FFS Cup

Members Paddy Power Cup II – And The Winner Is…

Having successfully negotiated a qualifying round and nine head-to-head match-ups, Fuzzy Dunlop is the Members Paddy Power Cup II champion. Deposing our previous winner Kippax Kikkers, he saw off The Lord 64 – 60 in Gameweek 33 to take the top prize.

There was so little to separate our finalists, with six of their starting eleven identical. In the end the deciding factor was Fuzzy Dunlop’s midfield duo of Theo Walcott and Antonio Valencia outscoring The Lord’s Clint Dempsey and Juan Mata by those four points that split them. A mini-game that could have gone either way. Nonetheless, congratulations to Fuzzy Dunlop!

Also in action last weekend were mch and Pablod, both looking to claim the prize for finishing third. Outscoring our finalists, their match ended in a 73 – 67 win for mch. Papiss Cisse versus Stephane Sessegnon settled this tie, with all other attacking options cancelling each other out.

So the prizes break down as follows…

  • Fuzzy Dunlop – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • The Lord – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • mch – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Congratulations to our three prize winners and commiserations to Pablod, who leaves with nothing. A big thank you to everyone who participated, and also to SUPERIOR BEING for helping me out with the results.

Fingers crossed, the Members Paddy Power Cup will return for a third edition next season.

*Lost on last page. Guys, who would you rather have from now until the end of the season:

    Kelly or Bardsley?

Just want a second opinion on my thinking. I’m thinking Bardsley because he has the easiest run of fixtures and it gives me an extra player this GW. Cheers

Sorry for off topic stuff but I don't know where else to ask. I've tried some FIFA12 and I don't know how to do what I thought was called a dummy in English. When googling that however I only found loads of sites about fake shots and that's not what I'm after.

What I want to do is jump over the ball. Like if I pass one of my players I want to jump over the ball with him so that the defender will be BAMBOOZLED and the ball will reach the next of my players behind him. Someone just did this loads to me in an online game and I thought I should learn that too.

    Anyone knows?

Managed to get 11 out this week without making a transfer, and I strangely have high hopes for pretty much all of them:

    Hart
    Jevans - McAuley - Lescott
    Walcott - Silva - Valencia - McClean
    RVP - Rooney - Agbonlahor

Has to be RVP(c) doesn't it?

This is my plan for the DGW.

For GW 34 I currently have 11 playing:

    Mignolet (Krul)

    Verm Evans Caulker Kompany (BAE)

    Siggy Valencia Walcott Sess (Dempsey)

    RVP Rooney (Cisse)

    For GW 35 I'm going Walcott>Bale and Verm>Baines. (4 point hit)

    For GW 36 I'm going Rooney>Ade and Sess>HBA. (4 point hit)

That will give me 8 DGW players playing twice, Cisse, Ade, HBA, Bale, Dempsey, Baines, BAE, and Krul.

    Good plan?

My main rival in my mini league has done 3 transfers meaning he will field 11 players this GW. One of them is Torres –> Aguero. My team at the moment consists of these 10 players:
    Vorm

    Evans – Kompany – Caulker

    Valencia – Walcott – Sessegnon – Siggy

    RvP – Rooney
Bench: Schwarzer, Kelly, BAE, Dempsey, Cisse

I’m leading my mini league by 25 points. Have 1 free transfer. Should I:
    A) Kelly –> McAuley (he has McAuley)/ Sunderland defender.

    B) Keep as is and kill him in GW36.

I want to get in a city or Arsenal defender and I fancy Sagna or Richards to sneak an assist this week.

I am leaning towards Richards, but worried he may be replaced by a more defensive approach by Mancini(Zabaleta probly) this week.

Then there is the issue of Sagna, where I can see Wigan score after their performance against United, plus the difficult fixture in gameweek 35 against Chelsea.

    Any opinions on this?

    So cruel on Southampton...

    Hope they still go up.
