Scruffy, sleepy and slightly milky, Mark returned to the podcast studio following the delivery of his bundle of joy. Still the “Daddy” in our mini-league, there’s still every chance that the sleep deprivation will get the better of him and he’ll give the armband to Victor Moses. I live in hope.

This week’s episode offers an early assessment of the double Gameweek wares, discusses the demise of the template squads, examines the latest transfer trends in “All Aboard” and, of course, offers our take on the weekend ahead.

week 28 boils down to this

A. Rooney Mata Kelly (no hit)
B. Aguero Valencia Enrique (4pt hit)
C. Rooney Valencia Enrique (8pt hit)

team clearly gets better as i take more hits.. but where to stop? currently thinking B. because

rooney and aguero = very comparable
mata and valencia = comparable again
enrique should outscore kelly.. maybe 1 cs for enrique nothing for kelly.. 2 vs 8 = 6 pts gained 4 pts lost = 2pts profit.

      IMO he's a good option, I wouldn't mind keeping him til end of season as good fixtures after the dgw right til the end. I don't usually spend more than 5 absolute max on a keeper, but I think he will return the goods. There are enough good cheaper midfielders to allow it I reckon.

  I would rule out A because Mata can be a real let down and at £9.7m he doesn't justify that price. Plus Kelly at Villa will be difficult to get a shut out.
  
  B & C are both good options but they depend on Valencia's fitness so you're gonna have to wait to see if he will even play before thinking about the changes. C over B though as Enrique's starting points of 4 for the DGW will soften the blow of an 8 point hit and Rooney will comfortably outscore Aguero imo.

I didn't finish this post before, sorry.

Liverpool certainly do have tasty fixtures coming up including a dgw. This season hasn’t been really exciting from any Liverpool attacker in particular maybe with the exception of Bellamy, who himself doesn’t get enough game time. In my personal opinion sticking to one Liverpool defender (as Agger is injured & Carra is finished) who preferably should be Glen Johnson (6.8). This is because he really is a bonus point magnet and has great assist potential with the likes of Carroll getting on the end of headers. Also, I feel that Skrtel is also a bargain but however due to Agger's injury with Carra's old legs, Skrtel might not push up as much therefore Glen Johnson is my prefferred defender of the two. Attacking wise, well I think Adam/Suarez might be worth a punt as Adam gets the assists, plays most weeks and Suarez creates many many chances so should bag a few especially the way his been playing lately, hitting the post, getting an assist etc.
