    Bale Drenthe Valencia Silva Benarfa

    Ba RVP Adebayor

not sure who to bench this week and/or what to do transfer wise...

    1) do i need to get rid of Ba yet?
    2) 0.1 off Ba>sturridge, should i bother taking a hit?
    3) what should i do regarding the old evans and jones fiasco
    4) who to bench?

0 in the bank and 1FT, any good suggestions?

Nani captain, Huth vice. RVP sitting there, ready to be replaced by Cabaye when he's rested.

    Easy.
