It has emerged that Frank Lampard could be fit to face Manchester United on Monday following a calf injury; the midfielder faces a late fitness battle this weekend. John Terry is out though, joining the suspended Ashley Cole on the sidelines. Their counterparts could welcome back Wayne Rooney, Nani, Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley.

Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse trained for Newcastle today, signalling their availability for the game with Aston Villa. Fraizer Campbell could be rested by Martin O’Neill for Sunderland’s trip to Stoke. Steven Gerrard and Jamie O’Hara are back in the squads for Liverpool and Wolves, respectively.

As always, our Team News section continues to be updated as the weekend games draw closer. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed brings all the latest reports direct from the official sites and top sources.

Going to be a coin toss at Landsdowne road, probably be match of the w/e for entertaining rugby.

It'll be a close match in Edinburgh tomorrow too, none of the flair of the Ireland Wales match but a lot of tension. I'll be freezing my arse of in the Murrayfield stands, fingernails down to the quicks no doubt. CANNOT WAIT

We are world class at throwing guilt-edged chances away though. We never really get overwhelmed by any team nowadays (bar NZ!!), but always seem to just fall short - take our two losses in the WC- that makes losing all the more agonising. It will always be the case until we can score tries. Here's hoping that all changes tomorrow under the Murrayfield ligths

That's a very good point. I made a mistake in bringing in Silva last week instead of Dempsey. **** knows why, i didn't have as much time to work out my transfers.

You're right on there being no worthy punts either, all the ones that are maybe worth it are lower valued players like Moses, Barton etc.

I got him in before the hat-trick and subsequent rise, won't be able to afford to put him back in if I take him out seeing as my wildcard teams leaving me with nothing in the bank.

Agree with Jkisthe1, it's not the best gameweek anyway. Besides I wouldn't be surprised if he got himself a goal, City have looked shaky recently and he should be playing further forward.

I'm on my WC and although I'm probably benching him for McClean, I'm feeling a 1 week punt on Oxlade-Chamberlain (bench him gw25) and then switch him for Walters/Etherington for the 2 Stoke home games.

    GW24 Team:

    Vorm
    Kompany – BAE – Williamson
    Silva – Bale – Sess – McClean
    Aguero (VC) – RVP (C) – Fletcher

    (Mignolet / Huth, Dempsey, Kelly)

    - Play BAE or Huth? I am sure Sunderland will score so no CL for Huth, any chances he may score? BAE for an assist?

    - Play McClean or Dempsey? Dempsey is due a blank and this game might be it. I’m not liking the idea of doubling up Sess & McClean….

    - Play Huth & BAE and leave Dempsey & McClean on the bench?

    What do you reckon…

I am not only looking at home games to rotate but opposition in general. The only problem gameweeks until the end of the season are GW31, GW37 & GW38. Wigan are shit, sorry but it's true and Sunderland are playing great defense and offense. In that price range I think Mignolet is the best option.

None really, but depends what your other options are.

Villa have Bent hitting form, Spurs score, Wolves usually score away, Sunderland have great goal threat under MON, Arsenal have RVP, Norwich are always good for a goal and so are west Brom.

That said ill probably play Simpson for most of his home fixtures

J Evans – BAE – Richards (Simpson, Taylor)
Valencia – Sess – Silva – Bale (Pilkington)
    Ba – RVP (c) – Zamora

Just brought in Ba over Aguero... with agueros lack of returns for the big money hes worth, im hoping for a nice Ba return... Villa always get scored against, so good chance?

Really? I think hes been playing well, been doing everything but putting the ball in the back of the net, really unlucky not to have scored. If hes going to come good, its over these coming fixtures and if he does there are going to be some big point hauls. Not to say Demba could match him, I have both.

    Wayne Hennessey looks damn tempting.

Ok I know he won't get many cs, but look at his save count. He conceded 3 on Tuesday and still got 4 points, Vorm conceded 1 and only got 3.

I see that Ba is on the team-sheet in the team news!
Should I do a captain punt and captain him instead of RVP? 😛

Yeah me too, but with Blackburns defense form... If RVP doesnt get rested, I see this being his Week.

With the chance of a rested RVP, i will cap RVP and VC Ba

Hi guys, I have one free transfer and cash in the bank, shall I do:

    A: Fletch to Ba
    B: Walters to Silva
    C: Enrique to Taiwo

(I can do A or B in isolation, but to do both, I need to do C for a 8 point hit)
