League leaders Manchester City travel to the DW Stadium tonight, looking to put breathing space between themselves and their city rivals. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens in anticipation of the conclusion of Gameweek 21.

Both team sheets have been handed in, and here is how they line-up on this horribly cold Monday night…

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, McArthur, McCarthy, Gomez, Crusat, Rodallega, Moses.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Savic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko.

Roberto Martinez continues with Albert Crusat, who manages to shake off a slight back injury to start tonight. James McArthur begins for only the third time in the league this season, replacing Mohamed Diame who is unavailable thanks to the African Cup of Nations.

Manchester City are forced to partner Jolean Lescott and Stefan Savic at centre-back once more, despite a very ropey performance in their defeat to United last weekend. Elsewhere, David Silva is restored to the starting line-up, Sergio Aguero partners Edin Dzeko up front, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces Micah Richards.

Follow all the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Can I use my 1 free transfer today (to get a player before price rise) then use the WC later in the week?

Votes please guys - best 2 week punt out of the below? Reasons would be great also...

    c) Mata & Helgusson

sessengon and torres if possible as sess is in form and nice fixtures, whilst torres is looking ok and could be a big gamble. high risk, high reward

Probably B mate. I think McLean takes one of the corners and is in the box for the other. Torres looked good. Im punting on him myself for one week. I will probably give him the armband.

Anyone surprised on how high the FPL avg. is this GW? 46 before BAP’s from todays match!
Not one person broke 100. Further not one of the“BIG HITTERS" (with high ownership) with a massive week

City - Silva, Aguero - 1 assist. No Richards or Komp for CS
United - Nani, Roo, Valencia 2 assists (Fraud) and a missed PK No Jones CS no bonus
Tott- No CS. Bale, VDV,Ade 1 assist no bonus
Che - Sturrdge & Mata 2 pts between them
    New - No Ba
    YAK - Sent off - minus 2
Ars - RVP 1 goal no bonus
Swa - No CS for Vorm
    Sto - Walters nothing
    Sun - Sess nothing

Raylor & Enrique are the only ones who came good in their position.

    Very Strange!

        But few captained them.

        If you owned the

        Top 3 forwards in ownership
        Top 5 Mids
        Top 4 Def
        Top GK

The score is only 62 and that is with the score of 13 players.

Even in DGW the average was 54. (still bonus to play in this GW)

Like f*cking seriously. I just dont understand how lucky some tool can be. the guy on top of my league benched dyer as second sub last week. Larsson didnt play and he got all the points from dyer.

He benched him again this week. Sturridge didnt play so he got all the points again.

meanwhile Ricahards who i transferred in doesnt play. and the Yak gets -2. Roon Penalty miss and valencia should have at least had two assists.

    f**k this bullshit.

I get sick of someone who doesnt understand the game, the betting odds, bet increments, etc, still beating me in hands 40% of the time. you can make all the right moves and still hit a wall. well this game seems to offer the same benefits.

I lost mine due to this as well.

Thought there were 2 possible explanations behind this:
      1) The reviewers had Rooney and the decision to stick with the assists was easier than a coin toss for them.
      2) Rukawa & his 4321 mails.

He may be a risk when Tiote and Ba return perhaps causing a re shuffle, along with HBA 'pushing towards a starting spot' according to Pardew, I was just thinking that with 6 CS's in the last 7 games I'd wanna have some City defense rather than the odd attacking point from Raylor (as Santon/Williamson/Simpson will be getting the clean sheets that Taylor gets)

Worth keeping the ManU attacking trio of Nani, Valencia and Rooney for this week? I know, not ideal, but a punt I thought worth taking last GW that didn't quite pay off

    Krul Vorm
    Enrique Richards Simpson Senderos Caulker
    Nani Valencia Bale BenArfa McLean
    RVP Rooney Yakubu

    Currently 2.4m in spare change

Nani > Silva or Mata or Sessegnon
Yakubu > Sturridge or Bent or Torres

Should I play Santon and Senderos against each other? Or take a punt on BAE or Evans pulling an unlikely clean sheet?

I'm in the same boat and will go with Santon and Senderos ... i can see the game being a 0-0 draw (think they drew last year a couple of times). Only downside is if you have Cabaye, BA or Dempsey you'll be punting for a goal-spree. Highly unlikely that Evans or bAE will get more than 2 points a piece.

Anyone reckon Chelsea might sell Torres come the end of the season if he keeps playing this way? Looking back at 10/11 season with Liverpool, he still scored a good number of goals even though he wasnt on form.. Would love to have seen him play with Suarez and Gerrard. I've a feeling they wont sell him, but as a Liverpool fan id be more than happy seeing him come back.

Sorry for the delay Elnino, but I wanted to respond:

I honestly think Evans is nailed on. Sir Alex doesnt even want Rio playing that much, even if smalling and jones regain their places.

I actually STILL think Lindegaard is a risk for the same reason. Manager keeps saying that De Gea is still in the picture. Of the cheap ways into the united defense, I like Evans much more.

I like Schwarzer because he rotates best with Vorm. I am fine with playing Vorm for the next 3 weeks until Schwarzer returns. When he returns, he will start, for sure.

I don't like not owning a United playing either but here's the thing: they're fixtures are really, really bad. The other problem is that goals and assists are now coming from anywhere, and they are getting very hard to predict. It's hard to justify owning one of them offensively right now.

City aren't attacking as much? They just slaughtered Liverpool, the leagues best defense, 3-0. Amazing fixtures to come, as well. I feel bad for anyone without Aguero and silva the next 7 weeks.

surely you were joking about Torres. No way any smart manager can put him in their team.

    I am

Well hopefully I'm wrong about Evans. But United fans certainly don't think so. They reckon it will Rafael/Smalling - Jones/Smalling - Rio - Evra most games & Evans will fill in for injuries like in the past.

What makes you think Linde Gas is a risk? He's started 5 in the last 6 (incl FA Cup vs City) and the one which he didn't, they lost to BLA at OT. Maybe De Gea's for the long-term but I can't see how he can make a case for himself with Linde Gas's record.

Fair enough. United are unpredictable at the moment - but they really hit hard at this time of the year.

Yeah, well City are doing alright offensively in tougher fixtures like Liv & Utd but are taking it easy it in the easier ones. They look really tired yesterday too & could manage only a goal vs wigan. Also if they beat liv at anfield in the CC, you have the gw26 match removed. Just my 2 cents, though. I'd rather have 2 City defenders than 2 City attackers at the moment.

While aguero hasnt been explosive, his consistency surely can't be overlooked heading into amazing fixtures, right? I still Silva's returns speak for themselves (although you are clearly a member of the group who got rid) I find it interesting that you think Nani is must have and Silva is not.

Wait, if City win at anfield for carling cup, they will not play at all week 26? Is that really true?

United fans really think Smalling will win out over Evans centrally? I haven't heard this at all. In fact, it seems when both are healthy, that Evans is usually preferred.

I need to give more thought to Lindegaard then. Lind/Vorm makes so much sense if that ends up being true.

I just think United's fixtures are so very bad these next six weeks. That along with very sporadic form and losing games they should win makes me very nervous about offensive investment.

Re GW26, yeah if they go through to the final it's true, however I'll be keeping Richards, Silva and Aguero and benching them that game, because I'd get them back in later for a DGW with Blackburn and whoever else they are up against when it's re scheduled.

At the moment I'm staying away from Evans and Lindegaard, the main reason being that I only really see them keeping 1, maybe 2 clean sheets over the next 6 weeks.
I've gone for Valencia at the moment, he's on fire and when you look at the fixtures, they don't seem that tough in an attacking sense, considering United can turn it on against anyone. At the moment I feel Valencia is a better option then Dempsey, as Fulham are so inconsistent and Tony V's on fire, but could easily change soon.

Vermaelen ... even when fit, is till playing in a fragile Arsenal defence, would downgrade him and upgrade Clichy to Kompany. And Torres ... only my opinion .. but there are much safer options. Otherwise looks great, Sess & Walters rotate really well for the next 8 GWs.
