With the dust finally settled from Gameweek 29, we can now reflect on how our remaining 16 fantasy managers in the Members Paddy Power Cup II came through their fifth round tie, and how they now pair off in the Last 16.

The full list of the 16 results can be viewed right here, which includes defeats for what were the top two-ranked contenders in the competition. Bob Fossil tasted a 52 – 45 defeat at the hands of Fuzzy Dunlop, and Daveclark85 succumbed 58 – 42 to howie_c.

That now makes 1,543rd in the world KevIRL our ‘favourite’ (which almost certainly signals imminent elimination). He’ll face Bend It Like Bennett in the sixth round.

Here are the eight fixtures that make up the Last 16…

1Bend It Like BennettVs.KevIRL
2Sleep TalkVs.mch
3Back to Back BallacksVs.Fuzzy Dunlop
4PablodVs.conor2me
5howie_cVs.rocket science
6petergriffVs.BilboBaggins
7Louie1Vs.followthehearts
8The LordVs.kno

Only two of the remaining Fantasy managers are ranked outside the top 30,000 and the luck of the draw has paired them together. Rank-outsider Padlod sits 100,096th overall, and has pulled out the best draw he could have hoped for in the 36,049th in the world, conor2me.

All fixtures to be played across Gameweek 30. Good luck to all involved!

i am regretting my transfert enrique>verm! i won t have enough money to make suarez>yak and surman walcott...
my team for this week end:
    vorm
    verm-skrtel-evans
    bale-valencia-siggy-surman
    suarez-rvp-rooney(c)

I´ve been burned twice by him so imo no, he won´t score 3 in row to make for those 4pt. will he?

If it´s for the rest of the season I say yes.

If you think he´´l do more than Kompany till the end of the season go for it, the man is on fire atm.. the downside is that I can´t see him bringing much more CS.

My (unpopular probably) opinion would be BAE as Spurs are going through a bit of a dip which be definition means leaking a few goals.

I'm likely to get hung out to dry by other people for this though!

I think it's really just that Fulham are exhausted. They've played sooo many games this season and they're starting to really look tired.

Your team is so identical to mine ( you should say vica-versa)
      enrique, vermaleen, kelly, mcclean, ba
      to
      skertel, bae, wheater, miyachi, suarez

And then we have an identical 15. Well on second thoughts, I guess 5 players is a pretty acceptable difference in teams.

    Hi Folks,

Due to getting 4 wisdom teeth yanked out later this evening in hospital. (Oh the joys......) I doubt I'll be in any fit state to be checking scouts picks later this evening/tomorrow morning.....

Should I use the WC this week or leave it for another GW. I'm the only one in the top ten of my mini league with a WC available. Currently chasing a 26 point lead.

Already used my free transfter this week to bring in Valencia.

    1.3 in the bank.

    Current team

    --------------- Vorm --- Mignolet --------------------

    J Evans --- Skrtel--- R Taylor --- Shotton --- Huth

    Dempsey --- McClean --- Valencia --- Silva --- Dyer

    ----- Graham --- Rooney --- RVP -----

Is it worth using WC to change it to this ? Will leave 0.1 in bank

    --------------- Vorm --- Mignolet --------------------

J Evans --- Skrtel--- Verm --- Shawcross--- Kelly

    Bale --- Walcott --- Valencia --- Siggy --- McClean

    ----- Graham --- Rooney --- RVP -----

    Cheers Folks

Allow Moses. Wigan have terrible fixtures. Any midfielder in the league is a better choice than him IMO.
Sess has some hard games coming up. Walcott is def a better option if you can find the cash for him.

I think Suarez is the 3rd best striker for FPL atm, but Odemwingie and Cisse are better options than Ba.

Or both and drop Pog, away at Utd doubt he'll do much.

Start Dempsey or Beausejour? Currently going with Beausejour.

Also Kompany (away at Stoke) or Shotton (at home to City)? Currently going with Kompany.

Beausejeour is playing away to - let's be fair - one of the better home defences in the league.

Kompany, simply because he cost you more.

Hoffenheim have confirmed they will listen to offers for Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The midfielder has indicated he would be open to prolonging his stay with the Welsh club, and now Hoffenheim have stated they would allow him to leave in the summer, having signed Sigurdsson from Reading in 2010.
Hoffenheim sporting director Ernst Tanner said in the Daily Star: "We have had no offers. But if someone sends something and it is in agreement with the player maybe it will be of interest. At this moment it is the wrong time for an offer."

Well it'd be pointless for them to try and hold onto him when he seems so happy and settled elsewhere. I hope he goes to Swansea on a permanent deal.

Firstly, Ernst Tanner got fired yesterday as sporting director of Hoffenheim, so it won't be his decision to make.

Secondly, it's my understanding that Swansea negotiated a purchase option for Sigurðsson at the end of his loan deal. The fixed price for this move would be a mere €4.5 million (plus outstanding instalment payments to Reading), which is less than Hoffenheim paid for the player in the first place.

Just saying he´s capable of that and much more.. as to rotation matters I think he is picking up pace and Silva is on the down side of his form...

That rotation problem is the same when you talk about Young, Nani and Valencia...

He is capable, he showed at Arsenal he can acquire a good points return.
At City so far, beyond the periodic high scoring anomaly, he hasn't managed much of anything. It also seems that City are trying to grind out results at the moment, when I watch them it doesn't seem like they're going to absolutely destroy another team. Additionally likes of Young, Nani & Valencia all have decent fantasy returns-history to help smooth out the risk of rotation.

If you're trying to make up ground on another player in your mini-league it could be a worthwhile risk but I'd leave it another week anyway. Stoke at home is not an easy game.

You know for the short term (which implies just this gw) if arsenal don't keep a clean sheet this week, you are effectively losing pts. So if yoau can wait for a week it would be better, but if you have other injuries/issues in your team, and as this is a long term solution, you could hit the confirm transfer.

You got unlucky and it all began in your captain choice...

Swansea is a mid-table club atm and playing good football, people should take that in account when making their choices in the near future...

As long as Rooney or RVP score well, it'll be big

All of those odds are shocking, to be fair.
