The Easter eggs are only half-eaten, yet here we are again. With the Gameweek 33 deadline approaching at 11.30am tomorrow, it’s time to roll out another XI from the Scout Picks Selection Committee. Newcastle and United are firmly backed, while Everton also feature strongly in light of the Toffees’ recent form:

Tim Krul gets the nod between the posts ahead of tomorrow’s home showdown with Bolton. The Magpies keeper has been in sparkling form, conceding just a single goal in the last four Gameweeks and, with the Trotters failing to score in four of their last five on the road, a clean for Alan Pardew’s side is more than a distinct possibility.

This afternoon’s 2-0 triumph over QPR added yet another clean sheet to Jonny Evans’ recent tally. That’s five in a row now for Evans as United’s defence continues to prove profitable for Fantasy managers. A trip to Wigan should hold no fear for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side and with the Latics scoring just four times in the last six at the DW, Evan’s looks likely to pick up the points yet again.

With just a single goal conceded in their last five at Goodison, Everton’s recent home form has proven to be particularly reliable. No surprise, then, to see us give Leighton Baines the nod ahead of a home clash against Sunderland. While the Black Cats have produced the goods at home, they have failed to score in three of their last six on the road and, with set-piece and penalty duties also capable of boosting the left-back’s returns, Baines’ owners will be confident going into tomorrow afternoon’s match.

A home game with West Brom brings Vincent Kompany into this Gameweek’s line-up. City will clearly be devastated after today’s result but their Etihad form is unlikely to be troubled by Roy Hodgson’s side; the Baggies have netted just once in their last three on the road and looks set to afford City the perfect pick-me-up in light of their Emirates defeat.

With Steven Pienaar cup-tied for Everton’s semi-final with Liverpool, the South African looks certain to turn out in Monday’s Goodison encounter with Sunderland. Pienaar has shone in recent weeks, notching back-to-back assists in Everton’s last two league outings. The Black Cats will provide stern opposition for David Moyes’ men but we feel Pienaar could be the key figure, particularly if the Everton boss rests striker Nikica Jelavic ahead of the weekend meet with Liverpool.

Having scored in his last two league outings, Theo Walcott drew a blank in the 1-0 win over City but nonetheless remains pivotal as the Gunners look to seal third place. Like so many midfielders in the Gameweek, Walcott could suffer from rotation for the trip to Wolves on Wednesday but with Arsenal playing their Gameweek 34 fixture next Monday, there’s every chance that Walcott will be given another opportunity to add to his recent goal tally when Arsenal pay visit to the basement club.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is a must for a Swansea away day. Having scored all six of his league goals on the road, the graceful Icelander remains a top Fantasy target for the Swans’ visit to Loftus Road. Sigurdsson maintained his recent form with another display bristling with goal threat in Friday’s defeat to Newcastle and, despite drawing a blank, showed enough for us to back him to keep his start for the R’s clash and provide the cutting edge for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Clint Dempsey’s brace at Bolton will have frustrated many Fantasy managers, having previously provided such disappointment on the road. Shifted to a striker’s role in the absence of ankle injury victim Pavel Pogrebnyak, Dempsey’s two strikes proved devastating and take him into the local derby with Chelsea brimming with confidence. With Pogrebnyak still struggling to overcome his knock, Dempsey looks set to lead the line and the threat for Martin Jol’s side in Monday’s clash.

Bolton’s visit to the Sports Direct Arena hands Papiss Cisse another chance to plunder the Fantasy points. The Newcastle forward’s incredible run of six goals in the last three games has Fantasy managers queuing up in their thousands to get in on the action – a price rise of 0.8 since Gameweek 30 is indicative of the show of faith. With the Magpies gunning for their fifth straight win, Owen Coyle’s side have an unenviable task ahead tomorrow, given Cisse’s irresistible form.

When you’ve gone four games without a goal, the best possible remedy is a showdown with Wolves. Robin Van Persie and on-form Arsenal now roll up to Molineux and, with the midlands outfit shipping an average of three goals per game since Terry Connor’s installation, the Gunners skipper is surely set to profit once again on Wednesday evening.

Wayne Rooney’s trip to Wigan is impossible to overlook. While Cisse has been lauded for his form, the United forward has been almost as reliable, notching nine times in his last nine games as the champions edge ever-closer to retaining their title. With an eight-point gap now established at the top, Sir Alex Ferguson will be determined to go for goals once again – United have averaged three goals per game over their last five away fixtures and the Latics are likely to afford them plenty chances for further attacking returns.

While Peter Crouch is doing all he can to squeeze his lofty frame onto England’s Euro 2012 plane, Stoke have scored just two goals in their last six away league outings. With that in mind, and having seen Villa defend like lions at Anfield, we’ve opted for James Collins for the defensive role on the bench. Always a magnet for impressive performance statistics, Collins will be integral to keeping Stoke at arms length on Monday night.

QPR’s Adel Taarabt claims the place on our bench for the midfield role. The Moroccan has come to the fore in recent home matches and with Djibril Cisse still suspended, Mark Hughes will likely look to Taarabt to lend his influence to QPR’s ailing attack as they scrap for points against Swansea.

Steve Kean shifted Junior Hoilett back out to the flank for the trip to the Hawthorns and duly saw his side slip to defeat. With Liverpool due at Ewood Park on Tuesday, Kean will surely look to renew Hoilett’s partnership with Yakubu against a Liverpool side with just one clean sheet in their last eight. Both Hoilett and Yakubu offer value, then, but we prefer the trickery and FPL price tag of the influential Hoilett for our bench role.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

No way to tell. I think I'm gonna stick with him just incase; You'll be gutted if you see his name on the team sheet vs Norwich. It sounds like a perfect fixture for him to rack up some points.

Me and my rival have been neck and neck all season yet in recent weeks he has built a lead. Had I made the correct bench decisions and not sold Dempsey I would have made major inroads this week but instead the gap has extended to 35 points but I must move on from that. Our teams are almost identical so I feel I need to make some maverick decisions. Of course, everything is subject to change based on form, injuries etc but at the moment I’m thinking:

GW33 Skrtel, Bale and Crouch out for Kolarov, Walcott and Tevez 8 point hit

In the last 7 gameweeks Kolarov has played 3 times and scored 15,12,1 (off the bench today), a total of 28. Skrtel, in comparison, has scored 14 points over that time despite playing 90 minutes every game and having a DGW. The DGW aside, I’m fairly sure I could have at least matched Skrtel’s score every week from my bench. I have a high team value and Baines, Verm and Evans so I’m happy to take the risk of Kolarov not playing (though hopefully he plays GW34). His PPG is so impressive it could pay off and I really wish I got him when I was going on about it back in GW26.

Bale out for Walcott is also risky but I would be doing it GW34 anyway. Wolves away is arguably a better fixture than Norwich at home and there is this injury doubt over Bale. Doing it this week for a hit enables me to save a transfer in GW34 which will save a hit over GW35-36. With this in mind, I’m not taking the -4 into consideration doing the transfer a week early.

Crouch was always going to be a two week punt. With the three other strikers I considered all scoring one or two braces over those two weeks it has been a failure. With Balotelli out and a game in 3 days I think Tevez will start. I’m concerned about his fitness and City’s form but on the other hand he got me a hat trick at home to WBA last season. I’m hoping for a City backlash rather than an implosion though I realise it could go either way.

    GW34 Save transfer

    Vorm
    Verm, Evans, Kolarov
    Walcott, Valencia, Siggy, McClean
    RVP, Rooney, Tevez

    Krul, Ryo, Shotton, Baines

Yes I realise that my aim to get 11 playing could be scuppered by Kolarov but f*ck it, he scores more in one game than many defenders do in 3. I’m sure he’ll start at least one of GW33 and 34 and I’d rather gamble on him scoring double digits in one of them than getting two 1-2 pointers from a nailed on defender.

GW35 Rooney to Cisse, McClean to Captain America

Selling Rooney at home to Everton is risky but I’m fairly sure he’s struggled against them in the past and Everton rarely concede many. Cisse is scoring far more and has a DGW.

McClean to Dempsey is a no brainer.

GW36 Not sure yet, will bring in up to 3 players (8 point hit) which would give me 9 DGWers plus Siggy and RVP. Spurs coverage is certainly on the agenda though I will decide closer to the time.

Apologies for the long post but if anyone could give their opinions I’d appreciate it. My season feels like its going down the toilet at the moment.

I am looking at Kolarov myself in 34 I have to say

It's just do I risk him not playing and only getting 10 that week?

In 35 it's Rooney and Theo to Ade and Clint (already got Cisse)

Am looking at 6 or 7 DGWers plus Mings, Caulker, Sess, Siggy and RvP

Man City played today, they play Wednesday and Saturday. If Kolarov doesn't start at least one of them I will be stunned. I'm prepared to gamble on him getting double digits in one and zero in the other. Will be on free kicks with no Mario around.

could do the same Skrtel to Kolarov move for -8. Factoring in my 4 point hit already I have a 21 point advantage in my ML, and can save transfer in 34, which is something I want to do

Kolarov could also play in 35 v Wolves.

Also, nothing is more satisfying than a successful Kolarov punt. Back in GW26 he scored 15 points, I had Richards along with many others on here and he was getting zero minutes every week. I had been talking about Richards>Kolarov for all of that week but I didn't go through with it. Would have been glorious.

hmm, 21 points down to 17

But with Dave v Bolton to compensate and Theo and Verm plus double United defence to compensate, I think we should risk it

I have been going on about Kolarov for the last 2 days meself.

Other than basing your decision to get Tevez in for -4 on past form isn't, welll... thought through in my opinion - the rest of the transfers seem legit. I would say if you're looking to get Cisse, get it while it's still hot. Good luck.

My decision to get Tevez isn't really based on past form, it just seemed like a comment worth making. City have 3 good fixtures and based on Mancini's comments a few weeks backs he should be at or close to full fitness now. Not sure if that's actually the case based on his minutes today but as I said I need to gamble.

Is it time for Kolarov this week for city? Have to go for it at this stage being 8pts behind and cliche started today…bale is a doubt for my team and was thinking of bringing in Kolarov in GW34 anyway. If you look at his history this season he tends to either start or not play at all (bar today) so if I stick him in and he doesn’t play he shouldn’t come on for a 1pointer.
Im planning to bring sess in for GW34 so could do Bale -> session and Senderos -> Kolarov for -4. Team this week would be:
      Vorm
      Evans, Verm, Baines, Kolarov
      Valencia, Siggy, VDV, Walcott
      Rooney, RVP (C)
      Subs: Simpson, Sess, Yak
Or could play Bale and have Simpson first sub in case he doesn’t play. Decisions, decisions:)

I'm sure Kolarov will play at least one of the next two if that's any help. They play Wednesday and Saturday, Mancini is bound to rotate his full backs.

That's my thinking too and as u said his PPG is outstanding! Mancini tends to use him for easy home games as he can't really defend so with city's 3 handy fixtures to come and them needing attacking intent he could be a great buy. 0.8% ownership as well, I think Im convincing myself. May sleep on it and wait for any more news on Bale first

I feel you pain, I'm in the opposite position as I am trying to maitain my 50 point lead which has been cut down from 80 over three weeks.

Tevez is a big risk, what about aguero for safety?, Kolarov is risky but like you say can be covered by the rest of the team so that is ok

I'd keep roo for 35 and save the additional transfer and have 2 for 36 leading to you having 2 DWers i.e roo---> ade

P.s hang in there its tough clawing back a lead but its also hard for your rival to maintain it

      Hope that helps

some advice please, got ryo in a couple o weeks ago with gw35 and 36 on the horizon, but now im thinking of getting rid so i can feild stronger form players from stronger teams eg sess siggy despite the fact they are only single gw players

what do you think, is it mad to get rid of ryo, or is he unlikely to play all the games and get more than 4 anyway given the opposition?
