Kenny Dalglish names an attacking line-up, desperate to put an end to his prolonged set of horrendous results. Andy Carroll partners Luis Suarez, and Steven Gerrard returns to the starting eleven.

Celebrating 10 years of continuous employment this week, David Moyes could see his side leap-frog their city rivals with a win. It’s surprising then that, despite his winner against Spurs, Nikica Jelavic is dropped to the bench along with John Heitinga. In their place, Denis Stracqualursi and Phil Jagielka come in.

Gomez is punishing me again like last year. I didn't learn the lesson 🙁 I went Benzema then RVP in order not to have 3 Bayern attackers. Advises here were maybe sound not to have 3 Bayern attacker, but my fault I haven't gone with the instinct. Having 3 strikers in the quarters is gonna be huge!!! MEssi. CR7, Ibra, Gomez, Higuain. Tones of options. Be a wise man and choose the right one
