Welcome to a brand new year at Fantasy Football Scout. Hope you all have a happy one.

Now you’ve disposed of your empty cans and pizzas boxes into a black bag, you can settle into your lazyboy and spend the afternoon shouting at your TV screen. We have two games: West Brom entertain Everton and Sunderland welcome Man City to the Stadium of Light.

The teams are in for the opening game, with the main talking point, the omission of Royston Drenthe. It seems there’s not even a place for him on the bench, with Jack Rodwell returning to the Everton lineup.

WBA: Foster; Jones, McAuley, Dawson, Shorey; Thomas, Scharner, Morrison, Brunt; Long, Odemwingie.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Neville, Rodwell, Osman, Cahill, Saha.

      hibbert looks favourite with that assist compared to a yellow for baines. heitinga and distin also outperform baines quite noticeably defensively. plus you have anichebe and his goal, aerial duels and no shots off target. baines might sneak one courtesy of his crosses
