Nicklas Bendtner is back for Sunderland’s home game with Wolves this weekend. Kieran Gibbs and Gervinho are still doubts for Arsenal, Yaya Toure remains a “maybe” for City, while Alex McLeish has injury concerns ahead of Villa’s trip to Old Trafford:

Nicklas Bendtner is available for Sunderland ahead of this weekend’s home game against Wolves. The big Dane is set to return alongside Stephane Sessegnon up front and, with four goals and an assist in his last six appearances, should be afforded further chance for Fantasy returns against the out-of-sorts midlanders. John O’Shea and Fraizer Campbell are also in with a shout of a comeback, while Lee Cattermole is a doubt, according to Martin O’Neill.

Yaya Toure could be set to return for City at Norwich tomorrow lunchtime. Having limped out of last Sunday’s loss at Arsenal, Toure was sidelined for the midweek win over West Brom but Roberto Mancini has revealed the Ivorian “maybe” has a chance to feature at Carrow Road, as City look to close the gap at the top to two points.

Roy Hodgson received some positive injury news this morning, after Chris Brunt and Liam Ridgewell were both passed fit to face Blackburn. The pair had missed the midweek trip to Old Trafford due to knee problems but have recovered in time for tomorrow afternoon. Jerome Thomas and Martin Fulop remain doubts, though the duo have returned to training, while Gabriel Tamas is still unavailable.

Marc Tierney has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after undergoing a groin op. The left-back had played every minute of the season until Gameweek 17 before succumbing to the problem and, after a few months out, returned to the Norwich reserves last week only to break down once again. The Canaries tweeted earlier today that they hope to have him back for pre-season – Adam Drury seems the likely candidate to continue in the back-four as a result of Tierney’s absence. Daniel Ayala has also been ruled out of the final five fixtures by Paul Lambert, who also revealed Zak Whitbread is out of tomorrow’s clash with City due to a calf injury.

Danny Guthrie and Cheick Tiote are both on course for a return to action in the Gameweek 34 home clash with Stoke. Guthrie has missed the last two with a calf injury, while Tiote was subbed off at half time in the win at Swansea last Friday but, with Newcastle facing a blank Gameweek this weekend, the midfield pair are afforded extra time to recover as Alan Pardew’s side look to pick up their sixth win in a row against the Potters.

Paul Scholes is set to return for United this Sunday as the league leaders take on Villa. The midfielder was rested for the 1-0 defeat at Wigan and, while Sir Alex Ferguson maintains he has no regrets over resting him, United’s loss was their first since Scholes returned from retirement in Gameweek 21 in a run that had previously seen then drop just two points in twelve games.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s home game with Wigan on Monday evening, according to Arsene Wenger. The left-back’s availability is rated as “50-50” by his manager, while Gervinho is rated as “80-20” – Andre Santos and Yossi Benayoun look likely to continue in the pair’s absence. Wenger also revealed Abou Diaby will miss out yet again, though the midfielder will return to full training next week.

Steve Kean is optimistic that Bradley Orr and Martin Olsson will be available for this weekend’s trip to West Brom. The Blackburn defenders both picked up knocks in Tuesday’s loss to Liverpool but the Rovers boss revealed they should both be in the frame for the crucial Baggies clash.

Scott Parker is back for Spurs’ FA Cup Semi-Final against Chelsea this weekend. The midfielder missed out in the home defeat to Norwich due to tight hamstrings but is fit and available, according to Harry Redknapp. Younes Kaboul is ruled out with the knee problem that forced him off before half-time in the Canaries match, while Niko Krancjar is also out after picking up a knee problem in training. The Spurs boss also revealed there are “one or two knocks” to consider ahead of Sunday’s Wembley showdown.

Ashley Cole is back for Chelsea for the derby with Spurs. In this afternoon’s press conference, Roberto Di Matteo revealed the left-back is fit once again, though his recent replacement, Ryan Bertrand, is a doubt due to a calf problem. Oriol Romeu has picked up an illness and is unlikely to feature.

Alex McLeish could be without Chris Herd and Stephen Warnock for Sunday’s trip to United. The pair are currently doubts, with head and ankle problems respectively. While Marc Albrighton may miss out once more, Fabian Delph could make a surprise return. The midfielder was expected to be ruled out for the season after picking up an ankle injury during a loan spell at former club Leeds but has recovered far quicker than anticipated and could feature from the bench at Old Trafford. Ciaran Clark could also return to bolster the midfield ranks – the 4.5 priced FPL defender has mainly been played in the middle by McLeish and could be a real differential punt in Villa’s double Gameweek 35 if he proves his fitness this weekend.

Just realised my GW34 Vs GW36 plans is a choice between 3 options

    (1) Sessegnon WOL, BOL
    (2) Mata QPR, NEW + 4 points
    (3) Pienaar FUL, stk + 4 points

Actually looks worth doing a FT for Bale->Sess GW34 and then taking a hit in GW36 to get Bale back for another player (McClean). This means I won't also be able to get Mata or Pienaar in to have 9 DGWs, but will have 8 DGWs instead.

Fixtures are deceiving. You need to be a good side to take advantage of such fixtures and Bolton are not that side.

1 pen from Petrov is all i've ever seen. Seemed more like he had to score so he could show his support for his namesake.

HBA is in lightning form just now. He is in my team until the end of the season.

Stupidly I've still got ashley young and can see him being dropped this weekend, especially as he was subbed off after 45mins. Do I use a ft that I was planning to use for another dgwer next week so I could field 8 with a hit?

    So young > sess?

    Current team

    Migs, Krul
    Evans, caulker, verm, cahill, Simpson
    Young, mcclean, siggy, Walcott, demps,
    Rvp, rooney, Dave cisse.

please please can someone help never been this confused.. dgw has really been screwing with my head

    ok so original plan

currently 9 playing.. 2 FT.. use 1 FT.. make it 10.. giving me 8 dgw

now with aguero scoring 19 points and having 2 attractive fixtures and adebayor being useless in front of goal.. i have been contemplating using my 2 FT to field 11 this week (addition of aguero) and taking a 4 pt hit to do aguero back to ade in the dgw giving me 7 in the dgw..

a gain of 90 mins today for a loss of 90 mins and 4 points 2 weeks from now

    the difference:

    A. aguero vs nor wol + vermalen vs stk
    B. ade vs qpr + baines vs FUL/stk + 4 points

My head is telling me to do the exact same thing and take a -4 hit to get Aguero in this week ahead of those very tasty fixtures then getting Cisse back or Ade in for the DGW. It could pay dividends with not everyone being able to field a full team this week...

Not a lot of love for Tevez on here. Understandable, he's a complete scrote.

But if he gets something against Norwich, many people (those with principles excluded) wll be transferring him in ahead of the Wolves fixture, which is followed by a tasty game against Man U. Anyone else considering getting him, given Aguero's poor away form?

    Me
    VORM
    EVANS – MACAULEY
    WALCOTT – VALENCIA – SIGGY – MCCLEAN
    RVP – ROONEY
    Schwarzer – Wilko – Skrtel – Simpson – Bale – Cisse

    Him
    MIGNOLET
    EVANS – KOMPANY – CAULKER – TURNER
    WALCOTT – VALENCIA – SIGGY - SURMAN

I think I have resigned myself to 10 starters for gw 34. When sholes comes back that means young on the bench, maybe even left out of the squad v Villa?
I am hoping that Ferguson goes for the player against his former club logic.

Your +4 points format is a bit of a leading questions. It's making me lean toward 2 and 3! For example in some European countries they've found that saying you 'Lose 2 points' on your driving license for speeding dramatically improved it's effectiveness as a deterrent - somehow saying, 'You've been given 2 points' made it, subconciously, seem like it was actually pretty cool to get caught speeding.

"Nicklas is available. John(O'shea) and Fraizer have done a little bit of training, which is encouraging for us.
"I'll see what kind of reaction there is sometime today."

Does'nt sound like Oshea will start.. i only care bout this week with turner.. he can happily sit on my bench after that

Long post mates, but might help you to, so read it and comment please 😉

So after some discussing and some thinking finally got a way into a strong team for GW36 with only one 4 point hit:

    my current team:
    Vorm | Mignolet
    Verm | Komp | Evans | Caulker | Enrique
    Sess | Sigg | Dempsey | Walcott | Valencia
    RVP | Roo | Cisse

    2FT

for GW34 i will do: Mignolet>Krul and I will field
    Vorm
    Verm | Komp | Evans | Caulker
    Sess | Sigg | Walcott | Valencia
    RVP | Roo

    then I will do (2FT) GW35:
    Roo>Tevez
    Verm>BAE

    and field
    Vorm
    Komp | Evans | BAE
    Sess | Valencia(Walcott?) | Sigg | Dempsey
    RVP | Roo | Cisse

    then I will do (1FT) GW36:
    Sigg>HBA
    Walcott>Bale

    And field:
    Krul
    Komp | BAE | Enrique
    HBA | Sess | Dempsey | Bale
    RVP | Tevez | Cisse

    what do you think??

Definitely every time. Do your research early and bang 'em in as soon as the gameweek starts.

I know people say that they might get injured etc etc but I've been doing it for years and I think I've only lost one or two to a red card and injury.

Saved millions and wouldn't have been able to play the teams I've played.

Most recent example, you could have waited for Cisse and he went up .3 in 2 days. Next week he went up .3 in 24 hours.

I don't find it a hard choice 'cos I love playing this game and can't wait to get 'em in.

      Several questions here:

      1) Bendtner or McClean for one week punt? Anything better for 10.2m (forward) or 6.0m (midfielder)?

      2) Can someone explain why RVP(WIG) is so far ahead in the Captain's poll over Rooney(AVL)? It seems to me that Wigan are proving to be an in-form side.

      3) Why has Ryan Taylor not been getting any game-time recently for Newcastle?

          2) Team and Player in great form.

It's a coin toss though really - as Utd and Rooney will want to make a statement at home to Villa.

It's just whether they can make that statement or whether they'll labour around for it.

Form would be a good reason to say that it is a borderline decision - then "form" also dictates that you pick the team playing Villa rather than the team playing Wigan.

What aspect of form have I missed that rates RVP above Rooney because it can't be points scored
