The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Is their a correlation between Ramsey playing and rvp points? Also I'd prefer to see gerv/ox on the wing to really scare the full backs.

There's a correlation between Ramsey playing and Arsenal not winning, so I guess that matches up to RVPs points 😐

They got 2 goals against the run of play thanks to Arsenal crap defending. More than I expect they figured they'd get. Just put 10 men behind the ball now and hope to hold out.

At this stage even a point from this game is a great result for Wigan.

        Yep.

Teams down the bottom really need to go to places like West Brom and pick up a point.

So p**sed off that we can't go and get results away from home against teams like the Albion.

Yes that was very disappointing but we have 2 home games left, one agaisnt an imploding Spurs and Stoke who have nothing to play for. Away to Chelsea just after they get the run around in the Nou Camp plus Cisse will be back this weekend, good to have a striker who can finish . Just hope he doesn't go mental again
