      Fergy reckons he'll be back ... unless there's been a setback.
      
      There's no guarantee he'll start but he was in good form before he got injured.
      
      2 FT is interesting - I don't think you need to take a hit necessarily but I'd be tempted by:
      
      Kompany, Walters, Aguero --> Enrique, Suarez, Nani/Young --> Can you afford that? I did something very similar this week.

Dammit! Was gonna wait to find out about the extent of Kompany's injury before swapping for Skrtel. Didn't think Skrtel would rise last night and he did!

Is Skrtel still worth getting over Enrique? Doing this for a hit (DGW and all plus I'd be playing Kompany every game more or less)

  Hmm I didn't expect him to rise either.
  
  My intentions is to get Glen Johnson anyway and Skertel rising makes the justification for the extra money easier.
  
  Personally I would go for Skertel but I am happy with the balance on the rest of the squad, so don't need the extra funds.
  
  A lot of my rivals have Enrique aswell, so good differential.

On WC so thinking to swap Kompany for Enrique and double up on pool. This then opens up another couple of options elsewehere (assuming I don’t bank the difference for a switch back to a City def down the line):

Which looks better?

  Have two frees and was very lucky to a) stick with Senderos and not switch to Kelly and b) switch Sessegnon out for McClean last week, so as of now I don't have any pressing concerns.

Hmmm, little test for myself...

a) ba + walters + 8 points
b) suarez + miyachi

After this Kompany injury, I went for 4 transfers (3 last sunday) and now looking what's done it doesn't make me proud!
Really should have waited with those transfers and just do two frees.

I did
kompany + sess + aguero + ba => skrtl + miyachi + suarez + rooney

Should have done
kompany + aguero => skrtl + rooney (+ play walters and ba)

Well what's done, is done - at least I can try to convince myself that, that walters transfer would have come sometime anyway, and propably for a hit.

Kompany injured, Richards 'certain to play'
Amazing really..When I wildcarded Kompany was suspended and Richards was playing every game.
Then Kompany returned, and was injured for a week a game or so later and all the Richards owners were cheering...until Richards went on a run of successive rotations/injuries and Kompany owners thought all was well...now this.
There must have been plenty that had Kompany and switched to Richards when he was suspended, then switched back after all this rotation. Ahhh, FPL...

Morning folks.

Just logging on to the news that Vincent Kompany is out for at least 2-3 weeks 🙁 This after I managed to find a way of getting RVP, Rooney, Suarez and a Liverpool defender without shipping him.

Anywho... This probably isn't going to be the first or last time this is asked:
Kompany > Enrique (already have Skrtel) for a 4pt hit

Thoughts please kind folks.

    Well Enrique will score 4 points minumum this week IMO, and then Enrique has Qpr, whereas Kompany has Chelsea, so even if Bad K misses just this week it should pay off over the next 2 weeks.

      Agreed, it's not a huge risk. Depends on whether or not you'll want to get him back once he's fit again. I would imagine that Man City at home to Chelsea will have similar (if not better) clean sheet odds than Liverpool at QPR. So I wouldn't get rid if you want him back and have reasonable cover for him this week.

  I'd say go for it.
  Kompany isn't playing for a few weeks minimum, and Enrique will pay the 4 points off this week - and that is even if he doesn't get any possible extras (Bonus, Clean sheet, assist, goal) and after this week he has qpr WIG, compared to Kompanys CHE sto (if he even plays)

    He'd only more or less guarantee paying the 4 points back if you had no other defenders to play in Kompany's place, which I'm guessing is unlikely.
    
    Save it if you have a reasonable 4th choice defender.

  I'd say it's not really worth it.
  
  There's a chance he will make the Chelsea game. Even if he doesn't, You've got 2 Fulham defenders for GW 29. I also think that starting Senderos & Caulker this week wouldn't be so bad.
  
  If you do take the hit then you will be stuck with 2 Liverpool defenders and no United/City defensive coverage.

    I will only consider keeping him if it is only GW28 he misses. Not sure anyone can guarantee that.

      To be honest I'm now considering a hit - Kompany > Enrique, leaving me with the following defense:
      
      Mignolet (Lindy)
      
      Skrtel Kelly Simpson BAE Enrique
      
      There's a good chance of it paying off short term since Kelly is injured and Simpson has Arsenal (away).
      
      The problem is then that I would probably have to use another transfer to do Enrique (or Skrtel) > Kompany (when fit)/Evans. I think that's putting me off at the moment!
      
      As for your situation, I think a hit could work out for you but I'd still look at getting rid of one Liverpool defender for Evans/Kompany in the near future, so work out if you think there's a good chance that you will want the transfers to change any of your attacking players (e.g. Sess? Moses? Ba? Aguero?)

Haven't taken an 8 point hit all season, but I might now be forced to, I've already gotten rid of Sessegnon. Is it worth the hit to do:
Kompany (out) - Skirtel (in)
Aguero (out) - Rooney (in)

What is everyone doing with Kompany?

I've already used my FTs and taking a hit to get rid when it seems he will miss 2 games max seems risky. I'm not sure I fancy United to get a cleanie and I don't want to double up on Liverpool defence (already have Skrtel)

I could understand if you had a FT and bad options on the bench - a transfer to a Liverpool/United defender would make sense, especially since they have the better fixtures anyway. I'm assuming Kompany > Richards/Lescott is out of the question as well!

      Yes worth it. Can't you not afford another 0.1m for Enrique? I just wouldn't spend 4 points on another 'pool defender unless you are short of players, DGW or not.

Am I the only one confused about doubling up on Liverpool defenders? We already saw what happened the last double gameweek with building a team around it. Liverpool are away to Sunderland who've goals in them and the Merseyside derby could get ugly. I'm predicting 4 point return maximum for each player.

  It's not confusing, a lot of people are at that stage now where they need to gamble to catch up mini league leaders etc. Liverpool have a double gameweek and then very nice fixtures afterwards, the defence has been pretty solid and the attacking options are shite, so doubling on the defence is the most sensible route to go down. No one is saying its definetly gonna work.
