Easter provides us with a double haul of Premier League action over the next six days. With barely enough time to enjoy the weekend feast, Fantasy managers will be casting aside their bad eggs before the second helping of fixtures begin on Monday. In lieu of the usual Flutter this week, Paddy have obliged us with a double set of odds to tuck in to, so, in kind, we’re upping the ante…

Newcastle fans have had plenty to cheer this season, not least the form of Demba Ba, who eased the pain of losing Andy Carroll by notching goals against all opposition as Alan Pardew’s side chase an unlikely European spot. Right now, however, Ba has taken a step back and allowed compatriot Papiss Cisse to come to the fore. Cisse has racked up seven goals in as many games, without completing a full 90 minutes, and will be looking to add another to the tally at Swansea in this afternoon’s Easter opener. Paddy included the Newcastle man in their goalscoring treble with Cisse, Van Persie and Rooney at 7/1 to all score over their first set of Easter fixtures. With 54 goals between them, we’ll gladly open our account with a fiver on this one.

After the tragic heart condition that struck Fabrice Muamba at White Hart Lane in March, Bolton’s form has gone from strength to strength, belying doubts that they could struggle following the abandoned quarter final. Martin Petrov has played a significant role in this recent success, both as provider and goalscorer. Paddy are offering a lofty 14/1 for Petrov to score and Bolton to keep a clean sheet at home to Fulham in their first Easter fixture. Although Bolton have won their last three, they have also been conceding, so £1 is risk enough for us here.

Antonio Valencia has been on fire of late, and although pundits questioned the intent for his deadlock breaker against Blackburn on Monday night, nobody could deny he produced another electric performance. Paddy are playing odds on Valencia close to their chest after his productive spell, offering 100/30 on a Valencia assist and clean sheet for United against QPR. A lot of risk for little reward, but with £14 in the kitty to spend over this weekend, a cheeky £1.50 still leaves us with plenty to play with.

Check back on Monday morning to see how we got on and for more odds on Leighton Baines, Gareth Bale and man of the moment Papiss Cisse.

Money Back Specials

Talking of Cisse, Paddy have lined up the in-form striker to be the subject of their first Money Back Special for the opening Easter fixture. If Papiss Cisse scores the last goal in the clash with Swansea, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match up to a value of £100. They’ve got a similar deal on Peter Crouch in the Stoke vs Wolves clash.

In Sunday’s games, Paddy are offering refund options if there are five or more goals in the Man United vs QPR clash. Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match up to a value of £100. You can get the same deal should there be five goals in the Arsenal vs City clash at the Emirates.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    i really dont want to sell dempsey for seggeson, is it madness to sell bale, and miss out on his one explosive week in four, for some like seggeson/dempsey midfield scoring more consisent points?

      I sold demps for sess and i'm not the only one. Bale is one of the must have's for the rest of the season so you can't sell him. Bale generally has been playing well and i'd have their fixtures above anyones for the rest of the season. it's not just about today.

      I would leave that transfer this week.

      I think sess and demps have equal scoring potential going into this GW. BAle has a decent run after this GW (exc the blank)

      See what happens and re-a"sess" on Sunday.

          I'm in the same situation and at the moment I've decided to stick with Dempsey for the next 2 at least. Possible rotation at Sunderland worries me even if Sess is probably immune to it. Spurs at home and Everton away aren't exactly the easiest of fixtures either.

          I'll get Sess in for GW34 but no just yet I think.

          P.S. This could all change in the next hour.

        he may rotate in defence, out wide and in centre-mid but he will start Rooney every week, it'd be madness not to when you only have the Pl to play for. You can rest him when it's won.

    Sorry for the repost, but could really use your opinion on this;

    I'm 25p behind in my mini league, and there are huge money at stake. Should I play it safe, or field the players I know he doesn't have? If so I had to field either Moses and Mcauley instead of Yaya...!

    Team is;
    Bogdan
    Enrique - Caulker - Evans
    Yaya - Bale - Valencia - Siggy
    RvP - Suarez - Rooney (c)

    Bench: Scwartzer - Moses - Richards - McAuley.

    The players I have that he doesn't have are; Scwartzer, Enrique, Caulker, McAuley, Moses and Suarez.

    Is everybody else used to the new layout of FPL, and actually starting to like it? I find it alright now.

        Forgot about them!!

        I hated the new layout to begin with. Obviously the PPI/bonus point is the biggest negative change, haven't seen someone who prefers it (even though I do love stats).

      Even though RVP is awesome. Rooney is at home to QPR. Massive pitch with Valencia supplying crosses. QPR not best defense in league.

          Ah but we're not talking about points. We're talking about who is more likely to score, the guy playing for the team pushing to win the title against a team with a sketchy defence (especially away) or the guy who has become less of a goal threat (perhaps due to tiredness?) against a team who have to win to keep themselves in the race. 😉 I still think Valencia is the best call of them all.

    So done my transfer of Silva -> Sess for the week. Team looks really good on paper but cue up another disaster! Have I got it right?

    GK: Vorm

    DEF: Evans - Skrtel - Cahill

    MID: Walcott - Sess - Valencia - Siggy - Bale

    FWD: Rooney (C) - RVP

    BENCH: Schwarzer - Jelavic - Caulker - Santon
