Members Paddy Power Cup II – And The Winner Is…

Having successfully negotiated a qualifying round and nine head-to-head match-ups, Fuzzy Dunlop is the Members Paddy Power Cup II champion. Deposing our previous winner Kippax Kikkers, he saw off The Lord 64 – 60 in Gameweek 33 to take the top prize.

There was so little to separate our finalists, with six of their starting eleven identical. In the end the deciding factor was Fuzzy Dunlop’s midfield duo of Theo Walcott and Antonio Valencia outscoring The Lord’s Clint Dempsey and Juan Mata by those four points that split them. A mini-game that could have gone either way. Nonetheless, congratulations to Fuzzy Dunlop!

Also in action last weekend were mch and Pablod, both looking to claim the prize for finishing third. Outscoring our finalists, their match ended in a 73 – 67 win for mch. Papiss Cisse versus Stephane Sessegnon settled this tie, with all other attacking options cancelling each other out.

So the prizes break down as follows…

  • Fuzzy Dunlop – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • The Lord – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • mch – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Fingers crossed, the Members Paddy Power Cup will return for a third edition next season.

    Thoughts on Bale > City mid, for the next 2 weeks then bring Bale back for the DGW?
    This makes so much sense to me looking at the fixtures, Bale no game this week, City have Norwich this week then City have Wolves next week.

    I only have Lescott as City coverage and am convinced there are points to be had from their attack these next 2 weeks or is it a waste to take Bale out just to bring him back?

      Arsenal have scored 10 goals across their last four league matches with Wigan. Wigan have scored none- this is why Rvp is the stand out captain choice.

        I'd say save. Wouldn't expect to make huge difference in a defender, plus Kaboul will bit fit for DGW and you'll have more transfers left too.

      I'm able to play 2-4-2 plus a keeper this week. I've made one transfer already. Is it worth doing Kelly to Turner for a hit? Rival has Mignolet in goal and will have 9 players so Turner would give me one player over. If Sunderland concede, I'm -3 down (or worse). If they get a cleanie, I'm +2 and have covered a 6 from his keeper.

        The transfer adds 2 appearance points that you won't get if you don't do the transfer, so the hit is only 2 points. Do it.
