While there are still five games to go in the Gameweek, the EA Sports Player Performance Index has been published for the weekend’s four matches, which means the Fantasy Premier League have awarded their bonus points accordingly. Here’s how they’re shared out…

Fulham 0 Swansea 3
Sigurdsson 3, Routledge 2, Allen 1

Wigan 1 West Brom 1
McArthur 3, Scharner 2, Beausejour 1

Wolves 0 Man United 5
Hernandez 3, Valencia 2, Welbeck & Evans 1

Newcastle 1 Norwich 0
Cisse 3, Gutierrez & Cabaye 2

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Dempsey - Bale - Silva

    Who to swap for Valencia?

Leaning towards Dempsey, but all three have been patchy...

Thanks all - my head is spinning! 😉

Surprised at no Bale suggestions - we think Spurs going to get themselves together soon? Dempsey let me down against Swansea... not that I'm bitter. And just feels weird to sell Silva - he's been there all season for me! 🙂

hmm I think I'm doing Silva>Valencia and McClean Sess...
        that would leave my attack:

        Dempsey | Sigg | Sess | Valencia | Bale
        RVP | Roo | Ba

I don't want to get rid of Ba... People keep telling me to drop, but I've watched this games and he's been unlucky...IMO

    Hi all

Is young->Valencia worth a 4 point hit, or wait a week?

I feel that Young will probably play next weekend against Fulham. Surely he wont be benched twice? Agree that Valencia is a better bet, just unsure about the 4 points...

      Young should play next GW.

Rotation is a massive issue with the United wingers, Valencia I suppose would be the most "nailed on" given his form, but he will still get rested on occasion, and I would say if he were to be rested it would be more likely in a home game given his work rate being more valuable in away games.

Stick with Young for now.........not worth the 4 pt hit when he will more than likely play.

but even a hit now for a more nailed on player in form is better than just making do when a near 10m player makes a few guest appearances?

-4 now but paid back many times over before the end of the season.

I agree that Valencia is a better bet over the course of the remaining season, but Young will probably play the next game, after which he can swap Young to Valencia for no hit.

The question isn't if Young is a better bet than Valencia, it is when is the best time to make the trade:

          - This GW for -4 when Young has a good chance of playing.
          - Next GW for free when the rotation situation could be "who knows"?

Thank you. This is the crux of the matter for me. I WILL be getting Valencia for Young at some stage, but not sure about right now.

Not quite the point though. I can easily do Young->Valencia next week for free.

Your post assumes that whenever I decide to do Young->Valencia, it will be for a hit, and therefore I should do it now.

Also, Valencia had one good game, against a 10 man Wolves. Had Young played he may have done just as well. I dont think you can bring FORM into it. And if you did, surely we would have to give it to Young? Played well for England, blinder against Tottenham, decent last week against West Brom.

I agree that, at 7.5/6 Valencia is superior, but I dunno about the 4 point hit...

Adam was playing poorly, was dropped for the last two games with Gerrard and Spearing playing in the middle and Liverpool have looked much better.

He can't play alongside Gerrard, neither of them have enough defensive discipline.

I can't see him starting midweek when the team has looked good without him, unless Gerrard is rested

Thing is, at the moment, Walcott's the only one of the 4 that has form.
Odemwingie has had a few tough fixtures, but just drew a blank vs Wigan.
Adebayor might fire back up with easier fixtures, but his streaks are unpredictable, and I think it's best to be a week late then a few weeks early.
Sessegnon is hard to tell really, but it seemed Sunderlands, and Sessegnons, wheels were falling off before the red card.

Disagree with the hype. 3 came against an awful Wolves team, and the other 2 were against an awful Sunderland.

He needs to pick up consistent returns to convince me. I AM aware he's only played wide right in his last 4-5 games, but if you take those 2 games from his last 15 you'd laugh at the suggestion of getting him.

Hi everyone :o) I can't decide who to take out for:
    1) JEvans... Simpson or McAuley?
    2) Valencia... Miyaichi or Sessegnon?

    My team is:
    Vorm (someone in for Lindegaard)
    Skrtel Cahill NTaylor Simpson McAuley
    Bale Miyachi Dempsey Siggurdson Sessegnon
    Rooney RVP Suarez

I have Ridgewell so I really should be telling you to get McAuley. It's just that whenever I have a Newcastle defender they do nothing and when I take them out they get CS. Currently have no Newcastle defenders so it's good news for you if you keep Simpson.

Morning Lads, was away for the weekend so didn't see any of the weekend games. I'm on 35 with 5 players (including captain).. any good around here?

With my 2 free transfers, i'm thinking Silva & Moses -> Valencia & Sigurdsson

Yay/Nay? I'll probably do it today to catch price rises/falls..

It's amazing how much more confident and flowing United are in attack compared to City. Welbeck, Hernandez, Rooney, Valencia vs Balotelli, Aguero, Nasri, Yaya, Silva. City should be just as comfortable going forward looking at their players but United seem to have this knack of playing through teams with ease while City seem to stutter a bit.

1 assist in his last 5 games.

It seems rash but in FPL there is usually a point in the season where there is a sell point for every player.

(RvP an exception, and the only exception I think, this season).

If he's not getting returns, there's no point having over 10mill tied up in him.

He wasn't playing deep, he was playing where he has been for a while now, and in fact he had a higher average position than Hernandez.
Also, Rooney and Chico were the strikers, Welbeck played left wing.

It just happened naturally as the game progressed. Rooney was finding space in there so easily and it allowed him to play defence splitting passes through to Hernandez and Welbeck. Back to normal next week I reckon.
