      Honestly, I don't see how Utd/City/Porto/Valencia etc. can be rewarded for failure in one competition, by entry in another - totally devalues it. Think of the likes of Stoke/A.Madrid/Schalke etc. who had preliminary rounds and the group stage to get as far.
      
      A trophy a trophy, yes, but not that disappointed Utd are out.

        It also helps to keep the groups more honest. When you are out of CL and yet still fighting for Europa spot, you will still play your best team against top teams which helps to keep the short group stages more competitive.

So, should I keep with the 3 expensive midfielders(Dempsey,Nani,Silva) or switch to only 2 expensive and 3 cheapies and get in Adebayor or Suarez for the run-in instead of Yakubu to go with RVP and Rooney. If I was to keep the 3 expensive midfielders i'd get rid of Silva for Bale, then get in Lampard,Walcott or Gerrard for Dempsey after GW31.

    Well, at the start of the season you have only 1 WC(Scrapping Winter WC), which can be used at any time. FPL will give you 5 additional transfers all season long with the 1 Free Transfer per week, these 5 can be used at any time throughout the season.
