Apologies for the short post – my recent arrival has, understandably I hope, left me stretched for time to procrastinate. Besides, all there really is to say is that our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to cover today’s games.

It all starts at Old Trafford, with the humdinging clash between rivals United and Liverpool. Tasty.

Share your views as the day’s actions unfolds right here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Torres at Chelsea is a flop, he's still the fastest Liverpool player to 50 goals, and used to be one of the best in the world.

These days he couldn't hit a barn with a football, even from inside

A certain number of people need to transfer a player in for their value to rise 0.1. 4 times that number have transferred in Demba.

Sadly it doesn't quite work like that. After the first 0.1 it needs more for the second 0.1... Diminishing returns. He might rise 0.2, but I don't really understand the intricacies...

Can people stop writing the word “fail” for everything/anything that does not go according to plan?
It leaves me with an enormous level of doubt as to how bad the situation is.
My confusion is then further exacerbated by the use of the term “epic fail”.
Now, considering I do not know how dire a situation is when “fail” is used for everything how can I contemplate how bad an “epic fail” is?
What happened to the use of easily understood phrases like very poor, poor, average, good, very good and excellent?
This shows a person’s satisfaction or non-satisfaction much more precisely and to a much clearer degree.
    Thank you.

Speaking as a Chelsea fan, I'm extremely anxious about it. Drogba back will help, but it will be tight. Conceivably AVB goes after this, and if we get Hiddink back in I think we'll be alright, but that's just papering over the real problem of our aging squad.

      Point 1- 3 Points isn't much of a gap.
Point 2- Playing Arsenal and you bought him to be the front 8 benchwarmer
Point 3- Swansea are very reliable at home and you caught them on an off day.

        - 3 points turn to 6 wen given the armband. 6 points is a big difference in a mini league.
        - originally brought him in as bench warmer but has proved to be most reliable mid in the league for last few weeks.
        - club from championship league has more experience to play against them, knowledge is power haha!

A front line of Rooney-Suarez/Yak-Graham would bring you bags of points this week 😉

But who has that and is playing seriously at this stage of the season

I don't know why he would sign a new contract. Could get a move to a big club no bother.

    McClean on the bench 🙁
It's so easy to bench due to his price and also as he was playing Aresnal, but it looks like a case were form won over the fixture

Stuart Pearce is my favourite footballer of all time, but no way in the world should he be next England manager.

I had Aguero last week as captain and was sick after RVP's windfall.
Have Aguero again so hopefully he does the business against Villa

Nearly benched McClean. Then nearly benched RVP (!) - which wouldn't have been a bad thing as it happens. In the end benched Zamora which also wasn't a bad thing. Just a shame I got rid of Graham a couple of weeks back.

And the decison (after very much deliberation) to (c) Bale hasn't come undone yet....
