Stoke vs Everton Date Confirmed

The Stoke City vs Everton clash, postponed due to Everton’s FA Cup semi-final involvement, has been rescheduled for Tuesday May 1. As expected, this shifts the encounter to Gameweek 36, adding to the double fixtures already present.

The Fantasy Premier League game have added the fixture to the Gameweek – our Season Tickers will be updated accordingly very shortly.

The picture for Gameweek 36 is now clear: Stoke, Everton, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Fulham and Bolton all enjoy two fixtures having endured blank fixtures in Gameweek 34. Bolton also have a double fixture in Gameweek 35 when they face Aston Villa.

We will be devising a guide to potential strategies for the blanks in Gameweek 34 and the double fixtures in Gameweek 36 for publish later this week.

    possibly stating the obvious here but this is my thought for gw34. (this is hypothetical example if you only have 8 players for gw34)
    tactic 1 = use your free to make it 9 players and stick. or if you have 2 frees 10 and stick.
    tactic 2 = take hits to get 11 players.

    with tactic 1 your 10th and 11th players essentially have 4 points (relative to tactic 2). in addition you've held onto guys who have a dgw afterwards. with tactic 2 you need your players to score 4 to break even whilst also losing a dgw player/players.
    tactic 2 can pay off of course but you really have to nail it. there are plenty of other sub-plots like maybe the guys you'd get rid of have dgw you don't really fancy for example, or they have a dgw you do fancy but would rather have a different option from that team.
    i think tactic 1 has plenty of merits, especially if you have no WC available. it just may not look like it at the time as you're not fielding a full side.

      All true, it depends which fixtures you like though, personally I think Sess could be worth a hit for GW34. Sadly I have no Sess sized spot in my team so shall just go with 10 players in GW34

      Whatever plans you have for those gameweeks is bound to go tits up when players get injured/rotated/suspended.

      Additionally, if you want 11 playing in GW34 then you really need more than 11 players to guarantee it.

    So I only have 8 players who can play in gw 34.

      Kelly to Caulker is a no brainer...just do that now.

      Dempsey to Walcott (or another heavyweight) is the million dollar question for us Dempsey owners.

      Real mix run for Dempsey, away, home to chelsea, blank, Wigan at home, two tough away fixture in the double.

      Walcott is a steady eddy during that period and can be switched to VDV perhaps in the double.

      Very tempting to ditch Dempsey this week or next, even if it does sound like a mental strategy.

        The Dempsey conundrum continues, but i'm certainly shipping to a cheapie to go alongside Siggy, Tony V, Walcott & Bale then do Walcott to VDV for the double.

        Kelly out 100%. Dempsey is more dicey. I already own Walcott so I think its best I keep Dempsey and hope he can repeat last years feats. If you don't own Walcott and need to make room for him then getting rid isn't crazy bad or anything.

      I'd be getting rid of both if I wasn't stuck without a keeper in GW34! That said I am getting shot of Schwarzer so I suppose it's the same sort of thing.

      Am sadly looking to drop Demps too, I feel he has goals left in him but can't afford to keep him with my other plans. Fixtures are against him and I feel it'd be too much of a sentimentally motivated move to keep him.

    If Rooney/Valencia gets subbed or gets a 'stupid' injury in warmup, I will win my h2h so yes I'm praying for that too.

    But as of now this is the most likely scenario in group G of Elnino's UCL

    With my current team I don't tyhink its optimal to even try and field 11 in GW34 as only a hit would get me there. Going with 10 in 34 and 8 DGWers in GW36. Hoping this will give me an edge over those who chose to take hits just to fill out their numbers.

        I think if your chasing its worth it to go all out for the DGW as its a good chance to make up ground but I'm not ready to take crazy chances yet unless something changes drastically in the next few weekss.

    I think I've arrived at a stage in the season where I could benefit from doing RVP > P.Cisse.

    RVP has been amazing all season obviously and although he's probably still got one or two big hauls to come I genuinely feel that the money could really boost my squad in other areas. I'd be getting Walcott in anyway if I did that so would have Arsenal cover but with Citeh and Chelsea in the next 4 I can't see myself missing out on any points, Especially as Newcastle have good fixtures.

    Any opinions?

      Personally I have more faith in Arsenal, Utd, City Swansea and S'land players getting more points in 90mins considering their respective fixtures in GW34, than some of the dross people are considering for GW36 will get in 180mins

      Unless you've got a wildcard it's basically the same as they all have 2 games at some point. It could be worth a couple of hits to get in some Che/Tot players as the dgw can easily negate the hits.

      It won't matter anyway, as the game(s) cancelled will be rearranged for midweek as all GW38 games have to be played at the same time with no outstanding fixtures.

    Why are people on about using there WCs on GW35? Makes no sense to me. Not many Bolton or Villa players are worth getting and if you plan right you can have a the couple you want anyway.

    Dempsey is Captain material GW35 V Wigan and spreads the risk of having 3 Spurs attacker, would allow a Spurs defender. VDV has by far the better Double fixtures and is just explosive. The other option is to have both at the expense of playing Siggy Sess or RVP for probably a hit?

    What are McClean owners doing for GW34? With plans to do Reina>Migs this week I am contemplating doing Dempsey>Sess for gw34 and doubling up on Sunderland in midfield. Having McClean and Sess servered me quite well for a few weeks earlier in the season!
