We’ve had the ball in for an examination – we’ve screened it for fibres from Hatem Ben Arfa’s boots and we can now reveal that the results were inconclusive. The forensics proved nothing – Quincy has let us down.

As you may have guessed, last weekend’s events at the Sports Direct Arena and the Fantasy Premier League’s assist ruling provides the topic of discussion for this week’s ScoutCast. Wrapped around that, Mark and I throw in the usual regulars and I try my best to keep my chin up throughout, despite the widening mini-league gap.

Bring this week’s episode in for an examination via this link. Or stream the evidence from the handy player below.

Dont wanna double on swansea defense! Should i start?

    Bogdan and Caulker
    Or
    Vorm and Simpson

Take into account i have Siggy + Cisse already in that match!

    Guys,
    Need your help,

The ones to go are suarez and demps,

    Should I get:
    1. Walcott and bendtner (have 11players for gw 34)
    2. Ade and keep dempsey (10players and transfer saved)
    3 bendtner and sess (11players)
4 ade and keep demps (9players, and transfer saved)

Generally the problem is whether to field 11 players on gw 34 or start thinkin about gw 36 instead,

    Thx

What about Bendtner and keeping Dempsey? I still think RVP is enough offensive cover for Arsenal's fixtures. Demps is quite consistent and he has WIG (H), a DGW and SUN (H) after gw34

      SWA CS 3.30
      ARS CS 3.85
, but Sagna is slightly bigger goal/assist threat so it's really 50/50. I'd say - play Sagna if you have Vorm else play Caulker.

Corrigan, respect your views, so curious what you think (and anyone else!):

I’m trying to work out whether it’s better to

    A) Get Cisse in for gw 33 – though I’d have a headache on who to bench of my front 8 – and have 4 defenders in my 10 playing in gw34.

    B) Get Bendtner in for gw34, with 3 defenders in my 10 players, and then ditch him for Cisse for gw35 ?

    C) Not bother getting Cisse at all

Not sure if you respect my views, but here they are anyway...

Sorry, yes, that was a bizarre way of phrasing my question. I respect all views - I just know that Corrigan has been doing plentiful research into the whole dgw phenomenon, and imagine he's got it all worked out in his head. Wish I had it worked out in mine...

B is my current plan, and seems unanimous on here as the best option - was just put off by the thought of spending a precious transfer on bloody Bendtner for a one week punt!

Tough one that, i am in a similar position with 2 to play from Caulker, Vermaelen and Kaboul. At the moment i am playing Kaboul and Vermaelen but that could still change. I think all will concede so i have gone with the goal threat.

I'm about to commit an FPL sin -- 2 free transfers and I'm not making a transfer. I'm letting it ride for another GW.
The reason is that I don't want to unbalance my squad, and I have a wildcard up my sleeve for GW 35 or 36.

I'll see how the land lies on Sunday evening. Bobby Z is first sub, just in case.

I've currently got 10 for 34, will be 11 next week when i do Dempsey > Walcott.

          Mignolet

          Walcott McClean Sigurdsson Valencia
          Rooney RVP

          Krul
          Kaboul Cole Baines
          McClean Sigurdsson Bale Mata?

Just the 4 point hit in GW36 to do Walcott/Valencia > Mata or another DGW player. Still not sure i'll do that yet though.

I might lose Suarez for Cisse next week depending on how he gets on, i'll have 2 frees so either way, my plan won't change.

Not sure McClean > Sessegnon is worth the transfer? Not a lot between them.

Its between Suarez/Cisse next week for me depending on Suarez performance this week. As you have McClean, I would just keep and use transfer elsewhere.

I personally think setting a good team up for GW34 having Swansea/Sunderland/Arsenal players who you could also play 36 allows you to field a good side 36 without taking unecessary hits.

eg. Sess (BOL) could easily outscore Dempsey (eve/liv)

Same here, purely because most rivals could be caught out by GW 34 meaning they will either field less players or take hits to field more, so if you plan right, you could make up some ground.

Tempted by Cech for gw36 - anyone else thinking along these lines? Would get him in for Krul (funded by Rooney -> Ade) and mean I could play Simpson that week without worry over doubling on Newc defence.

Oh Jim, just relating to your Bendtner query. I think those who don't already have Cisse have missed the oppurtunity until after the blank (unless there's a bench spot reserved). So bringing in Bendtner 34 (for Jelly in my case) seems a sensible strategy. Don't forget, you'd have him for a couple of weeks as he has Villa away in 35.

This Cech query seems like your butchering your team. Without a WC less is more for me (though see what others say, obviously).

What about the Bendy rotation rumours? If Bendy was going to get dropped over Easter it would likely be WOL? TOT eve WOL the first 2 scream first choice but with only a days rest inbetween he could be rested for one of these, guess its a waiting game but if he plays both I would be worried about bringing him in. Yak/Odem are other options.

I'd rather get Cisse straight in for gw35 though, so Bendy would last just the single week. Stoke at home.

And it's not really butchering my team. Was thinking of losing Rooney anyway - Man Utd should have the title in the bag, and I want a Cisse, Ade, RVP front line for gw36.

    Baines, Evans, Skrtel
    Bale, Valencia, Siggy, McClean
    Rooney(c), RVP, Crouch

    Krul, Ryo, Verm, Shotton

I'm struggling with the bench this week, Ryo has FUL, Vermaelen is Vermaelen and Shotton has WOL. Should I make any sub changes?

Can't see an Arsenal clean sheet, Man City have to score.
None of your midfield is droppable for Ryo.

9-10 quality players in GW34 is better than playing players who will only score 1-2. Depends on what balance you want for GW36. Problem is that injures could occur to your DGW players in GW35 & you don't get the benefit of them. I'd rather the points in GW34 & take a hit or 2 if necessary come GW36.
