It seems like only yesterday. In truth, it almost was. Another Matchday Surgery chatroom opens up to collect our desperate cries for help and a smattering of smugness, ahead of yet another gameweek deadline…

The double gameweek creates new puzzles of course. Hopefully we’ve helped to unravel some of the dilemmas via our usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles. The Scout Picks are also up and available, while the Captain Poll is now concluded with Tottenham’s assets reigning supreme. Aside from all this, we’ve worked tirelessly to collect all the team news and collate that for you in the Team News section. Go figure.

Plenty to ponder then. Plenty to question and discuss in the Matchday Surgery prior to 11.30.

        I heard westwood got out last match at the last minute.. and that if fit hes preferred over mignolet..

        Anyway vorm will come in if he doesnt play.. so i guess im ok there..

        And drenthe I have no clue about.. hoping he pops in with a goal/assist even if its a 20 min cameo.

      Definitely Ba. He'll be off to Africa soon after anyway.Whereas you will probably want to keep Sturridge long term.

    I'm thinking Silva. Tough game tomorrow, and so little rest time, also as they have some tough cup games against Utd, and Liverpool in Jan so he may be rested in future GW.

    I already have Ade, and Bale by the way

    I am thinking of bringing in either SAMBA or HIBBERT for Evans?

    But now sturridge is a doubt I'm thinking of him out for yakubu?

      No. Would rather wait until last possible GW as some interesting players could arrive. Also, think unless your team is a mess what is the rush.

        One possible reason to rush is you could see alot of price rises happening in during the two week the WC is open for. That you will lose out on if you dont WC.

          Not too fussed about that bbecause they have to rise twice in order for you to make a profit unless you really want to keep the player.

          You can make as many changes as you want in the GW that the wildcard is activated.

          so you can get players early on that will rise in price and then just before the deadline gets players who you really want in your team. (will some overlap)

            Yup. Old ploy works best if you wait till just after the games have been played and jump on the big scorers of the week to get that 0.2 rise.
