A pivotal day of Premier League football sees both Manchester clubs involved, as the race for the title heats up. Justifying the “Super Sunday” billing, the Dugout Discussion opens for the opener at Old Trafford, where United are in a prime position to pile the pressure on City. They themselves visit the Emirates later this afternoon, facing an in form Arsenal.

The team sheets for the Manchester United – Queens Park Rangers game are in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

QPR XI: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Diakite, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt, Buzsaky, Bothroyd.

Two changes for the champions then, with Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replacing Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the side that were victorious at Blackburn.

Somewhat surprisingly, Bobby Zamora is dropped to the substitutes bench for visitors, with Jay Bothroyd replacing him. Meanwhile, Joey Barton isn’t risked, with the midfielder one yellow card away from a two-match suspension.

Follow the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Jafooli, I replied to you a couple of pages back, but I guess you missed it. Posts going very quickly around about now.

I am captaining dave for sure. 1) the most on form player in the league, 2) at home, 3) against one of the worst defences in the league, 4) RVP and rooney away, 5) he’s got a cool name

agreed but i'm leading my ML and my main rival has RvP and Rooney.

i can match his predictable C all day long and have Dave as a differential.

Too be honest, I don't see Dave as a differential captain pick. If I was to place a bet, and the odds on rvp, rooney and dave to score most, I would go for dave.

You'll hear all day about how man utd got the lucky decision against QPR. You'll also hear about how balotelli was lucky not be sent off but not how man city were lucky to not have balotelli sent off.

They get the marginals in there favour far more than anyone else
      Have for years now .
Pens line today's where sometimes you get sometimes not . United get them and if their players commit the foul they get away with it
gets them 5-10 points every year

I don't think its anything. I'd hope it's just poor refereeing?? And I disagree...I think all teams get the dodgy decisions (chelsea just yesterday). I feel that it seems united get more because they are highlighted more and it gets remembered more because they are decisions that impact the title.
