Gameweek 28 concludes tonight with the hotly-anticipated Merseyside Derby. Bragging rights are up for grabs in Liverpool, and for us fantasy managers so are double gameweek points. The Dugout Discussion opens for the fourth day on-the-bounce, as team news from Anfield emerges…

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Carragher, Jose Enrique, Henderson, Gerrard, Spearing, Downing, Carroll, Suarez.

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Pienaar, Stracqualursi, Anichebe.

Kenny Dalglish names an attacking line-up, desperate to put an end to his prolonged set of horrendous results. Andy Carroll partners Luis Suarez, and Steven Gerrard returns to the starting eleven.

Celebrating 10 years of continuous employment this week, David Moyes could see his side leap-frog their city rivals with a win. It’s surprising then that, despite his winner against Spurs, Nikica Jelavic is dropped to the bench along with John Heitinga. In their place, Denis Stracqualursi and Phil Jagielka come in.

Follow the game as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

    Hmm, should I do Silva > Walcott now to beat the Silva price drop. He's got no game so he should play bar freak training injury.

      I wouldn't touch Walcott personally, I'd be looking towards Utd for wolves and following fixtures.

        I've held on to Valencia (probably unwisely) and got Rooney last GW so I'm covered United-wise.

        Don't fancy Arsenal's fixtures? Look decent to me after Everton. The threat of rotation and the price makes it very close between Nani/Young vs Walcott for me. Should Valencia cement a start then it would be different - he'd be the option but I don't see that happening.

          Even the Everton fixture doesn't look that bad the way they're playing at the minute. Plus they'll have had a 10 day rest whereas Everton will be coming off the back of a (I expect) hard FA Cup game vs Sunderland

    Will probably end up with 53 (-8). Another poor GW for myself.

    Transfer next week injury permitting will be;

    Silva -> Andrews
    Cisse -> Rooney

    I'm lucky enough to be in the last 64 of the official Champions league cup. Before tomorrow the score is 106 (-6) vs. 102, so technically my opponent is in front by two.

    He has: Ronaldo, Arbeloa, Sturridge
    I have: Higuain, Kaka

    What are my chances?

      2 of them double gameweekers. If it had been a single gameweek that Enrique/Skrtel and Suarez transfer would not have been looking so pretty.

      NICE!!! I am thinking of taking a 12 point hit for next week myself. But I just can't stomach it.

      I think I am going to space the transfers out and take a 4 point hit the following week.

      It's possible. He was really struggling at the end of the arsenal match. You could tell that he was spent. Might be a bit of an ACON hangover catching up to him? Pardew could slot Cisse in for Ba (although a tired Ba could probably still do better based on Cisse's last time out)

              While it sounds like a sound move, I can see Aguero scoring well next week. He performs well against tougher sides, always scores his points at home and City are a wounded animal right now.

              Having not started 2 games in a row, I can see him repaying Mancini's faith in him this weekend by notching two goals before being subbed off by Tevez at the 60 minute mark.

          I think Valencia will probably only get 20 minutes or so. He;s not gonna throw him straight back in after a month out.

            I would sooner think he playes 60, scores a couple of assists in that time and subbed off for a well deserved rest.

          Fergie loves Valencia. The only players i've seen start when fit in the Manu squad the last year is Rooney and Valencia.

          Young and Nani are riskier imo.

                It's that element of patronisation that I find difficult to deal with.

                I am proud - both of my thinking and of what I say, which I try, not always successfully to research properly. Ah well, back to the drawing board, I suppose ... 🙂

                  I am very sorry if I come across as patronising as that is not what I want to achieve, although I expect a certain amount that will be in ample evidence in any footy "forum". It is the nature, although I try not to stoop to the depths of others.

                  We (sometimes) crow when we are successful and kowtow when not. We all take the piss when applicable. Hrmmm... sorry, I really didn't mean to offend ðŸ™

    Won't have much time to look at my team this week so any suggestions on the following?

    To start:

    1) Kelly or Evans or Santon? Pick one..

    2) Moses or McClean?

    To Captain:

    Rooney, Dempsey, Bale, Ba? Currently going with Rooney..
