Premier League champions Manchester United close out Gameweek 30 at home to Fulham. With a seemingly routine opportunity to open a three-point gap over city rivals, the Dugout Discussion opens to witness the potential fantasy points feast.

The team news for the clash at Old Trafford is in. Here is how the two sides line-up…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Rafael, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney, Young, Welbeck.

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, JA Riise, Hangeland, Hughes, Diarra, Dempsey, Pogrebnyak, Duff, Frei, Dembele.

Sir Alex makes two changes from the eleven that battered Wolves last week, with Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young replacing Paul Scholes and Javier Hernandez respectively.

Three changes for the visitors with Aaron Hughes, Kerim Frei and Damian Duff coming in for Philippe Senderos, Andrew Johnson and Bryan Ruiz.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Your team is pretty strong, tough to advise without knowing your leader's team.

It isn't too late, not at all, to make up 45 points. 2 or 3 good weeks over him should/could see to that. Captaincy will be important - picking yours and predicting his.

No not at all. This is the last time that we are gonna have different teams. In Semis the teams are so similar. I will lose something like 0.3m. That is nothing IMO

GOmez. CR7 and Benzema in my strike force and 5m more than everybody else for the rest of the team. If I can use it wisely those 5m I think it will pay off.

That strikeforce looks really good. But let's say you want Messi back for the SF. You will need to strip players down to raise the £5m to afford Messi again right?

if cr7/benzema fail on day1, everybody will captain messi on day 2
who are you going to captain for day 2? if messi scores a cople it will really hurt you.

Not much in it really. I think Evans is ever so slightly more likely to keep a clean sheet.

If lots of people in your league are going to double on Newcastle defence play Simpson as insurance, if not, bench him as I think Liverpool will score.

I just replied to your comment on the other page, but I don't think so, basically no one is safe as farms I can tell.

Didn't ENR say that H2H goal difference doesn't count in the H2H record? So as we're tied 1-1 if level on points it will go to overall GD, not H2H GD. Or am I wrong there?

The way I was thinking about it was:

If you win and Fuzzy wins, you and he will go through due to Fuzzy's 2-0 win over Flynn
If you and I win then you and Flynn go through as he has me beat 2-0
If Flynn and I win then it comes down to GD between you and I.
If Flynn and Fuzzy win then you and Flynn go through?

The only change to that would be if H2H GD does apply then I would definitely be out as I couldn't then go above you by winning

I know the h2h gd does not apply if three teams are tied. But if two teams are tied then I think it is applied.
See if we Team A, Team B, Team C, h2h does not apply as we could have
        team a 2-0 team b, team b 2-0 team a, team c 2-0 team a.
But if only two teams are tied then h2h is counted and usually h2h gd. it's kinda vague in enr's rules. I will find out in the deadzone tomorrow.

Here's the standard procedure for qualification in-:
UEFA Champions League group stage: 1. Head to head points, 2. Head to head goal difference, 3. Away goals between tied teams, 4. Goal difference, 5. Goals scored

Right, okay, so it only comes down to GD if all 4 ended up tied, which can't now happen.

Well if that is the same as ENR's rules (which were slightly altered to better fit an FF version) then I'm definitely out due to my H2H records against you and Flynn.

One BP for RVP last week would've had us drawing 😛

Sorry to cut in guys....I am reading the rules and it is unclear. I have been wondering my self.

below is from the CL link

"If 2 teams are level on points after the final group match then the h2h record (win/loss) between them will determine who qualifies for the knockout phase. If all 4 teams are tied on the same points after the final group match the Points Difference (GD) will come into play, as it effectively takes into account all the matches."

It was that imprecision that made me unsure, as so far me and Pratik are the only sides to have drawn overall in our H2Hs (at least in win/loss terms)

I can qualify with a victory....but need some help.

1st place is locked up in my pool.

it is a toss up between 2nd and 3rd. Believe it or not, h2h between 2nd and 3rd is exactly equal. He beat me by 5 at home & i beat him by 5 at home.

Ok then, I’m ready to sell off at least part of my lame-ass Liverpool defenders. 0.5 in bank

    Skrtel 6.3 could turn into:

    A) Vermaelen (6.8) leaving no money – great short term fixtures
    B) BAE (6.3) – great fixtures over remainder, form not quite as great right now, break-even on money
    C) Cahill (5.3) – lesser fixtures, but cheaper and good form, lets me invest elsewhere

Here’s the squad prior to this move.

    Hart (Ruddy)
    JEvans, Caulker, Kelly, JoseEnrique, Skrtel
    Bale, Dempsey, Walcott, Siggy, Barfa
    RVP, Roo, Pog

Thoughts? Not much response from the early evening crowd.

I'd go C) ... but my defensive picks have been dire of late.

Verm's all right, but will Kos be back? And Arse never really watertight - although they're fighting for everything right now. I don't love how no money leaves you for future changes, though.

BAE - trading him after the Tot DGW has been a disaster for me. He's all over the ball, but offensively Tot have been poo - which puts added strain on the def.

Cahill has been getting better and better - though rotation might claim him. But, I'm thinking, what is the priority right now for Chels? I have to think a top 4 place is bigger than the CL - as no one in their right mind would rate them as likely to beat Barca. So, he might be reserved for the PL matches ... plus he leaves you with cash for many options down the road.

Thanks, I really like having cash on hand as well, even though I'm fairly comfortable with the rest of my team right now having done extensive recent overhaul. I don't typically trust Arse defense, but they are playing some really lousy teams coming up, and should see some good results. But then, I was just saying that a few weeks ago before I doubled up on Liverpool defenders.

I agree with the quality of your team - almost too much so. Tough to bench players each week.

At least Cahill gives you cash, and if you bench/RDM benches him, it won't hurt much. Short-term sees Ares play City ... not fantastic.

          It's a toughie, that's for sure.

Thanks for thoughts, I hadn't really considered him as cheaper Spur, too much, probably just caught him looking bad a few times when I had watched them. I really try to guide my picks by quality of play, not just by their numbers. Paying off so far. 🙂

Ba -> Cisse worth a 4pt hit or stick with him?

Overall, it really looks like Pardew has offense set up differently since Cisse came in and he is now the focal point. That said, Ba could just as easily have put up double digit points with a couple of goals and baps. Cisse is getting all of the love right now and will probably score more points over remainder, unless formation changes, but I don't know that I would take a points hit to make that move. (But the price will go up this week and if you are tight on money, you may need to jump)

Ba is far to deep nowadays. So its worth it imo.

If you can swallow any price changes, maybe hold off for a couple of games. You would probably want to bench your toon striker against swansea away. Do it after that. Can't see Ba outscoring cisse for the rest of the season.

    Vorm (Ruddy)
    Verm Evans BAE Caulker Kelly
    Dempsey Bale Young Sess McClean
    Ba RVP Rooney

Have already done one transfer to get Verm in this week. But considering playing my WC so i dont take any hits and do the following:

    Young -> Valencia,
    Ba -> Cisse
    Sess -> Walcott
This makes sure I have people playing for the long term and have players playing in GW 34.
What do you think? Any other changes?

Young is such a waste of money.
Skrtel is no good any more, change to verm or a spurs defender.
Surman -> Barfa might be a gd diff.
Hope the Yak starts playing or change him to Cisse.

    Ladies and gets,

how does Myiachi & Aguero to Walcott & Cisse (NEW) sound?

Team is in link. Aguero, Skrtel and Suarez are my most pressing concerns, but Suarez has got 2 ass and a goal in his last 2, more than I can say for Mr Aguero. I also have Silva but I like the idea of having him as a differential, at this transfer rate I will be the only one in my minileague who has stuck with Bale, Silva and Demps!

    All thoughts welcome, thanks!

Ryo's been gold and Aguero *must* come good for City to have a chance. I can't foresee 'Pool outscoring City until week 38. I'd work on Skrtel.

Re: Ryo... two assists in four and a half matches isn't bad, but not quite the second coming either. Yeah, he's cheap, but forthcoming fixtures are a bit tougher than QPR and Blackburn at home.

    Guys,

I'm upgrading my defence but can't decide who should have priority:

    Vorm>Hart
    Santon>Cahill
    Enrique>Verm/Kosh
    Kelly>TOT/EVE

    What do you think?

Not being in England, I ask honest question of how reliable a source that newspaper typically is? It seems that they've been overly speculative when it comes to transfers, but I really don't follow it enough to judge reliably.

The daily mail's sport section is filled with whatever rumours they have dredged up from obscure corners of the Internet, don't trust it 😉

It sparked everyone on here into a panic the other week with an unsubstantiated Bale injury, and most of its transfer gossip is just plain wrong.

And don't get me started on the rabid right wing editorial of the news section.

But rant over, I don't trust the daily mail as a source, but it's fair to say that Kompany is doubtful 😛

    Squad:

    Vorm, Schwarzer
    Jevans, Enrique, Caulker, Komps, Raylor
    Valencia, Bale, McClean, Siggy, Dempsey
    Pog, Ba, RVP

1 FT, 4.0 in the bank.

48 points ahead of my rival, he has Roonpig.

Thinking of dropping Ba or Raylor/Enrique, but for who? Can't afford Rooney unless I take a 4 pointer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
