Alan Pardew has confirmed that Senegalese pair Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse will miss out on Newcastle’s trip to Blackburn tomorrow evening. The Magpies boss expects the duo to arrive back at the club on Thursday now, with both likely to line up against Villa on Sunday instead.

Anders Lindegaard is a doubt for Manchester United; under fire David De Gea could be set to continue between the sticks. Paul Lambert could welcome back a couple of long-term injury absentees, while Sunderland’s on-loan signing Wayne Bridge is available for the Canaries showdown.

John Terry, Frank Lampard, Mikel and Ramires are all absent for Chelsea. Marc Albrighton and James Collins have been ruled out for Villa, though Charles N’Zogbia returns from a heel problem. Elsewhere, a host of clubs could welcome new players into the fold as the transfer window draws closer.

    It's not fine. A Johnson cannot fill Zamora's shoes. Bobby's a target man type of player who holds up ball so that his team mates can make forward runs. I'm very concerned about Dempsey's FPL prospect now.

Hi all. Sorry if this has been covered before.
Why are the scouts so certain of Stockdale starting ahead of Schwarzer?
No Fulham press conference until tomoro (I think).
Schwarzer tweeted 8 or 9 days ago that he was back in training and jumping around his goalmouth (which is good considering he had a neck/back injury).
Jol has stated only recently how much he rates him and that he will go straight back in.

Have I missed something? Has there been a set back?
