Sunday brings us three Premier League matches, with events kicking off at midday with the Tyne-Wear derby clash and culminating with the titanic clash at White Hart Lane. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open and will be around to soak your reactions as the day progresses.

The team news from the Sports Direct Arena brings us no surprises in the Newcastle lineup with Papiss Cisse shaking off a groin problem to partner Demba Ba up front. Martin O’Neill has given us food for thought, however, drafting in Nicklas Bendtner in attack, presumably shifting Stephane Sessegnon to a support role. Jack Colbak makes way, while Phil Bardsley recovers form a calf problem to take his place in the back four.

Enjoy the game, and the Fulham vs Wolves and Tottenham vs Man United clashes later today and pop into to the Dugout Discussion for some real-time Fantasy Football bantering.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Why on earth would the fans of any club want Rafa to be their next manager?

One of the best manager's in the game? Absolutely not!

He did well in Europe but Liverpool were shocking tactically towards the end, he made some absolutely insane selection choices. Was awful at Inter.

Not saying he is a terrible manager completely, but if I were a Chelsea fan I wouldnt want him near tbh.

imo i would say he is definitely one of the best. the media here didn't like him because he was a cheeky bastard but as a manager he is brilliant. tactically he is a sharp manager, always a tough game against any of his sides. if you look at his time at liverpool they were always a tough team to beat with him there, for the first time in years he made them a force, without even spending much money. he got screwed over by the owners not having money but he still did pretty well for them if you consider he had to buy free transfers and sell players to fund new ones.

He knows how to deal with £50m Torres. He is also a very good manager. Did terrific with Valencia and won Champions league with pool.

I don't buy into this - Benitez was in charge when Torres began his spiral into terrible form. Not to say he was necessarily at fault for that, but he certainly didn't get the best out of him in his last season at Liverpool.

    Re: AVB

Okay, he wasn't great and you're judged on results. But firstly, the players just aren't up to scratch. Cahill, Ramires, Bosingwa, Luiz et al. aren't going to win you championships. And secondly, the behaviour of some of the player like Terry situation and Lampard kicking his toys out the pram aren't going to help anyone. Wouldn't be surprised if some dirty laundry is aired in the next couple of weeks.

I think the AVB thing has set a very bad trend for Chelsea. When the likes of Lamps don't like a manager they will now kick up a fuss and cry to Abramovich until they get their way. I'm not saying that AVB was flawless, had a lot of things he didn't handle well but at the end of the day you fall in line with the manager and do the job he requests of you. If it still falls apart after that that's a different story but the likes of Lamps straight away was against AVB, possibly because he's getting on now and has his position more at risk. Just my view on it though. I think you'd have to be mad to want to be the Chelsea manager right now.

Agree with you. Even if Hiddink was manager Im sure he would have dropped Lampard. AVB was trying to rejuvinate Chelsea with some pace and youth. It takes time to "rebuild". At the end of the day, Drogba, Terry and lamps carry more power in the dressing room than the manager.

That's exactly it. Too much power with the players, feel bad for AVB. The likes of Abramovich are too impatient and when he isn't 100% behind the manager it instantly causes that tension.

Yeah the whole dynamic at the club is wrong. Player power rules and if they don't like who is in charge they will defy the manager and won't support anything he does. And players like Terry, Lampard, Cole & Drogba have such influence at the club that other players follow suit. AVB has the backing of the Portuguese/Brazilian players but the club is divided. You need everyone pulling in the right direction.

But like you say this will keep happening at Chelsea until they address the personnel at the club.
