Sunday brings us three Premier League matches, with events kicking off at midday with the Tyne-Wear derby clash and culminating with the titanic clash at White Hart Lane. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open and will be around to soak your reactions as the day progresses.

The team news from the Sports Direct Arena brings us no surprises in the Newcastle lineup with Papiss Cisse shaking off a groin problem to partner Demba Ba up front. Martin O’Neill has given us food for thought, however, drafting in Nicklas Bendtner in attack, presumably shifting Stephane Sessegnon to a support role. Jack Colbak makes way, while Phil Bardsley recovers form a calf problem to take his place in the back four.

    Was so tempted to bring in some City cover but decided to make NO transfers at all and picked Demps (C)...(I still have my WC while all my rivals have not!)
    When I saw the only guy that can still catch me at the top, had made 3 transfers, Aguero (C), Silva (VC) and Walcott in, I was a tiny bit worried...
    I let you imagine how i feel right now!
    Still lots of games to go but today I virtually won the league

            Yeah very good (very similar to mine - you must have a higher team value though). Assume you've had Vorm from the start? Otherwise Schwarzer/Friedel may be a better value pick.

            Considering a punt on Walcott too as he has good short term fixtures.

    Even though I will field only nine players this week as I watch Silva and Bale sit on almost 20m pounds of salary and Ba and Sess play their way to a -3, this gameweek is good for FPL. The attack was getting incredibly boring with a fairly standard Dream Team lineup like Sess, Bale, Silva, Demps, Ba, Aguero, RVP in most squads, so an entire GW of action was reduced to about two or three players differential in h2h matches. What the hell was the fun of hoping that your second bench defender would make an appearance for a one point victory? The aforementioned seven players got a red card, a PK miss, three blanks, and then two killer performances; hopefully everyone knee jerks and things shake up for the final stretch of the season. Let's go Captain Skrtel!
