Time for a taste of some real money? Tired of nipping away at the heels of the big odds with that cheeky quid or two? Well this week on the Flutter with Paddy Power, we’ve organised something to get your teeth into, and we’re confident enough to double up on it.

It’s been bandied around for weeks now that the Premier League title is there for Manchester City to lose. The winning mentality that kept Man United garnished with silverware has slipped to their neighbours in blue, as has the talent of picking up points on an off-day. City have seemingly shrugged off the winter blues and have looked irresistible in their last three and in Fantasy terms, we’re lapping it up.

Talent spills off the pitch and onto the bench at the Etihad, but a trio of world class players are the key to their successes. At the back, skipper Vincent Kompany has marshalled his defensive line with a steely confidence, with 12 clean-sheets a clear testament to this. In the middle of the park, David Silva has been a creative inspiration to his fellow team-mates. Always available for a pass and on the look out for cutting runs and attacking movement, Silva has bagged 14 assists and more than a couple of goals himself. Benefiting from Silva’s abundance of flair, Sergio Aguero has instantly established himself as a Premier League force with 16 goals and counting.

You don’t need me to tell you all this, as bar a few differentials, you all have a sky blue seam running through you Fantasy squad. And if you don’t, you’re probably regretting it right now, as Bolton make their way to the Etihad this weekend.

Now to the bet. Paddy are offering 4/1 for Man city to win with a cleanie, Aguero to score and Silva to get an assist.

Let’s break the bet down a little. Aguero has scored five goals in his last five league games – failing to score in just one of those five. Silva has notched FPL assists in three of his last four matches at the Etihad and has five assists in his last seven games. In terms of clean sheets meanwhile, City have kept shut-outs in five of their last six home matches – only failing to keep a clean sheet at home to Spurs. Those components align nicely with the Trotters paying visit.

Paddy’s special accumulator would be hard to beat picking up odds from multiple companies, and especially tough trying to find anyone offering an assist market. Nonetheless, I’d price this up at somewhere between 13/5 and 11/4 just going off the accumulated odds. That’s a decent point over, and therefore a bet worth taking. With change from Augero’s goal and win double last week, we’re breaking the bank and putting up £20 on this one and readying our wallet for the shape of a ton in crisp notes.

Elsewhere amongst Paddy’s specials this week, the Peter Odemwingie bet also looks tempting. The Nigerian and his Baggies team-mates are flying and with 7/1 on an Odemwingie goal and a West Brom win over Chelsea on offer, this also looks worth a punt with five goals in two games in his locker.

There’s odds 7/2 on Yakubu scoring and Blackburn earning a much-needed three points against Villa, with 9/1 offered on two or more goals for the striker in the match.
Finally, Clint Dempsey is without a goal in three but Paddy are offering 5/2 on the American replicating his heroics with his national side in midweek and scoring in a Fulham win over Wolves.

Money Back Specials

Paddy Power yet again have some nice Money-Back Specials which mean that even if your bets a loser, you can still end up getting your cash back. Starting at Anfield, Paddy are willing to refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match between Liverpool and Arsenal if a penalty is scored in the game.

The same applies to the Spurs vs Man United clash on Sunday. If a spot-kick is scored in that game, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Should I keep Valencia for their favourable run of fixtures coming up or sell? I also have Bale and RVP in my team who are doubts this week. My bench is: McClean, Caulker, Evans. Thanks!

If you don't get Rooney, you'll want some United coverage from next week on. That said, Rooney is a stronger option - Valencia may or may not be fit and selected vs West Brom.

Do you have Newcastle coverage in your defence? That swung it for me, what with Sess and his flight times this week.

Yeah me too. Also Siggy is arguably more reliable for points, the derby factor adding to Sess' uncertainty.

And the Toon are gonna win, despite our Martin's good work 🙂

They're not normally high-scoring games the NE derbies. Last year was a bit of an anomaly really.

Sun lost 5-1 last time but it was a different team culture then. The Toon are due another double though, on present form I'd say it was a real possibility. My bet is a hard-fought 2-1..

I'm really not sure what to do here. I was happy with me midfield but now I'm stymied with no TonyV and Bale a doubt.

Wanted to wait & see with my 2FT but I'm prepared to spend it this week, all things considered. Was thinking of Newcastle defensive cover moving from Krul to Raylor, possibly bringing Friedel back after a long absence. Would stil like to...

What do you guys think? I'm not too fussed about the DGW.

    Krul (Vorm)
    Richards, BAE, Evans, Rangel, SKelly
    Bale, Valencia, Cabaye, Sigurdsson, Moses
    RVP Aguero PCisse

Hmm ... I think Bale will play. I personally wouldn't bother playing around with Krul & getting Raylor. That doesn't seem a big step forward (I know Raylor chips in on offence). I would say use one transfer this week and keep two in your pocket for next. I would be tempted to hold Valencia because you are going to want him back soon. But if you must, then Dempsey seems a good shout for the next few weeks (I still like him for a goal even with the other attacking threats). Other mid option is Yaya. Otherwise, Richards to Kompany is still a decent idea to get some security.

Yeah good point re the Toon players. I just have a hunch Ryan will start to do his set-piece stuff again, now the team's back together. Tomorrow will tell I think.

I was thinking Dempsey for Valencia, but my closest rival has him. I'm happy to shunt Valencia out for a couple of weeks, won't lose much on him. Yaya's a good shout, but will he play? Frying pan > fire, potentially.

Tell the truth Kuyt is winking at me... having said 'meh' to the DGW, he's been v impressive lately. What you think?

    My inevitable underperformers this week:

    Krul
    Taiwo, JEvans, Richards
Bale, McClean, Silva, Dempsey (c), Mata
    Ba, RVP

    Mignolet, Rangel, Kelly, Gerbil

No transfers for me either, even with doubts over RVP and Bale. Kelly looks unlikely to play, and who knows if Senderos will come in. Hopefully Richards will play this time, but I'm not expecting anything. And then there's Sess and his flight times. I expect a bad week too.

Anyway, plan is next week for me:
      Aguero -> Rooney
      RIchards + Senderos/Kelly -> Skrtel + Enrique

      all for a 4 pointer.

Though I reserve the right to change my mind.

I'd play Richards. It would be very odd if he was 'rested' for 3 league games in a row.

Funny thing is loads of people are selling him and yet he could end up coming back today and grabbing a goal or assist or something.

Mind you, I have him so that means he probably gets a 1 min cameo for 1 pt whilst my first sub defender prob scores and keeps a cleanie and stays on the bench.

    Press Conference at Cyprus:

Press: So, How is the confidence in the team?
Me: Yeah very good..It was a convincing victory las time out against Schalke and the mood in the team is very positive.

    Press:You literally thrashed the German...
Me: Yup absolutely killed them with a 12 point victory margin. Even if we played our match at Gelsenkirchen, we would have still beaten them. It was very convincing, but there's no room for over-confidence.Laranaca is a very good team and their manager finished 14th last year, albeit with a different team.

Press: There's some injury concerns..will that affect your team??
Me: No, I don't think so..Bale's a serious worry; but we have our Academy player McClean to come on for him if he fails his late fitness test..The Lad is a serious talent, u know.. I am not too concerned over RVP, because Kun has told me secretly that he is going to make up for the Dutchman's abscence..

Press:So, he is Your captain for the week??
Me: Maybe, Maybe not..You shall see..

Press: So,What's your strategy for the Match??
Me: We will go full out attack..3 upfront..

Press:There's a rumor that you will bring in a Pig when the Transfer Window opens next week..Can u clarify??

When it means you are starting Enrique and Evans, neither of whom have much (if any) likelihood of clean sheet, then yes, it is (sorry, just my opinion). Could be looking at 1-2 apiece from each of them, with minimal chance of more. Sounds like Bale good to go. RVP will have to be really lame for them to sit him against Liverpool.

yeah i am benching Evans and enrique now. I was ready to take chance cos my opponent has Rvp and bale too.. Upon that he has Mata and silva... That why i thought i will play enrique for rvp and evans for bale... Lol...

Kids finally to bed, so I can head that way too. Darn sleepovers take their toll on my early morning games. I went with Silva, FWIW. Had Ba as my VC, but then shifted that to Dempsey. But my captain choices have been cursed for the last several weeks. Outsmarted myself a couple of times. May be doing it again this week. Whenever I take band away from RVP, he just friggin' goes OFF.

I like Richards over kompany this week. You could drop Kelly to bench. Wolves not great opposition, but they do score. Also Newcastle not likely to keep a cleanie. I Reckon you could pick up some potential points by simply playing Richards, Caulker, and J Evans and Vorm. Evans not likely to keep a shutout either, but can be a differential and if Newcastle dont keep a cleanie you have nothing to lose. Play caulker and vorm as well as I think they have a better chance shutting out Wigan than fullham do to wolves. If Newcastle then concede he will drop points and you have the swans to make up some differences, can easily make up the 4 points there alone and then go with your strongest captain choice instead of trying to pick the differential there,
