Sunday brings us three Premier League matches, with events kicking off at midday with the Tyne-Wear derby clash and culminating with the titanic clash at White Hart Lane. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open and will be around to soak your reactions as the day progresses.

The team news from the Sports Direct Arena brings us no surprises in the Newcastle lineup with Papiss Cisse shaking off a groin problem to partner Demba Ba up front. Martin O’Neill has given us food for thought, however, drafting in Nicklas Bendtner in attack, presumably shifting Stephane Sessegnon to a support role. Jack Colbak makes way, while Phil Bardsley recovers form a calf problem to take his place in the back four.

Enjoy the game, and the Fulham vs Wolves and Tottenham vs Man United clashes later today and pop into to the Dugout Discussion for some real-time Fantasy Football bantering.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

RVP and Dempsey saving my GW.

Thank goodness I gambled and put armband on captain America this week!

In total I have 1 keeper, 1 def, 3 mids and 2 strikers played this week plus Rangel's points to come off the bench. And of course, as soon as I got Ba in he scores 2, 2 and -1. So I apologise in advance to everyone who currently owns Wayne Rooney seems I'm replacing Ba with him this week.

Wondering whether to keep Mata now that Chelsea have sacked AVB?

Was going to ditch him last night but think I may keep him to see if he starts to pick up under Di Matteo. Was going to ditch Bale to get Rooney in so may go back to that plan now.

Everyone in my mini league has Bale anyway and since I'm playing catch up I may as well keep hold of the differential instead.

Same here, RVP, Siggy and Dempsey to the rescue...

Do you reckon Rooney is a must have from next week on? I'm wildcarding and am looking at a front 3 of RVP, Suarez, Pog. Pog -> Rooney decimates my midfield is all...

Yes I think he's essential from hereon in.

Pog is good value and you get points for goals in this game so go with the hot hands. Look at all of us with template midfields getting naff all returns for it now!

I'm actually considering Drenthe for a gamble since the changes I want to do leave me with £5.3m (got 2 frees and thinking of doing 3 changes to include 1 dgw'er). No Landon Donovan now to get in his way.

Need to get Skrtel in, who to sub out? Team below:

    Vorm, mignolet
    Evans, Richards, caulker, Williamson, shotton
    Dempsey, silva, bale, valencia, mcclean
    Rvp, rooney, Ba

Richards? Fancy him to get some minutes now
Caulker? Already have vorm, but great value
Shotton? Still not nailed on but good value at the moment
Williamson? Newcastle haven't looked solid at the back for a while.

    Cheers

Ba and Sess -> Rooney and siggy . Yay or nay(both ft's)

    Would leave me with
    Krul, Vorm
    Richards, Kelly, Evans, Raylor, Skrtel
    Bale, Dempsey, Siggy, Yaya, McClean
    Rvp, Rooney, Aguero

I know it's a lot up top but i want rooney and don't want to sell aguero

That's some team you would have there although Richards never seems to play. Is this a WC?

I have the same dilema with Ba and Sess but am thinking of:

      Scholes/Siggy and Pogre

would be 4 point hit and typical knee jerk reaction. Need to dump Sess before he decreases in value.

    My Wildcard team.

    Howard (Vorm)
Skertel, Enrique, Evans (2 from Caulker/Kelly/McAuley/Santon/Senderos)
    Demspey, Nani, Siggy, Drenthe (McClean)
    Suarez (C), RVP, Rooney

Around 1.6 in bank (depending on the combo of defenders) which will make it easy to get Kompany in.

I know Drenthe and Howard are risky but I am chasing a 50 point lead.

    Thoughts? too many punts?

Maybe, maybe not. We'll just have to see. 😉 But personally I think Sigurdsson and Mcclean are great value for midfields, so money can be spent elsewhere.

I do, however, miss Bale. I know there's a lot of talk about fixtures and so on, but there are those who rise above them, and Bale is one of them.

They always do it, it's quite amazing. I still don't know how they won the league last year with what was a poor squad, same story this year.

To paraphrase Hansen, the ability to win a game despite playing poorly is the mark of a champion.

My Europa League match against Doosra might come down to Sess and Koscielny coming off the bench 🙂

Me and Salsberg both have all three subs coming on and still can only field ten.

Unlucky. This GW shows how important it is to have a good bench

True, I would say my bench is good just got unlucky. Bale, Silva, Richards and Taiwo all out in the same week? Cant really mitigate against that.

Rooney. He's going to make a run at Van Persie for high FPL scorer. I don't think he'll catch him but I bet it will be close by the end of the year.
