This morning has seen a couple of fixtures, which were previously affected by FA Cup and Carling Cup schedules, afforded new dates that will have significant bearing on Fantasy managers’ thinking.

Following on from last night’s rescheduling of the Villa v Bolton match to Gameweek 29, Everton have this morning confirmed their Merseyside derby with Liverpool has been switched to Tuesday March 13.

The game was originally set to take place in Gameweek 26 but was cancelled due to Liverpool’s Carling Cup Final with Cardiff- it will now be played in Gameweek 28, affording both Merseyside clubs the opportunity of a double Gameweek.

Liverpool now have (sun, EVE) on the agenda, while David Moyes’ side face (TOT, liv). Tricky fixtures for both sides, no doubt, but Fantasy managers will be keen to get in on the action. With Sergio Aguero facing a trip to Swansea, his dire away form may see the Argentine shipped out for Luis Suarez as frontlines are re-adjusted on the back of this morning’s announcement. Liverpool’s fixtures look particularly enticing from Gameweek 30 onwards, and many Fantasy managers may bring forward their plans a little earlier than anticipated now.

The likes of Leighton Baines will no doubt find himself the subject of investment, too, with the Toffees current five-match unbeaten run indicative of an upturn in performance which has seen them defeat both City and Chelsea, while recording clean sheets in both games. It’s also worth noting that Steven Pienaar will be unavailable for the Spurs game, due to the conditions of his loan deal, leaving the South African with just the trip to Anfield as his only option.

The downside is that, at present, both sides still have a blank Gameweek 29; Liverpool’s trip to QPR and Everton’s home clash with Arsenal have yet to be granted a new date. The fixture list is quickly being settled, though. Blackburn have also announced this morning that their home game with Sunderland has been set for Tuesday March 20, which falls into Gameweek 29.

At present, then, there are now only three games yet to be afforded a new date for that particular gameweek, though this could increase to four if Chelsea win their FA Cup replay with Birmingham. It’s clear, however, that our previous worries over Gameweek 29 are now being resolved, allowing Fantasy managers the chance to plan in advance once again.

Think I'm going Holt myself actually, his fixtures look a tad better, and for longer. F**king Zamora, every year I say I'm not getting him and every year I get him... twice.

Zamora is annoying, i always seem to end up with him but he very rarely does anything for me, the phantom injuries worry me and also QPR are gash.

Holt is tempting but The Yak can be explosive, havent looked into it properly, just initial thoughts.

Ok, last one for today - GW28 WC team draft - comments appreciated.

    Schwarzer, Mignolet
    Skrtel, Enrique, JEvans, Caulker, Simpson
    Gerrard, Walcott, Valencia, Pilkington, Moses
    Rooney, RVP, Ba

    Bank 0.7m (to help fund Skrtel/Gerrard/Walcott/Ba -> Cheapie/Silva/Bale/Ade once TOT/MCY's fixtures improve around GW31ish)

Looking good, prefer it with Ba instead of Suarez.

Would still be tempted not to lose money on Bale rather than getting Walcott, but depends what you paid for Bale I guess?

I think I'm going to have Friedel instead of Schwarzer too and keep Kelly as Fulham def cover.

Been getting my 3rd striker postion spot on the last few weeks. 3 goals in 2 games from Graham, 1 goal in 1 game for Papiss. Thinking of sticking with Papiss or drafting in Pogrebnyak to continue this run.

Guys, just a question. A stupid one. Is there any effect of player prices going up or down if they are already in your team?
For example if i buy Ba at 7.8 and now he's 8.1 why don't i get 8.1? Can someone explain the whole jazz?

You get half the money on the difference (e.g. 0.3 of a 0.6 rise). It's round down if it's 0.7 for example (you'd receive 0.3 here as well).

Blackburn Sunderland in GW29 now gives me a full team. Might get a Liverpool defender in but I have a lot of sorting out to do, want to get rid of Zamora and Richards.

All in all I've got to be honest it's looking rather lemming like. Doesn't anyone remember the last Everton DGW when we (me included) piled into Everton players we would never normally get, and got owned? I mean for Pete's sake Howard was their top scorer or something scoring from a goalkick. Even the Spurs gambles didn't really impress and they were much more appealing.

Worryingly Liverpool and Everton share the same negatives that make them unsuitable for investment:
    - No one player to count on / captain
    - Low scoring
    - Points are shared out in attack
    - Points are shared out in midfield
    - Generally expensive defenders
    - ... who haven't generally delivered on attacking points

Skrtel at least has scored a bit and Pool defenders look ok for CS (can you count on Everton? You couldn't for most of the season) . Adam might manage an assist.

Other than that, that's about it.

Before you say Suarez... try watching him or looking at his record. I watched his blank against Cardiff and it summed up his season, flatter to deceive.

To be fair I thought last DGW went quite well.

      I had
      Bale 9pts (18pts capt)
      BAE 24pts
      Ade 4pts
      Howard 9pts

    Suarez v Ba

This is only really a debate IF the QPR v Liverpool game goes ahead in GW29 and I can't see why this won't go ahead.

Suarez would have - sun/EVE qpr WIG
Ba would have - ars NOR wba

Ba has a ridiculous scoring record Suarez is such a gifted player. Ba is first choice pen taker and on most FK. I think what I'm getting at here is if you want to play safe go for Ba if you want to risk
It go for Suarez (even if for a hit).

I know Suarez is hated in these parts by many and that may influence your opinion.

Im in on the risks too now. RVP has been ditched for Rooney and next week Aguero will be ditched for Suarez.

Trouble I have found with Norwich this season though is as soon as you get comfortable and start to assume someone if nailed on, that is exactly the time when Lambert decides to rotate them. Cases in point are Pilkington earlier in the season and more recently with Morison, but if you have cover/are happy to risk it he could be a great pick.

Am keeping an eye on Morrison myself, need a cheap midfielder to free funds for Rooney next week and he is probably my pick of the bunch at the moment. Next two fixtures are not great but decent after that. I also have McClean and I don't think you get good home/away rotation but West Brom have been better away from home until last week anyway so hopefully won't matter.

Yeah I can see the trend continuing for the remainder of the season amd I have a feeling that they may even see their home form dip. I don't think they'll do a Blackpool or anything, but I would beware in investing in them. I have Siggy and as a cheap 5th option in midfeild you can't go wrong. Just play him in the favourable home games.

I think this is my transfer plan -

      GW27 - Vorm - Schwazer
      GW28 - Tawio - Jevans
      GW28 - Cahill - GJohnson
      GW28 - Dzeko - Suarez
      GW29 - Dempsey - Walcott

obviously a 4 point hit in GW 28 but would only be my second hit of the season and could be worth it for the DGW. Current team linked.

Don't like the idea of Suarez even with a DGW, but then again, seems like one of the things a non-visitor to this site would benefit from....can easily see people moaning on here saying:

"So-and-so, you told me not to get Suarez!!!!! FUUUUUU!!!"

Then again, I wouldn't risk it personally....

Repost: Can do Richards->Skrtel and Ba->Suarez now, leaving me with 0.0. What do you think the chances of any of the Liverpool players to rise are? Also it would be for a 4 point hit. I want to wait till saturday, but i’m not sure if i will have sufficient funds.

Hold on to Richards and Ba this week, save your transfers, I don't think Skrtel or Suarez will be rising this week, so why bring them in when they play Arsenal too.

Neither Liverpool player should rise, so just save the transfer till next week and you A) get Richards at home to Bolton & Ba at home to Sunderland this week rather than Skrtel & Suarez home to Ars this week and B) you won't have to take a hit?
