A pivotal day of Premier League football sees both Manchester clubs involved, as the race for the title heats up. Justifying the “Super Sunday” billing, the Dugout Discussion opens for the opener at Old Trafford, where United are in a prime position to pile the pressure on City. They themselves visit the Emirates later this afternoon, facing an in form Arsenal.

The team sheets for the Manchester United – Queens Park Rangers game are in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

QPR XI: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Diakite, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt, Buzsaky, Bothroyd.

Two changes for the champions then, with Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replacing Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the side that were victorious at Blackburn.

Somewhat surprisingly, Bobby Zamora is dropped to the substitutes bench for visitors, with Jay Bothroyd replacing him. Meanwhile, Joey Barton isn’t risked, with the midfielder one yellow card away from a two-match suspension.

Follow the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

    repost
the thing with barca i find though is that the decisions that they get are actual fouls but they just go down so easily and theatrically

i think they are taught from young when to go down in certain areas of the pitch to relieve pressure, get a goalscoring chance or get others booked to help them in the game but with all decisions they get i do feel they are fouls

and in the classico i always take their side due to the thuggery madrid show which borders on assult at times from the likes of pepe and marcelo

whereas united just seem to get decisions which are blatantly wrong

Make a transfer for GW33 or wait a week and make 2 for GW34?

    Krul (BOL)
    Kompany (WBA) • Evans J (wig) • Assou-Ekotto (NOR)
Valencia (wig) • Dempsey (CHE) • Sigurdsson (qpr) • Bale (NOR)
Rooney (wig) • Adebayor (NOR) • Van Persie (wol)

Mignolet (eve) • Cahill (ful) • Caulker (qpr) • McClean (eve)

    My thoughts for possible transfers:
    1. Cahill out. Vermaelan in.
    2. Adebayor out. Papiss Cisse in.
    3. Bale out. Walcott in.

Pffff United had 92% possession before that penalty so anyone claiming it has won us the title is seriously deluded. It was a question of when a goal was going to go in before the penalty decision. Not to mention since then we have had 2 penalty shouts turned down.

      lol nice name.

It's the fact that Utd are a high profile club, most games on TV, so many watch them, opposed to a Bolton-Wigan game, where controversial decisions may be made but overlooked (QPR-Bolton game for instance). We attack more and are likely to be more in the opponents half and around their area = more chance of a goal/pen. Simple really.

Would apply to Chelsea/City/Arsenal/Madrid/Barca etc as well.

Keep in mind I currently have 9 players who I can play in GW34.

My next two transfers will have to be players that are missing GW34 for those who will be involved. I need to get rid 2 out of Cahill, Assou-Ekotto, Dempsey, Bale or Adebayor.

Maybe it's worth taking Cahill (ful) out and bringing in Vermaelen (wol) this week?

those that think ronaldo is anywhere near to messi

he has 37 goals in 84 champions league games
    messi has 51 in 66

therein lies the difference ronaldo is far less effective in the bigger games against better defenders who can cope with his pace

Ronaldo spent a decent amount of those games playing more on the wing, though. Messi is better, sure, but you can't just compare the goals like that.

What to do for GW33? Do I :-

    A) Keep Ba for one more week?..it's his last ,honest.
    B) Sell for Cisse, leaving me with 10 GW34 players without taking a hit?
    C) Sell Ba for a GW34 player now, thinking Balo?

    Cheers.

Whenever United get a decision no one ever mentions decisions like the Ba penalty earlier in the season, or the Drogba offside for the title a few years ago.

Not saying United don't get decisions but it works both way and some people tend to forget that.

    Front 3 is:
    Ba RVP Rooney

Something I won't do next season... keep giving players "just one more game" due to fixtures... should have done Ba > Cisse a while ago, but guess none of us can see the future.

2 FT would you do Ba > Cisse and then have Cisse for the BOLTON game and the DGW?

Midfield is Bale, Dempsey, Valencia, McClean, Sig (Bank 5.5)
