Hamstring injury forced him to miss the Wales match midweek. Ordinarily I'd be pretty cynical about players dodging friendlies but this was a Gary Speed tribute and I'd really like to think that Bale would have played if he could.

Keep an eye on the Bale situation and if he's confirmed out I'd make the transfer. Nani/Adam/Walcott are all being touted as decent replacements.

Had settled on no transfers, with 2 next week.
DGW plan set up, GW29 fixtures cleared, Vermaelen and RVP passed through their internationals seemingly fine - all was good.
Now Kelly's a doubt, Vermaelen's yellow flag was never removed despite him playing - now there is a reason, RVP and Bale are both doubts, got a crap reserve keeper in Lindegaard.
5 doubts and I still think I'll save the transfer, and I was benching Bale anyway 😉
It seems that the best weeks come after a bad lead up though, and the worst come when there is a false sense of security.

It is bad. There has been some talk in the Dutch press recently that the Netherlands should be awarded the 1978 world cup because of the Argentina - Peru fix.

Right, I'm stuck between Kuyt and Adam. Dont like either particularly but with Valencia and [probably] Bale out I need to replace one of them. Thinking of Bale to Kuyt or Adam. Would prefer Kuyt, however he doesnt seem secure of starts. I've not watched Liverpool much this season, I understand Henderson has been poor, is it likely that Kuyt could get his place back, or should I go for the certainty of starts of Adam?
Not a Liverpool fan buy would go Adam. More set pieces too with Gerrard out. Both pretty uninspiring to me, this is a hard week.
Really hard week. The set pieces are a good lure, but I feel Kuyt has more potential to get double figures. Will have to think about this one.
I'd go Kuyt if he was a sure starter. They have enough options to put me off him unfortunately.

Problem with Adam is that he'll lose most set pieces/(maybe even a starting berth) when Gerrard is back for the DGW.

Adam is most likely to start with Stevie out for a bit and not really any of alternatives. Kuyt I would bet will play at the weekend, beyond that is a lottery. The midfield is too interchangeable. Unless u really want to gamble id stick to the defence and Suarez if u want a sure starter.

Absolutely. I would guess Bellamy and Kuyt will start as neither did at Wembley. So I'd say probably those 2 would start with Suarez and Downing I guess as he did play half decent at the weekend. Carroll might play instead of one of those 4 I suppose but either way their gonna be 2 in centre mid, I'm not sure Adam & Henderson have started as a 2 in CM before so I would guess it will be Adam & Spearing.

I wouldn't go with either personally, Kuyt has rarely started and when he does he doesn't tend to get forward as much now, Adam isn't a great option either but if i had to pick i'd go with Charlie
If I had to chose between those two I would go with Adam. I wouldn't chose any though at this time, there is no finishing at Liverpool and their form in League is shite at best. What did catch me off guard is that of the 29 goals LFC has scored Adam has had his hand in 12 of them, 11 from assist.
