After a frenetic Deadline Day Tuesday that saw an abundance of big-name moves, such as Nikica Jelavic to Everton (massive), the Dugout Discussion returns to complete Gameweek 23. We’ve got five more Premier League fixtures to pour over tonight, but with most of the big-hitters on show yesterday, fantasy points may be a little thin on the ground.

We start at Villa Park with a slightly earlier kick-off, where Alex McCleish’s side play host Mark Hughes’ Queens Park Rangers. The other four games get under way on the hour, including the televised game at the Stadium of Light between Sunderland and Norwich City (definitely worth watching ahead of Valencia Vs. Barcelona).

There’s also Blackburn Rovers versus Newcastle United, Arsenal travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers, and a Bobby Zamora-less Fulham welcome the visit of Roy Hodgson’s West Bromich Albion.

Follow all the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which will remain open until all the dust has settled from what has already been an eventful Gameweek 23.

    BPs for :
    Vorm
    Enrique
    BAE
    Sess
    Demps
    Bale
    Sinclair
    RVP

Gutted with captaining RVP, losing ground in mini league again!

Thoughts on Walters. I am on my WC. Am I losing patience but looking at his fixtures they look great until GW28. Keep or Bin? (his SP = 6.3)

No point binning him now when the fixtures are looking good for him. Stick with him and ride it out until the fixtures get bad. It should pay off well for you.

Great fixtures, but seems to be playing on the wing and that he got subbed yesterday wasn't very convincing. Who knows, he might have been taken off pens as well. I got rid with my WC this week, though it was due to a late panic re-shuffle when I found out Welbeck wasn't playing. Hoping he does nada now, obviously 😛

Keep for now - ditch when fixtures turn bad. Pretty useless away from home. If you discover he's off pens at any point, ditch immediately.

    STRIKER ADVICE NEEDED

    Vorm, Krul
    Simpson, Rangel, Walker, Komps, Bardsley
    Silva, Sess, SPetrov, Bale, Demps
RVP, Helguson (5.2), Zamora (6.6) (sell value)
    Bank: 0.6

With Cisse and Zamora up top for QPR Helgusons days are over. Zamoras switch from Fulham makes him less of a threat (although QPR is a 3-3 team and Fulham more like 0-0) in my book. I’ve got 1 FT and guess I should transfer Helguson first. Who do I get?

Make 2 transfers and find a way to get Ba in, not enough fire power up front.

Get rid of petrov for a bench warmer to make funds

I brought in Petrov on a hunch he would bring good points. I guess he is an expensive bargain. Good point, but I should stop taking 4 pt hits.

I really gotta stop payin for transfers too but Ba is an investment for the long haul and i think that helguson and petrov are taking up 2 position thats could offer bigger points if you replaced them with a big hitter and a benchwarmer (ie. ferguson)

Thinking of WCing to the following but defence is weak, not a JE or BAE to be found. Perhaps I would be better to keep McClean on rotation and get Ba in instead of Cisse? After all, can't play Cisse and the fab 5 in midfield... I've just wanted Sess in for ages and he is obiously a better threat than McClean.
