Here we are again. The FA Cup shenanigans over, we can once more get down to business and take on another Gameweek deadline. As usual, our Matchday Surgery chatroom is now open to offer guidance, reassurance and a suitable platform for gloating.

We’ve found our groove once again. While a ravaged Gameweek 29 schedule has scuppered the regular “Frisking of the Fixtures”, we nonetheless delivered four Watchlist articles, with the likes of Yaya Toure, Demba Ba, Ali Al Habsi and Juan Mata coming under scrutiny. Our members articles dissected the theories surrounding the selection of David Silva and the aforementioned Toure, before analysing our Team statistics to monitor the teams in form going into the Gameweek. Chris Glover delivered another masterpiece as he analysied the Risk vs Reward conundrum, while the regular player selection articles – the Scout Picks and the Differentials are both in your armoury of facts and opinion. We even threw in another level of information this week, as Anorak took his microscopic eye to the referee records in “Men in Black”. The “Preamble” arrives shortly to round things off.

It’s over to you now – you press the buttons prior to 11.30, perhaps diving into the Surgery chatroom for one last hoorah.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

With Cabaye and Tiote both starting in midfield. Simpson and Santon not done anything to get dropped this weekend. It only leaves Raylor with a place on the wing, competing with Ben Arfa. What with Raylor coming back from injury, and Pardew "bigging up" Ben Arfa, i'd say its a coin toss for who will start between the both of them today.

Pardew says in the article that HBA etc will feature although he will pick his best team. Does that imply HBA will feature from the bench, say if they're having trouble unlocking the defence? Bloody managers and their cryptic comments.

Raylor will start imo. The way he talks about Ben Arfa in that article suggest impact sub if we're not winning after 60/70. Remember after the Spurs game, Pardew was talking about having 3 important midfielders back for Wolves (Cabaye, Tiote and Raylor)

That's a good point. It's enough to make me not risk buying him today in any case, & yeah that's true, Pardew has been bigging up Raylor as an important midfielder too.

        Arguable;
        Kompany 2 goals, 2 assists and 9 BP's in 1873 minutes.
        Lescott 2 goals, 1 assist and 8 BP's in 1876 minutes.
With Kolo back from ACN Lescott is now a rotation risk also.

Thats what I mean, if he had actually played it would be like playing with 10 men as he always struggles against us....maybe Morrati should start an investigation against Juve.

    1: sess > mcclean.
2: sigurdsson > moses + downgrade shawcross after next week.
    3: silva > yaya.
4: shawcross > 4.5 or less def in gw 29.
    5: ba > p.cisse (differential).
6: straight up rvp > rooney swap.

Senderos my only fit player on the bench (Valencia, Clark both out) and every team prediction says Dzeko will be on City's bench. Rooney still a doubt though I think he's sure to start.

A Taarabt inspired QPR are gonna stuff Fulham (!) so if Rooney or Dzeko doesn't play I can see Senderos bringing in 1 pt at most.

mcclean is prob the more likely to get attacking returns (assuming yaya continues in the holding role) but is in a side less likely to score.

Repost, sorry lost on foot of previous page.

Any chance I could get some feedback on my team please? Got two FT but zero in bank. I am considering downgrading BAE to a 4.1 million defender so I can do Valencia to Mata. Good idea? or just stick with Valencias and BAEs based on their fixtures getting better soon.

    Sorenson (Mignolet)
    Simpson Kompany Evans (BAE Kelly)
    Silva Bale Dempsey McClean (Valencia)
    RVP Aguero Ba

          yeah i'd keep BAE.

maybe simpson > santon to grab some $. completely sideways but you'll get a little cash and they're equally likely to get cleansheets/attacking returns imo.

    Sorensen
    Simpson / Evans J / Richards
    Bale / Walters / Sessegnon / Dempsey
    Ba (c) / Van Persie / Aguero

    Bench: Vorm / Taiwo / N Taylor / Valencia

Does my team look ok, kind of want to swap Valencia for YaYa but not sure who I would drop from the first 11. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

i'd be more concerned about walters than i would be about valencia. i'd be tempted on a walters > moses punt given their fixtures.

if you did valencia to yaya you could start him over walters. or you could transfer walters out for moses or siggy. with valencia though, he could be back next gw so might not make sense getting rid if you'd lose too much on him

btw why are you going ba over rooney?

I'm a Newcastle fan so just feel like backing Ba to get a few goals. Plus I need to make up ground up in my mini league where everyone has Aguero but I'm the only one with Ba.

ok that makes sense. but if everyone has aguero they will probably captain him so if you captained him to that woudl negate their captains and still give you ba as a differential wouldn't it?

Time to ditch Enrique (for Cahill) this week? Had from the start at 5.0

    Or hold, for DGW etc.?

Back five is Evans, Richards, Simpson, (Enrique, Kelly).

Not sure if I would start Cahill over those three this week, and don't really like playing 4-3-3
