Ashley Young’s brace at White Hart Lane has sparked a renewed interest in the Man United winger, fuelled by a slew of obliging fixtures in the coming weeks. Fantasy managers are flocking back to the former Villa man, hoping he can replicate his match winning feat against Spurs and re-establish himself as a top level Fantasy talent, having suffered a string of frustrating injuries this term.

Using the Opta data and our own ICT Index scores, this latest Members article takes time out to run the rule over Young’s season so far, analysing his recent performances and comparing him to team-mates Nani and Antonio Valencia to assess whether he can repay the current surge of investment.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Nice article.

    Current team

    Krul Mignolet
    Richards Evans Kaboul Senderos Enrique
    N’Zogbia Tarrabt Dempsey Bale McLean
    Rooney RVP Suarez
    (1.1 in the bank)

    I haven’t transferred Enrique in yet but i’ve just realized that instead of Krul & Enrique i could have Reina and Gibbs. Only downside is i wouldn’t have the 1.1 to get Valencia later if he does become nailed on. What do you reckon?

      "Nice article, now back to my team" 😉

      Have you made transfers yet? I like the trade, but I'm not a fan of Nzog or Taarabt so would look to them. Could be good differentials for you though so what do I know. Gibbs doesn't stay fit for long, he's one I'd consider for next season as you'll end up with another transfer to do with him. Agree about ridding yourself of Krul, if you've got 2 frees I don't see the harm. Wouldn't do it for a hit personally.

        My tactic is basically to rotate the three cheap mids. So over the coming weeks, Mclean, N'Zogbia and Taarabt will become Siggy, Morrison and Etherington/Valencia. Reina & Gibbs sounds soo much better then Krul & Enrique!

          No mystery to me...he's playing this weekend. Now if he doesn't play this weekend, then it would be a full blow conspiracy. No one else other than Richards on the right with speed...throw Clichy there. If you can't try sh*t out in Europa, then where can you? I definitely wouldn't put Kolo out right.

          I found that asking my 2 year old for her opinion on captain choices works well.

          (until I realised that she had associated "Persie" with Thomas The Tank and Dempsey with the Teletubbies meaning all of her selections had been utter fluke) - still highly effective as it has worked out!

    Will he play though?

    If all United's midfielder are fit, who do we think gets the most pitch minutes in the run in? Not even Nani is liekly to get 10 prem starts if Valencia and Young are fit, right?

    Cahill – Evans – Kompany
    Dempsey – Ryo – Nani – Bale
    V.P (C) – Rooney (VC) – Holt
    Subs: Siggy, Senderos, Santon

        hmm for me, im planning on selling Richards, so it would be Richards to Sagna and Valencia to the Miyaichi...

        However, I could do Richards -> Caulker (this would mean my entire defence is below 5.0 D:)
        & Val -> Young

          That twat Durham! He's always right about everything in his own mind, and don't get me started on his sidekick "the fact is", Darren Gough.

    Got Young myself. He'll either be 3, 2, 2, 3 or go nuts. Every time I've sold him in the last 3 seasons I've always said "I'm not getting you again". Why Ashley, why do you tempt me you inconsistent Marlo Stanfield lookalike?

    What's your thoughts on Bale for the next few weeks? Not as important to have as he has been or still one of the best assets in midfield?

      I think Bale's day has passed, as long as Saha stays in the team, I've said it before but I believe if that's how Spurs are going to set up now, 4-4-2, then Adebayor is the Spurs attacker to have.

      For now wait and see but I'm getting the point where either Bale or Dempsey has to go to fund my Rooney, RVP, Ade front three, and if I was doing it now I'd be losing Bale.

    Thinking of doing:

    Aguero --> Roon
    ShawX--> JEnrique
    Richards-->JEvans

    For a 4pt hit.

    Should I hold off on the last one? Or just follow through. Thanks in advance!

    Anyone know the likely hood of Kelly starting for fulham this weekend and do you think Suarez Pilkington or McAuley will rise before 2am tonight? Thanks

    Why does Aaron Hughes have to be a doubt for the Villa game? Can't those useless a-holes at Fulham all be fit for just a couple of matches so we can find out who's first choice?
