A pivotal Premier League game kicks off Gameweek 30, with Champions League qualification on the line. The Dugout Discussion opens as 5th placed Chelsea host 4th placed Tottenham. A rare win for the visitors today (no win at Stamford Bridge since 1990) would not only stop the rot, but also go a long way to sealing their berth in Europe’s elite competition. The team sheets from Stamford Bridge are in, and are as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Sturridge, Drogba.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Modric, Parker, Sandro, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor.

A host of changes for Chelsea sees Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres all dropped to the bench. In come Jose Bosingwa, captain John Terry, Daniel Sturridge and Didier Drogba.

Harry Redknapp is boosted by the return of Emmanuel Adebayor, who starts with Rafael Van der Vaart at the expense of Louis Saha. Elsewhere, William Gallas and Sandro replace Ledley King (not in squad) and Niko Kranjcar.

Following that we’ve got another seven games to pour over, finishing at the Britannia Stadium where Manchester City will be looking to go back to the summit of the league, if only for one night.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom will stay open throughout the day, and can be accessed right here.

Probably. Used my free this week so might take a hit to get Skrtel out. I want to wait until MOTD tonight to see if the Pool defence is really as bas as BBC text commentary made out.

After watching the game it isnt as bad as people make out and i think you have already missed the rsenal clean sheet streak. Enrique the past 3 months has reminded me of why i hated ( minus the d if you wish) ferdinand at the start/ middle of his carear. Everyone sucks his dick but can he not keep concentration for 90 mins as a good defender has to

    On last pagee

    REPOST..please reply guys….only got 1 reply yet..

Any ideas to do with my team for next GW, please?

    Schwarzer-Mignolet
    Skrtel-Evans-BAE-Caulker-McAuley
    Dempsey-Valencia-Walcott-Sigurdsson-Surman
    Drogba-RVP-Rooney

    Thinking :

    Drogba>Jelavic and Surman>Bale or VDV.

Will then be left with 0.0 or 0.1M in bank.-

Nice transfers? Or do you have something else to suggest? 🙂

I think Isacki's impending win over shipsontrev today will help me go into the last round absolutely tension free and allow me to take a hit aswell.. 😀

I'd love to take the top spot though.. 🙂

Exactly.. on form we could have easily beaten them away as well..

But if we keep up this form and the tremendous pressing, I see no reason we couldnt beat them at the Emirates as well..

And I was hoping Arsene rests Kos for the next 2 to avoid a ban and thankfully he did..

Its all in our hands now..

You've missed the BAE boat due to his price rise. Baines, if you've got the cash floating about. I'm lacking foresight other than that - maybe Turner with his goal threat.

      Maybe keep Skrtel?

On the one hand, Verm and Baines have burnt me and are perhaps overpriced. On the other, they mightily tempt me and you can't hold grudges in this game. To paraphrase Churchill: "I'm open minded, but not to the extent my brain falls out".
