So much for the theory that stability is the foundation of success. While many were up in arms over the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas, with the Portuguese manager granted a mere eight months of the 2011/12 season before his services were deemed surplus to requirement, the chopping and changing seems to have worked at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Di Matteo has made an immediate impact since settling in as interim manager earlier last month. Guiding the Blues to the FA Cup Final and upsetting the odds with a Nou Camp draw last Tuesday, the Italian is now afforded the chance of two lots of silverware, boosting his chances of landing the job on a permanent basis. With a couple of home ties against QPR and Newcastle this Gameweek, many Fantasy managers are eying up Chelsea’s Fantasy assets but, with rest and rotation set to kick in, picking the right choice is proving to be a tricky task.

Step forward Fernando Torres. A look at Di Matteo’s recent selection policy suggests it’s Didier Drogba who is likely to be tasked with leading the line in the cup competitions and, with three starts in the last four Gameweeks, the Spaniard looks more inclined to be handed game time in the league. Priced at 9.8 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Torres has returned a respectable 5.25 points per game over the last four matches, with a goal, three assists and a bonus point accrued.

Although QPR have upset the form book with wins over the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool in recent weeks, all these results have come at Loftus Road – Mark Hughes’ outfit have lost their last six on the road, in comparison. While Newcastle’s defence have been returning the points with a recent regularity, it’s worth noting that most of their clean sheets have come at the Sports Direct Arena – they’ve kept out their opponents only twice in the last seven road trips.

Let’s be honest – El Nino has hardly set the league alight since moving to the Bridge but, as his equaliser at Barcelona highlighted, he’s still more than capable of finding the net and seems to have increased in confidence under Di Matteo’s guidance. It’s a risk, clearly – there’s every chance he could fail to fire and you could be left kicking yourself for snapping up his services – but, with an ownership of just 2.9% and games against Liverpool and Blackburn to see out the season, it’s one that could reap reward for those Fantasy managers scouring the market for a mini-league gamble.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

O’Neill has again hinted that Craig Gordon could feature before the end of the campaign

“I’m still hoping that there’s a possibility he might play a game. It’s the only way I’m going to find out."

“He’s chomping at the bit and wants to play, as does Keiren Westwood."

i know my rival will captain cisse as he does not have jelavic, and i am only 29 pts in front. so it's probably the best move to captain cisse as jelavic is differential enough without me having to captain him right?

Im in the same boat as you, rival will captain Cisse, but doesnt have Jellyfish. Im currently 17 pts behind, so i will captain Jelaaa all the way, Cisse might grab a couple og goals, but i honestly doesnt think he'll explode this gameweek (i might eat those words). Example, Cisse gets a total of 12 pts, it only takes 1 goal from Jelavic to even the score. +1 for Jelavic (fixtures), i hope and think he'll outscore Papiss

      Two of:

      Walcott > Pienaar
      Dyer > HBA
      Kompany > Bosingwa
RVP > Jelavic (but get RVP back the next week)
RVP > Torres (and a bottle of whisky to numb the pain of him drawing blanks)

I think Walcott to Piennar is a cert.

I think I'll keep Dyer as I have more pressing issues.

RVP to Jelavic is very tempting.

I also fancy Kompany to Huth.

hmm thats a tough one. i think dempsey is well worth having for next week but im more than likely shifting for 38. all depends on the rest of your squad i guess n your transfer plans

I'm not quite sure whether to double up on Eve defence or attack, not Sure if that's the case with you.

      A) Gonna say Mata, Demps
      B) Ade

Wouldn't double up on Chelski attack.

      B) Torres

Chelsea are on form and confidence. Confidence overrides fatigue. I think Mata will play a decent number of minutes and Chelsea will play very well.

Not sure if I should take a hit to get the jellyman in.

Currently its RVP, Aguero, Dave Cisse

I'm only 30 points ahead in my mini league and my opponent still has his WC...... so i'm bricking it!

Worth the hit and for who?

taking Siggy out for anyone for a 4 pointer is a gamble... but i'm thinking about it cause of the Swans next fixtures, dont see them (or him) getting anything away to United & home to Liverpool could go against them too...

i see this week as probably the last decent chance for points from Siggy - so if i take him out and put someone else in... i'll leave em there... they only have to match his points to make it worth it - it's not just about the DGW...

Keep Siggy he's playing Wolves at home. Guaranteed to do something, he was very unlucky last week not to get an assist or goal.

i wouldn't use the word 'guaranteed'.... the only time he got more than 6 points in a home game was against Blackburn... the rest of their home fixtures have produced nothing more than 2-3 pointers for Siggy...

And it's worth bearing in mind the cricket score everyone predicted for City against Wolves last week that never manifested...

If you were on a WC would you:

    A) Play 10 DGWers and Rooney
    B) Play 11 DGWers and bench Rooney
    C) 11 DGWers and No Rooney

Thing is my other two forwads are going to be Jelavic and Cisse but i don't really see another standout option.... Adebayor i guess but the doubt about him starting or not is worrying.

    Terry for McAuley
    VDV for Sess

Giving me the following (* for DGW):

    Krul* (Bogdan)
    BAE*/Kelly*/Terry*
    VDV*/Dempsey*/Bale*/Siggy
    RVP/Rooney/Jelavic*

    (Valencia/Caulker/JEvans)

    Any thoughts?

Isn't BAE injured? You might want to deal with him before McAuley... the other one transfer looks sound but I would be a bit wary of not owning any Newcastle attacking coverage given their form.

Need help. I am trying to make up 21 points. Currently have:

    Krul (Hennessey)

Cahill, N. Taylor, Simpson (Evans, Lichaj)

    VDV(vc), Miyaichi, Siggy, Sess (Valencia)

    Cisse(c), RVP, Tevez

Already took my free transfert to do Walcott to VDV and have 3.6 in the bank.
Thinking of Miyaici to Pienaar and Lichaj to Hibbert or a Tot defender for 8 pt hit.

Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks
