In this latest article for members, we focus on the midfield area for the problematic Gameweek 34. With several contenders vying for our attention and cherished free transfer, we examine the recent form of four of the top attractions on offer – Stephane Sessegnon, James McClean, Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson – using our own ICT Fantasy Index and the data from Opta.
who to captain - RVP or Walcott (both Wigan) or Valencia or Rooney (villa)
Open ControlsRVP
Open Controlsleaning towards Walcott but playing it safe, so RVP(C) it is.
Open ControlsRooney, fergie will have them playin strongly and at home, wigan are no pushovers and give arsenal a hard time all the time
Open ControlsRVP.
People saying that Rooney will score big and Man Utd will demolish Villa because of losing to Wigan, but in the 3 games post-defeats this season Rooney hasn't scored and has just 10 points.Open Controls
I finally got rid of Raylor, moved Lescott in.
Open Controlsi want to but it would have to be for a hit..........

Hehe. Its beginning to dawn on people at work what going on this weekend. One of my co-workers response was "yeah I know I did valencia to nani" wow
Open Controlsdya reckon 10 players for this GW is suffice?
Vorm
Evans - Williams - Taiwo
Walcott - McClean - Siggy - Valencia
RVP - RooneyOpen ControlsOK votes on this please...
Bentner or Yak ?
I already have McClean. First to 3 gets it...
Thanks...Open Controlsfeed the yak
Open Controlsyak
Open ControlsYak
Open ControlsHow was that so unaminous? Blackburn will hardly have the ball at Swansea... Danish Prince all the way
Open Controlsit has been proven that not having the ball against swansea does not mean you don't score 😛
Open Controls
i just did yak->bendtner. just because he bagged a couple this weekend doesnt mean he will vs one of the meanest defences in the PL, + bburn are rubbish. bendtner is on pens in a far better team, against the worst defence in the league.
all people see is last weeks scoreOpen Controls
Nooo! I need this article! Why am I such a cheapskate?!
Open Controlsthinking the same.
but then again... dont know.Open Controls

By the way this season gone so far.. Knee jerk + Current Form focus have effectively delivered better results (not for me but my observation) than Forward Planning. So, by this trend, should fielding 11 in gw34 be higher priority to the future games to come?
Ones who got rid of Dempsey before his away, tough, and blank GWs.. What do you think?Open ControlsAgree its better to play whats in front of you than trying to think too far ahead, best laid plans and all that...
Open ControlsA bit of both.
I got rid of Demps, but brought in Walcott anyway, so not too bad.Open ControlsSamesies.

In a way, but then again patience often pays off. People like Doosra who held on to Ade for example got a 20 point haul out of the blue
Open ControlsThere's no need to have 11 if it's only a defender you're missing. If you've 6 mid/att with potential to score big, that's the priority.
I'd prefer to save a transfer if I could as it'll be crucial because of the DGWs and the huge influence winning or losing the FA cup semi could have as far as rotation prior to the cup final is concerned.Open Controls
I know a lot of you are actually playing less than 11 this week but I'm actually tempted to use my freebie to bring in a 12th for the bench. Its scary looking at the bench and seeing a load of dots
Open Controlsbeen tempted to do something similar but it feels like we're already in a stronger position than most and have a potential 7 DGWers without a hit, would say it's definitely not worth it (especially looking at your team and the players you have)
Open Controlsliving up to your name!

Have 2 free transfers, was going to use one doing Ba to a striker for this week to give me 11 players, and 2 free transfers next week to plan for the DGW. But now Yaya is a doubt, should i stick to the plan and hope he plays, or use the other free doing Yaya to Walcott? Opinions please guys?
Open Controlsmaybe just do the yaya transfer, not many strikers look great this week, unless you can afford an aguero or whoever
Open Controlsi can afford aguero, if i only do the one transfer. But he is so bad away i was looking more towards Odemwingie..?
Open Controlswouldn't buy into home and away form too much, dempsey blew it to pieces a couple of weeks ago, city need goals, are against norwich and aguero is the main man. if you can afford him definitely go for him over Odem IMO.
Open ControlsI sold dempsey before bolton away, stupid me! maybe i will go for aguero so and leave toure in and hope he plays
Open Controls
aguero/tevez could be great, but do you want to have that much money tied up in your frontline (assuming you have rooney+rvp already) not good for the balance of your team. bendtner is a good shout (i just got him) fixtures, form and pens
Open Controlswhoever i get will become cisse next week anyway, so i could get him alright. no away goals since old trafford worries me though
Open Controls
I still have Suarez. Is it worth taking a hit at some point to get him out before gw36?
My proposed transfers after this GW but before gw36 are:
Valencia to Dempsey/Mata
Rooney to Adebayor
Suarez to Cisse
That would leave me with 6 dgw players.Open ControlsYou know Suarez has a pretty damn good DGW fixture and WBA next week who look to have given up?
I would have kept him if it wasn't for stupid H2HOpen ControlsI am worried that Rooney will step up his game vs city, as he tends to do in big games
Open Controls+1. I am probably going without Ade for DGW. I dont trust that Donkey in my team.
Open Controls
pontless to replace a dgw player with another, plus cisse has chelsea and wigan away to very tough matches with teams fighting for 4th place and relegation
Open ControlsI think it's fair considering Cisse has already scored more goals than Suarez this season.
Open ControlsDGW Fever Alert! By that logic, there is no point doing any transfers in normal gameweeks. Some players can score more in one week than others do in two.
Open Controls(My reply was to Harris, who said that it's pointless to replace a DGW player with another, which I think is a daft thing to say, as if all DGW players will score the same).
Me, I'm taking a hit or two to get 6 DGW players. Similar to yours, though I already have Cisse. I'm waiting until GW36 for Spurs players because they need to prove themselves against QPR to deserve a spot, even if their fixtures are great. But a lot of my plans are very contingent on FA Cup Finalists so I'll decide a lot on Sunday night.Open Controls
Is my maths right on this?
I currently have 10 players and 3 FT to use from now to GW36.
So, between the two rounds (ignoring GW35) I have:
(if I don't have 11 in GW34)
GW34 GW36
10 + (5+3)*2+3 = 29 games
(if I trade to get 11 in GW34)
GW34 GW36
11 + (4+2)*2+5 = 28 games
(Obviously I can take hit(s) to improve the number of games in GW36)Open ControlsA 4 point hit this week is effectively, only a two point hit - The logic in this is, If you get a midfielder in i.e. Siggy, you would expect him to get at least two points even if he does sod-all, which you would not of had if you had only played with 10. (thus only two points lost) I am definately taking a 4(2) point hit for this reason. It may be worthwhile looking at a player who is good for the next gameweek to see the full benefit.
Open Controls
worth a hit?
bale /simpson to sess/lescott
would give me 11 for this week.would do nothing gw 35 and get bale back in gw 36Open Controlsshipping out bale for either sess / walcott
&
skrtel for either verm / lescott.
cannot make up my mind. any help appreciated.
money no object because i'm rich.Open ControlsHmmmmm. Changed my mind again. I've been thinking of sess - bale then back again as an 8 pt hit as I already have plans for my free transfers up to GW36. But now i'm thinking i might be looking at it wrong. I can do Bale - Sess for free this week. Then when it gets to GW36, I can assess any potential hit on there individual merits. Or not! Aaarrrgggghhhh!! This is doing my head in!!
Open ControlsI was going with 10 this week but I'm now only 6 points off the lead in my main league so...
With Bale sinking like a stone I've gone Bale > McClean.
I now have 11 players and every single one of them is at home - a Fantasy Football first for me!Open ControlsMignolet
Caulker McAuley Evans
Morrison Sigurdsson Valencia Sessegnon Walcott
Rooney(c) RVP(v)
Worth me transferring out the injured Morrison this week (max £9.3m) or save the transfer until next week?Open ControlsI'd be saving in and getting Dempsey next week ... those other 4 are good enough to score for 5 players this week I reckon.
Open Controls
Verm.
Open ControlsVermaelen is one of the standout defenders this week with a track record of mega hauls against Wigan.
With Oshea coming back there is a small question mark over the Sunderland defence, Turner could make way. He probably won't but even if he was the Jesus Christ superstar of nailed on he doesn't even come close to the steely glared goal machine that is the Verminator.Open Controls
So much rave about Sess ... having McClean is ok right?!
Open ControlsI hope it is, given that I have 11 I'm saving my free.
Open Controls
Bentners return makes him an interesting option.
Open ControlsBendtners return means points for Sess.
Open Controls
Right...I've got a 27 point lead in my ML.
My GW34 team is:
Vorm
Turner Caulker Vermaelen Jones
Siggy Valencia McClean Walcott
RVP Rooney
Guy below me in ML only has 7 available but 2FT. Max he can get is 9 without a hit. I suspect he'll do Gerrard to either Sess or Walcott...question is, do I do Bale > Sess as well? Would cost me a hit but cover me.
I highly suspect I shouldn't...but then again it is Wolves.Open ControlsI wouldn't do it for a hit ... 4 pts to take bale out and another 4 to put him back in - soon adds up.
Open Controls
Can someone make me feel good about my team before I go away for the weekend please?
Foster
Ridgewell Turner Verm Evans
Valencia Sess(c) Siggy
Roon(v) Aguero Graham
Thanks.Open ControlsAll being well, you're turning out 11...which'll be more than most this GW!
