Emmanuel Adebayor is a considerate soul. The on loan Tottenham striker is currently rebuilding a school and creating two new hospitals in his native Togo, where he has also rather kindly given up his home to 100 orphans.

It’s not just back in his home country where his generosity is attracting attention. Back in the Premier League, Adebayor is a striker who just can’t stop giving. Time and time again this season, the striker has pulled out some surprise points hauls to lift the spirits of the 9.3% of Fantasy managers who have acquired his services.

With a total of 147 points, he is the joint-fourth top striker in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Adebayor has proven to be both goalscorer and provider in almost equal measure; 11 goals has impressed, while 12 assists is more than any other forward this season. He’s hoovered up the bonus points too, with his current haul of 21 fourth best for frontmen.

The 9.0 priced striker has been capable of explosive returns this term, too. Adebayor has produced four double digit weekly points hauls to date and is also a member of an elite club of players that have smashed the 20 point barrier in a gameweek, with a score of 21 in the Gameweek 25 five-goal hammering of Newcastle also hinting at a blossoming relationship with fellow on-loan striker Louis Saha.

With this excellent track record, it’s no surprise to see us turn our attentions to Adebayor as Tottenham begin their charitable set of fixtures from now until the end of the season. Today’s confirmation of a double Gameweek 36 for Harry Redknapp’s side means the Togo international has (SWA, sun, NOR, blank, qpr, BLA & bol) in the next six, with the trip to Sunderland the only potential pitfall, while the double against Blackburn and Bolton is surely set to see plenty investment come his way.

There are caveats. He can have a tendency to appear to wander in games and barely make a shot on goal, though sometimes his lethargic swagger can mask his hard work. Adebayor is still amongst the very top strikers in the Premier League in terms of attempts on goal and passing in the opposition half, though the fact that he has failed to score more than 2 points on twelve occasions will worry his would-be investors.

With Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie’s form making them arguably undroppable, Adebayor is a relatively expensive addition to many mangers’ frontlines but, as a first-choice forward in a top-four team, with spot-kicks also in the bag, the 9.0 price tag has still proven to be strong value.

As Spurs returned to winning ways in the 3-1 FA Cup defeat of Bolton in midweek, the London outfit could be set to take advantage of their obliging run of fixtures as they hunt down Arsenal in the chase for third; Adebayor could prove to be a key acquisition over the remainder of the season as the race between the north London rivals heats up.

Managers lie. And even if he gets only 30 mins, he could carve an injury-hit Sunderland to pieces. He's one of the few world-class strikers in the Premier League.

I would fully agree with you if Tevez was around the price range of Ballotelli, but we're talking about Tevez at 11.7. That's huge. And he is nowhere near the same bracket as RVP or Rooney.

Am I went to be considering getting both Miyaichi and Wheather for Bolton's 2DGW. Or just do McClean--->Ryo in time for GW35?

Also what is going on with Taiwo? I can field 10 in GW34 if he plays, or worth switching him to McAuley to save me a bit of trouble in time for GW34?

Lads - looking to bring in a budget striker to replace Holt. Have narrowed it down to three options:

    Crouch
    Pogrebynak
    Jelavic

Which do ye think is best punt to end of season?

      Jelavic and consider Cisse also.

I am having the same Dilemma between those two

Cheers Gunners - Cisse's fixtures put me off a bit, but I'm trying to work out which one is capable of a big score. Jelavic seems to be the safer option, but Pogre or Cisse are a bit tempting with big GWs recently. Tricky week this one.

EUROPA League Final Group Matches - Preview

    Group I

A poster book for the phrase looks can be deceiving. The group originally christened 'Animal Farm' appears, at first glance be very open, with 2 sides on 9 points and 2 on 6. The reality, however, is very different. Group leader Rebeldogg's impressive GD, mostly garnered in matchday 2's drubbing on this weekend's opponent Mull, coupled with Mull's H2H record vs JK makes these 2 overwhelming favourites whilst JK and Dudu can do nothing except try and win their match-up by as big a score as possible.

Atheltico Madrid (JK) vs Rennes (Dudu) In what may end up being a battle simply to avoid the wooden spoon JK and Dudu square off as they both look to sign off with a win. Dudu starts the stronger with a heavy win over Mull following a win over Rebeldogg. JK has gone in the opposite direction, with 2 wins being followed by 3 narrow defeats that leave the early favourite with it all to do. JK hasn't helped himself with a 4 point hit that has wiped out his home advantage. He will be hoping though that bringing in the Verminator and Walcott for Young and Taiwo will help him on. For Dudu, well I wish I could tell you but I suspect that at least one of the QPR pair of Zamora and Taiwo has departed, although with Caulker unavailable and Glen Johnson doubtful, Taiwo may have been reprieved.

    Predicted Line-Ups

Athletico - Schwarzer, Evans, Skrtel, Verm, Siggy, Bale, Walcott, Dempsey, Rooney, RvP, Yak

Rennes - Hart, Evans, Sagna, Johnson, Bale, Valencia, Barfa, Walcott, Rooney, Yak, Cisse

Key Battle - Verm v Sagna, Dempsey v Barfa and RvP v Cisse/Zamora will decide this one I feel, though Dudu's Joe Hart may be his ace in the hole.

Prediction - Dudu to forfeit and JK to be awarded an automatic 100 point victory πŸ˜‰ I wish. Home Win

Udinese (Mull) v Celtic (Rebeldogg) Mull will no doubt be out for revenge after the humiliation he suffered at the hands of group leader Rebeldogg back in matchday 2. The maths here is simple, winner wins the group, a draw will do for Rebeldogg, even a loss may be enough given the size of his victory in the first meeting. For Udinese I anticipate the departure of Demba Ba to Jelavic. For Celtic no changes look on the card, although if one has been made I expect Skrtel or Senderos to have departed.

    Predicted Line-Ups

Udinese - Reina, Evans, Kelly, Skrtel, Valencia, Bale, Siggy, Dempsey, Rooney, RvP, Jelavic

Celtic - Krul, Verm, Kelly, Evans, Valencia, Siggy, Bale, Dempsey, Rooney, RvP, Suarez

Key Battle - Virtually the same teams here, Celtic may even start Skrtel. It is a straight shootout between Suarez and Jelavic. Of course Krul v Reina could be crucial, and Rebeldogg may hope for a Krul penalty save from someone other than Suarez.

Verdict - Narrow home win, but both sides to go through, leaving yours truly embarrassed an out, despite never being thrashed (unlike every other member of this group)
