With the potential point-bonanza of Gameweek 36 upon us, the Paddy Power Cup VI enters the Quarter-Final stage. Here’s how the sixth round panned out, giving us our final eight…

The highest-ranked fantasy managers going in to the Last Sixteen was jamie1974, but his opponent mch wasn’t fazed one bit. He notched the top-score of the round to dismiss the favourite 75 – 55.

That makes 1,527th ranked DrD the new favourite, who enters the Quarter-Final stage after narrowly beating Mowgli 52 – 50. Let’s see who he now faces…

Good luck to our eight Quarter-Finalists! I’ll post the results shortly after the double Gameweek has concluded.

      same dilemma.
think Mig just shades it. Cant see Bolton keeping a cleanie in either game.

Play the double GW keeper think this way

        Bogdan is 5 - 14 pts
Mign is 1 - 8 pts so it seems that u r risking 3 points at most

It's not about what points are POSSIBLE, it's about what points are LIKELY. Bogdan is likely to get (2/3 - 1) against Tottenham.

I'd take a hit Val > Pienaar, not just for this game week but because Everton have good fixtures remaining and with Nani and Young both fit, has a better chance at playing all of the remaining games I think.

I'd never take a hit for a player that might also not play, kinda defeats the purpose of it. There's plenty of good midfield options this week that offer better value and probably more chance of outscoring Ox even if he does play both games.

You guys were saying the NFL draft is in place to make the game more competetive by giving the weaker teams first pick. How does one college player make such a difference to a team of experienced NFL players?

There's more than one round of picks. Plus you get the bigger teams, say, swapping their 3rd + 4th pick for the smaller teams 1st etc. I honestly don't have much of a clue but the stats show that it works, practically every year you've new teams competing.

Jelavic is one I would have wanted but keeping tevez, cisse, rvp. Pineaar does look tempting, but worried he's used up his good form. If you look at his season form, he's hardly prolific in terms of attacking returns.

It is amazing. I think some managers on here just can't stop their knee jerk. I'm sure some make calculated gambles but a bigger majority just get emotional in their transfer policy.

Some can't stand to see a price rise go by without being ahead of the game which is justifiable earlier in the season but not now IMO.

Others can't stand to see a good fixture go by without getting some form of coverage ala the Rooney out for a City striker debacle last week.

        Calm down dear.

    IT, you still around?
Struggling to make a decision this week, and wondered how your thinking was going!
    A) Kompany, Walcott, Holt --> Walker, Pienaar, Cisse (-4 points, bench Turner, play Migs over Bogdan)
    B) Walcott, Holt --> Osman, Cisse (freeeee, play Turner + Bogdan)
    C) Walcott, Holt --> Barfa, Jelly (as above - i know you suggested before as well!)
    D) Walcott, Holt --> Pienaar, Jelly (free, as above)

      I still like C mate.

I fancy Everton's double and following fixtures more than Newcastles. For that reason I'd go Jelly before Cisse. D is overkill though, C is a happy medium, you get the best Everton coverage (jelly) with the next best bit of Newcastle coverage (barfa).

        makes annoyingly good sense.
still cant seem to shift the Pienaar bug though. He's been very good for Everton since he's been back apparently.
        I'll have another think.
        Thanks though.

If Money was no object, which defender would you have for this gw?

Terry. As much as I hate the guy, he's the obvious choice.

Captaincy is a big decision this week then. Delved into a few stats over the last 6 GWs to try and help pick one...this sway you towards/away from any of these 4?

    repost:
    BOGDAN
    CAHILL caulker turner
    BARFA DEMPS BALE siggy mclean
    rooney rvp

bench: augero evans mcauly….habe 1 ft so my options are:
A: bring in 1 dgw striker for augero and another dgw midfielder for mclean and take a 4 point hit
B: bring in 1 dgw striker for augero and another dgw midfielder for mclean and 1 dgw def for turner…8 point it

I was thinking of bringing in torres as striker or cisse as a striker
    walters/petrov as a midfielder
    huth/hibber/walker as defender

    thoughts????

depends if you really want to take a hit, the 8point hit could be worth it this week

would stay away from torres - jelavic/cisse would be better choice
      pienaar better choice of midfielder
      hibbert/walker defender imo

have to do changes to my mates team and he's 2 freebies but says do as many changes as i like
he really isnt a full time player

    his team
    vorm alhabsi
    taylor Rtaylor simpson baines richards
    sinclair jarvis dempsey sess mcclean
    yakubu torres sturridge

i'm thinking of 5 changes for a 12 point hit

baines, jarvis, mcclean, yakubu, sturridge > terry, vdv, pienaar, cisse and jelavic

what you guys reckon, now i know sturridge has 2 games but think both cisse and jelavic will outscore, or just do yakubu as only striker to go and one of cisse/jelavic in

don't take a hit to get rid of a DGW.. especially not with a Chelsea rotating before the FA Cup Final. Anything can happen. like for example 2 sturridge games

    alright guys and gals

Seems just from reading a few pages of comments on here that the FFS community is backing Mr VDV over Bale.

Is this the case? and if so why?

VdV has a bigger goal threat, even more so if Adebayor misses any of the next 2 games. he scored 2 against Blackburn earlier in the year, seems to like playing against them and ... Bales sucked for 10 weeks :p

Worth paying to do McLean to Piennar? Already have Jelly and would mean benching Tony V.

I own Aguero, but I'm thinking (often my first mistake)... City have QPR at home on the final day of the season - surely the odds are that City won't have anything to play for and QPR will?

Now would this make Aguero a weaker pick than normal due to that, or more, due to QPR attacking and leaving more space? Or if the title has been decided, could Aguero even be benched?
