It seems like only yesterday. In truth, it almost was. Another Matchday Surgery chatroom opens up to collect our desperate cries for help and a smattering of smugness, ahead of yet another gameweek deadline…

The double gameweek creates new puzzles of course. Hopefully we’ve helped to unravel some of the dilemmas via our usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles. The Scout Picks are also up and available, while the Captain Poll is now concluded with Tottenham’s assets reigning supreme. Aside from all this, we’ve worked tirelessly to collect all the team news and collate that for you in the Team News section. Go figure.

Plenty to ponder then. Plenty to question and discuss in the Matchday Surgery prior to 11.30.

    With a rank inside top 1k, should I gamble on VDV (c) or play 'safe' and go with Bale? I haven't got Ade as my other spurs player is Walker. Currently on VDV (c) and think there is an opportunity for a slight differential, but on the flipside I don't want to lose ground. Arggggghhh decision, decisions!

      I'd (C) Bale regardless of rank (Im in the top 1k too)

      VDV is much more likely to pull up injured and miss the 2nd game. Bale is more nailed on to start both and finish both and do just as well.

      I think the biggest gamble you've made is not having Ade full stop. I would go Bale in your position.

      Well if you think that he is gonna perform against Bol, brace or something captain him. Its a risk to expect from the second game. If you are feeling confident to captain him only for the Bol game do it. It could be a massive call, The Eve game it is just a bonus

      I have the same dilemma myself, but considering Hibbert as well. I am still not sure about the Brown situation though, what's the latest news? And will Clark play today as well? He played two days ago, and since McLeish has plenty of options to rotate that central midfield position, I would think Clark could be rotated...

      bell will get a run of games, qprs fixtures are looking good although macheda has just signed on loan and rodwell for the dgw.

      thats alot of transfers and a bit of a gamble. dunno what youve got now but it may not be worth the punt.

    some people are going over the top with these dgw theres only 2 teams that have them and they play against each other.

    right now I have only Ade, Bale and BAE but I've had them for ages, unless people want to add VDV add him in for BAE.

    there's no point in transfering Everton players in

    dgw dont always work out how people want them to, etc Spurs/Ever both concede in both games dfenders end up with 4 pts or less same goes with midfield.
